Curtis Samuel Turf Toe, Other Injury Updates
oldmanfan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because that would take away the jollies some folks get out of being negative Nancies. Seriously, losing Samuel hurts if he is out for an extended time. He’ll be counted on a lot in Brady’s offense. I imagine you’ll see a lot of 2 TE looks, maybe even 3. Shakir will get moved around a lot to open things up for him. Coleman has to put on the big boy pants ASAP. And you’ll see Cook and Davis out of the backfield in different ways, split out, lot of motion, etc. Brady has a challenge and has to earn his keep. And I am sure they’re looking at guys that will become available. -

There will be dozens of WRs released in the next week of two including many guys that could have been drafted on day 3. I am quite sure Beane has his eyes open. -

Where’s Ed Rutkowski when you need him?

I think they brought Trubiski back because Josh relates well with him in the QB room. But if his knee is a thing I expect he’ll IR and they’ll make a call to Tannehill. Better a backup QB problem than a starting QB problem.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

I haven’t said a thing about Mahomes or Reid. Why don’t you quit being ridiculous for a change? -

As a proud holder of two degrees from UB, let me just say two alumni blew up that 4th down play -

Way late with the ball then a terrible throw on top of it -

Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field! -
They win the division. 11-6 or 10-7. Fish? They lost a ton on D, Josh owns them, and McD has ways to bottle up Hill and Waddle. Jets? Rogers is old, we can score against their D. Pats? Don’t make me laugh. Full year of Brady’s offense. Balance of run and pass. We’ll be fine on that side of the ball. Defense losing Milano isn’t good but we said the same thing about Edmunds and then Bernard stepped up. I expect Williams to be a capable Milano replacement. And no D backfield will ever be bad on a McD coached team.

By whom?

We are really just talking about the 5th and 6th spots. Shakir, Samuel, Coleman, and Hollins are the top 4. Plus with Kincaid taking a lot of targets the importance of the #5 and # 6 guy is probably more on special teams than anything.
-
Diggs nor Davis were not good end of last year. Shakir was our best WR for sure and is back. Samuel is a Swiss Army knife guy who fits Brady’s offense. They got the guy Josh wanted in Coleman, big guy that can fight for the ball. Those are your top three along with Kincaid who will be a major focus. And they have Cook, Davis, Knox. When people say they didn’t do enough, they did not have huge cap dollars to go after a big time FA. And arguing that taking another pick in like round 4 on a Franklin is as much a shot in the dark as signing a guy like MVS. The offense succeeds based on Brady’s schemes to get guys open. And Josh taking what is there.

I can and I did. Diggs and Davis were not good at the end of last year. -

Shakir, Samuel, Coleman, Hollis are your top 4. Kincaid and Knox when going 2TE. Throw in Cook and Davis. This group is better than the group at the end of last year. -
Update for you. We’re tired of your attitude.

You take a shot and see what happens. Would have been great if he had been able to come in, get his head straight, and be a contributor. But alas not.
