  1. He has a ways to go but the answer is yes. But he also didn't have much competition. Maybe Butler although he completely screwed up cap management.
  2. didn't he say in a recent interview he doesn't even need to play football? Fine. The Steelers should just tell him he has a contract, and if chooses not to honor it then they will suspend him for as long as he decides not to show up, and that any chance of him being traded is out the window. I would have liked to have a talent like him on the Bills, but clearly his ego is getting in the way at this point.
  3. Keep looking dumb. Fine by me. To get back to the trade thing, we have a GM that took a look at the guy, they tried to work something out, apparently the player decided for whatever reason he doesn't want the trade. BFD. Move on. If I'm the Steelers I hold him to his contract, and let him miss the next three seasons if he doesn't want to play.
  4. So what if he didn't want to come? BFD. He could have come to a team with a young, upcoming QB that would have made him the focus of the offense, and he said no? That's his problem, not the Bills. I agree with a statement above that he's trying to force his release so he can renegotiate with a team of his choice.
  5. None of the top players want to play for the Bills. Name the players they actively went after, the top players, that they made a serious effort to bring on that said no. The pity me, overreaction crap around here is crazy today.
  6. Humans eat cows. Cows eat grass. Therefore humans eat grass. You're making the same false utilization of the transitive property.
  7. Why do you care what some idiot host says? It is not a new low, they kicked the tires, they didn't like the deal, they didn't make the deal. You are looking for any reason you can to bash a team you supposedly root for. That is pathetic.
  8. I understand the transitive property and it has no bearing here. If a=b and b=c then a=c. That is a mathematic formulation and has no bearing whatsoever on the present topic. I'm embarrassed by a fan saying he is embarrassed by the fact that his team kicked the tires on a guy and decided to bow out. There is no reason for him to be embarrassed; it is valid to be embarrassed by another fan being so ridiculous. For your formulation to be valid the fan would have to equal the team.
  9. Not at all. Beane did his job, looked into bringing a very talented guy here. Didn't work out, probably because Rosenhaus was involved. So you move on.
  10. I think he'll probably be a good player. But I think Taylor has more upside.
  11. I watched the entire game. I wasn't impressed. But then again the entire Bama line got beat.
  12. Concerned about Jonah after the NCAA championship game. He got manhandled by the Clemson front.
  13. Having a solid vet C would be great for Allen. Can set protections, line calls, etc. But they are not going to spend wildly and lock up all their cap space. They want to be sure they keep young guys like Tre and Milano and Dawkins and so on. So they know they'll need space for extensions. I see a C and RT, and a TE. Other than those it will be interesting.
