  1. Agree. And we often saw him animated, pissed and passionate on the sidelines, but in this clip you can definitely see the sheer rage in his eyes. Like 100% anger.
  2. We can only hope that he was reaching out for some fashion advice...
  3. Love it, it’s got throwback simplicity.
  4. They actually beat the Globetrotters once, in 1971. From what I read up on, Generals were a totally separate franchise from The Globetrotters, and they would field a pretty legit team. It was kinda like WWF, as in yes the ‘ending’ and some of the ‘theatrics’ were scripted, but for the most part the games were really being played in between those moments. Washington Generals accidentally went “off script” one game in 1971 and the clock ran out while they were ahead. Whoops!
  5. “World All-Stars”, if I remember correctly. Blah. Also discovered there’s multiple Globetrotters teams that tour different regions instead of just the one real squad, and it definitely showed. So many bricks.
  6. Fantastic and I don’t even need to watch, highly quotable! I like to use “he’s spinning the ball on his finger, JUST TAKE IT FROM HIM” on occasion during Bills games ?
  7. Took the nephews to see the Globetrotters a few years ago. Was severely disappointed to learn that the opponent is no longer the Generals.
  8. Yes. There is absolutely no middle ground between workout shirt and powder blue three piece with a plaid fedora.
  9. Maybe now he can afford something besides those shiny workout shirts.
  10. Dick Jauron. Sooo......
  11. Pretty entertaining ballgame last night, especially considering it was one of aprox three MLB games that I watch annually.
  12. Geddy Lee is the King of Canada. Fight me.
  13. Make sure they stumble over to your table uninvited at about 8am and yell “CAHMAAAAN I THOUGHT THERE WAS A FOOTBAAHHLL GAME TODDAYYY AYY-AYY-AYY-AYYYYY!!!”
  14. We already hang on the deck for warm weather roadies, so we’re way ahead of the curve here.
  15. I dabble. How old are the speakers? You sure the cones aren’t just dry rotted? I had a nice set of 1980’s-ish JBL‘s re-coned and they sound good as new.
  16. Treat yourself to a 2am strip steak and off-menu wings at Mother’s. There’s been plenty of good popping up in Buffalo the last 10 years, but Mother’s is my all time favorite Buffalo dining experience, going back at least 20 years. Come as you are, tee shirt or three piece suit and no one bats an eye. Love it.
  17. We went to 24K Gold on 5 one time after we left a classic cold & rainy Bills-Browns sh*t show at halftime. Most of us still had the tailgate buzz on and it was too early to go home. Anyhap, we get to the joint and we were a little early for any “entertainment” (probably for the best, ha). But they were bringing out their postgame ‘buffet’, which was a couple trays of cocktail weenies and some other unidentifiable fare. I wasn’t about to touch that grub in the first place, then the ladies waiting to start their shifts set on it like moths to a flame, sticking their hands right in there. It was one of the most disturbing moments of my life, and unfortunately somehow one of the best moments of the drought. Then there was the time the Pats put a fifty-burger on us, first half it was already like 28-3, someone in our group says “they score again, we’re going to Old County Buffet”. Boom, TD Pats, we all just stood up and silently headed out. Again, still first-half buzzed, it was one of the best/grossest meal of my life. The soft serve twist really brought it all together.
  18. @Augie I’ve never been to a holiday/reunion/event w my Lebanese side that WASN’T all about the food ? And yes, most of the traditional dishes are very labor intensive, that’s why they only show up at holidays these days. The older generation is slowly leaving us, but my wife and I try to learn all we can, while we can! There’s a Lebanese restaurant in Niagara Falls, “755 Lounge”. From Lebanon thru Toronto to NF. Amazing authentic cuisine and the family that owns/operates are very nice people.
  19. Yeah this is my takeaway too. There are entire generations over there that don’t know what peace and stability is, and that’s sad for any populous no matter the geography. I’m Lebanese on my mom’s side, hope your wife knows all the family recipes! My gram pushing 90 still makes killer grape leaves, taboulleh & kibbeh for holidays.
  20. Hope they really capture all the buttcracks and sweat, or else forget it. Oh, and the jerseys w duct taped names.
  21. Back it up, mask it up, clap it up.
  22. Comeon Todd!
  23. Got my jetglo Ric bass, would love to add that jetglo 325 someday, but I don’t really mess w the six stringers too much. But still, gorgeous axe all around.
  24. My god plz come up with a vaccine. Not for health and safety reasons, but just so everyone on all sides can finally stfu.
