  1. Opening this thread is like stepping in a deuce.
  2. Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
  3. I’ll take the nameplate swap over a Jim Kelly on a new style jersey. Like I mentioned, I personally like my jerseys legit, and I don’t buy or wear modern players anyways. Heck, I rarely wear any of my jerseys outside my house either. But for a $20 nameplate update, I say go for it, you don’t have to fork over to the NFL money machine over and over to be a fan of your team.
  4. @Not at the table Karlos Don’t get me wrong, I have a decent jersey collection myself, but mostly hockey as they have more “character” imo than football jerseys. And I am definitely on point when it comes to the details. Love adding proper patches for the time period as well (ie ‘NHL 75’ on my ‘93 Andreychuk sweater), and the lettering/numbering is always correct. Personally, I’d never buy a knockoff, and yeah there’s definitely some trainwreck looking junk out there. But for $30 I understand why people buy them and don’t have to worry about the inevitable tailgate/gameday spills and stains. Funniest example I can think of though, buddy bought a knockoff in the lot one gameday morning, was all stoked about how “real” it looked until I pointed out that the Bison on the “Bills 50” patch was actually the Red Bull logo. Ha!
  5. Sorrentino’s Sports on Sheridan in Tonawanda, they do great work and it’ll match. And to all the Jersey Judge Judys, what do you care? You don’t have to wear it. More power to youse up-cyclers! Keep duct taping, I think it’s hilarious, in a good way!
  6. https://sports.ha.com/itm/football-collectibles/uniforms/1990-scott-norwood-super-bowl-xxv-game-worn-buffalo-bills-jersey-with-player-letter/a/50029-80073.s https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/bills-kicker-scott-norwoods-wide-right-jersey-from-super-bowl-xxv-up-for-auction/article_b71eac8c-e7e5-11ea-a735-cb2144a5e684.html#tracking-source=home-top-story-1 $23k & counting! He sold it to a collector in ‘08, and the anonymous owner is auctioning it. I say we “go fund me”, bring it back to Buffalo and bury it deep, only to be exhumed when we can wrap our first Lombardi in it! “This letter is to certify that the accompanying game worn jersey was issued to me by the Buffalo Bills and worn during Super Bowl XXV versus the New York Giants. The jersey has been in my family possession since that game and is an original and the only one that I wore at Super Bowl XXV. I hope that a fan enjoys it as much as I enjoyed playing football in the NFL. “Sincerely, Scott A. Norwood”
  7. Welp, being a Buffalo sports fan at times is tantamount to wiping with sandpaper, so there’s that.
  8. I mean I’m not about to pounce on the kid for playing tennis, I’m not that specifically petty, but as for the fam overall...”meh”. TP just rubs me the wrong way, has from the beginning. I’m certainly glad we have two pro franchises that will remain in Buffalo for the foreseeable future, but I would agree that the hero worship gets to be a bit much.
  9. Learned to drive in a 77 Pontiac Bonneville Safari....in the early 90’s. Thing was a beast, and also a fantastic egg-raid mobile, ha! Powder blue & panels! Almost this exact car, ours was a shade lighter blue.
  10. Doesn’t look too bad against the lighter color. That green one is a trainwreck all around. My wife liked the look of the Renegade when they first came out, but it didn’t take a ton of sniffing around to discover that they are trash. Hard pass.
  11. I live on a relatively busy road, anything & everything that I put to the curb is gone within hours. I have a ride on mower that needs a lot of work, but I don’t want to futz with it. Thinking about putting it our there w a “for parts” sign.
  12. This thread delivers.
  13. “Oh look, camp update thread!“ Opens thread. Starts reading thread.... “Oh look, this thread....AGAIN.“
  14. Youse guys wanna gripe about the “woke” generation, welp, that’s the key demographic for all of these pro sports. They don’t care about cranky cops tuning out, and it ain’t even about the politics. It’s allllll about marketing and that sweet sweet cash. You think the main PR/marketing depts for these leagues haven’t weighed pros/cons from every angle and determined what percentage of viewers(read: consumers/spenders) they can afford to lose vs. the ones they will keep? And they’ve certainly factored in that a 20-something has 40+ more years of spending on their product vs. a 60-something who’s got maybe half of that left. My unsolicited advice? It only bothers you if you let it. So watch the game and enjoy the football, and know that the only “cause” the NFL cares about is the dollar. Oh, sorry OP. Put me down for a “no”. I ain’t payin for a Bills Network.
  15. Was on WIVB last night. Those uniform and our linebackers are horrendous, ha. This was also the game that my roommate’s dog chomped my ass because I pancaked our other roommate in the OT victory celebration. Oh, those old “bro” apartments....
  16. “Live, Clap, Love”
  17. Hey speaking of smart, did youse guys know Fitz went to Harvard??
  18. Make sure to capture that distinct whizz hitting the sink sound.
  19. Big ol’ Blue Heron out by the retention pond at my office today.
  20. Love it. All of it.
  21. CFL is a very entertaining product, always stop and watch if it’s on, that goes way back to my childhood. Gotta love border town TV! BC Lions are my adopted squad.
  22. Man, idk if I can handle that seeing as “playoff” hockey in August is already bigtime effing with my internal clock.
  23. Whole thing gets shut down by november.
