  1. Gilly should just reply with a shot of his paystub. "Scoreboard", Jonah.
  2. I don't think it's so much an "inferiority" thing, I think it's what this fanbase has been reduced to: rooting 'against' everything because we've had nothing to root 'for' in a long, long time. Like how many visiting guys get booed at Sabres games because they played here at one time? A lot. For what good reason? Because some of them somehow escaped sports purgatory? "Boo that man! He's on a different team now!!". Eh. I'd rather root for our guys than be a "jaded ex".
  3. This is a thing, huh? People are really mad over this? Good gravy. Funniest part is, he's not wrong. Why get upset? He most certainly will be on more nat'l broadcasts than he was here. Shocking!!
  4. So sad how his career ended, would have never happened today. He would have been properly tested for his injuries. Also makes you wonder if a guy like that would have even bothered with football in this era. By that I mean making huge $ in baseball without the physical risks of football.
  5. Yeah, not many 'stadium rock' acts left that can fill a barn that big anymore. However, both G-n-R and U2 are extremely irrelevant at this point in time. Put these shows there in 1987, would have been packed. My wife, huge G-n-R fan, was even like "meh, no thanks. they're just sad at this point". And also, $30 parking now? Thanks Terry!
  6. Every year these guys are "clueless" in July...yet end up being right by December.
  7. We don't need your pity. Thanks.
  8. The gif used that was used as an example in this thread. Hogan had a step. He was open (all day) by NFL standards. An actual NFL QB leads him with the throw, and it's a TD. Doesn't take a hall-of-famer to make that throw. Again, what a difference it makes.
  9. This thread is dripping with jelly. Rooting for injuries? Stay classy, 'mafia'.
  10. What a difference a real NFL QB can make.
  11. Keep rationalizing because he's a pro ball player. If it was just some schlub on the street the apologists would applaud the police.
  12. Such a welcome change from the undisciplined Rex days.
  13. No longer get hyped up for "unknowns". Haven't for a while now. Call it what you will. I want to see the proof, not listen to guesses.
  14. You meant to say "lots of guesses".
  15. They can throw around all the cash they want, not gonna win until there's cohesiveness from top to bottom. I'll spot them the learning curve, and willing to 'wait and see' with the new regime. Both teams.
  16. Pbbt. The tailgate and the fellas mean more than the franchise. Lost a lot of character when Ralph passed. Went from "lovable loser/old school/thorn in the side of the 'Joneses' of the league" to "clueless rich guy fanboy". I'm just not endeared to the team the way I was under Ralph.
  17. Gonna be 45 mnutes of late substitutions and 15 minutes of the Ryan Bros on that bike.
  18. Not gonna disagree that the old days were wilder. I stated it earlier in this thread. And I was at every home playoff game for the fist two SB runs, so I feel ya. There's way more security these days and easier ways to report 'trouble' as well. Would be interesting to see how post-season would play out around here. I'm guessing calmer than the 90's. There's only one way to find out. Field a playoff team, and we'll see.
  19. Ah yes. The home opener. The high point of every season. It's all fun and games til 1:00
  20. You have to make the playoffs to have a shot at a title. So I've heard.
  21. Don't mind dumping Ennis either. Liked Foligno, but sometimes you gotta give a little to get what you want.
