I'll take unproven commodities using a fresh approach over known 'qualities' and the same old overlapping rosters and philosophies. Sure, these guys could flame out spectacularly, but at the very least they're doing it on their terms, in their vision, rather than hammering the square peg into the round hole. I'm not "falling for" anything out of OBD. I'm intrigued by the new approach, and I don't expect results overnight.

This was certainly a head scratcher, considering they hovered around .500 for two seasons following three ~50 point seasons.

That's fair, but I also like the leverage a top 5 would give. Our guy's not there? Move on down and grab more picks. Either way, I think the FO is on the right path. You have to deconstruct to reconstruct. I'm all for a clean slate with a vision for the future.

Tom Donahoe did nothing for you in that regard? Russ Brandon as GM? Marv as GM? At least give the new guys a year or two. I'm as salty as they come, and I'm even willing to let this play out for a few season. Weather I pay for season tix again after this year is a different story.

A thousand percent positive it was KMart, Military Rd Niagara Falls. I still know the spot in that store where electronics was at the time. I really saved $107 of my own money($99 plus tax!). My aunt took me, and I can still see the girl behind the counter counting out all the singles, ha!

I still fire up Madden '94 on the ol' Sega Genesis once in a while for old times sake. Systems lost me when controllers became more than a D-pad and three buttons. Of course I am an OG(original gamer) that saved up to buy my own Atari 2600 at KMart ca. 1981.
