  1. There are very, very few players who go 100% every single down. He's an elite lockdown CB. Imaginary issue.
  2. Next time you have a puff, you might want to pass the bong.
  3. It's pretty well known that all the scouting reports felt he'd benefit from a year or two on the bench. He wasn't ready year one, that is OK. He had a poor camp this year, but at some point, they're going to hand him the job regardless. He might need to take his lumps in a real game to grow. I'm not super optimistic that he'll figure it out, but stranger things have happened. He hasn't practiced all year. This is a redshirt season.
  4. I think Brock is a placeholder for a week or two, then they'll roll with Paxton Lynch. You HAVE to play your 1st round pick eventually. He is a great GM. He has consistently brought in talent through the draft and free agency. Wins and rings don't lie. Brock - they wanted to resign him,he just chased the money to Houston after what he felt was a raw deal in Denver. Elway benefited by dodging that bullet. Lynch is incomplete. You can't bust if you don't play.
  5. This franchise needs to be relegated to the Big Ten. They are making the JETS Colts and 49ers look competent!
  6. They do, and some of it probably "coach speak", but if true, they were doing their due diligence and exploring opportunities to improve talent on their team.
  7. It was just an inquiry, nothing more, nothing less. I think teams call around way more than we think. Who knows, maybe McB wanted to see if he steal him for a 6 pack of Troegs?
  8. The Patriots model can only be pulled off by Belichick & Brady. We've seen it attempted many times by other teams, but all fall flat on their face. If a terrible franchise was looking for a team to emulate, I'd pick the Steelers, Seahawks or Packers model. For obvious reasons, you don't stand a chance if you try to do it their way.
  9. I'm pretty surprised that Carolina let him go, but I think it's an awesome deal! 3rd and 7th? Chump change. He's a huge target - just throw it near him and he'll go get it!
  10. I didn't realize our offense was so special that we couldn't utilize one of the best deep threats in the game. Let's not kid ourselves, he would be a big upgrade for this team.
  11. When the Bills moved Sammy, I think it was clear that they didn't feel a high priced WR, which he'll likely be in 2018, was necessary. They'll prioritize other positions with their draft picks and dollars, which is fine. As a hypothetical, if you could get TY Hilton for a 4th (which is insane for the Colts), you HAVE to make that trade.
  12. If you move a player like Glen, or if the Colts move TY, it only makes sense if you re-invest into a different position you find more valuable. Moving a proven WR, and then using that draft pick on an unproven one, is really silly.
  13. There are just not enough skill position position buyers on the market. Always will be that way. That doesn't mean you'll be able to slide in with some garbage draft pick and steal him away. People will give up plenty of currency for a QB, LT or DE/OLB, but high price WR & RB deals are rare. He's in his prime at 28, barring unforeseen injuries, he has many years of elite production left.
  14. I'll repeat myself. TY Hilton has averaged 1200 yards and 6 TDs through the past 4 seasons. He is on a contract in line with that performance and is in the prime of his career. Why do you think you'd get him for some mid round pick, or even a 2nd? I think this place VASTLY overrates the value of draft picks for proven players.
  15. If Duane Brown can get a 2019 2nd, 2018 5th and Jeremy Lane, i think Cordy is worth a 1st rounder...
  16. To a team with tons of cap room, it matters little. His contract is not out of line. Anyway, I don't think any deal gets done. He's worth a 1st round pick and change and no team wants to give up that kind of currency for a wide receiver.
  17. It's a talent driven league, I don't think the contract, which is fair and reasonable for his production, is that big of a deal. I don't think anyone gives them enough compensation to make this deal go through.
  18. $11-14 million is pretty much the going rate for a top tier, but not elite receiver. Antonio Brown is $17 million, and OBJ might break that this offseason.
  19. The almighty draft pick. Established young LTs should never be traded!
  20. 4th round pick. He was coming off his worst year (550 yards) and his "character issues" are in a class of their own. The Patriots were the only team that could manage Moss.
  21. I don't buy that for a minute. He has averaged 1200 yards and 6 TDs through the past 4 seasons. Not a chance you get a receiver like that for a 4th. Reggie Ragland was moved for a 4th and never played a snap and was coming off a shredded knee! Sammy was moved for a 2nd & player, Cooks a 1st and neither are as good as TY. If you could get him for a 4th, you HAVE to make that trade.
  22. Yes, we should, assuming the process is valid. That will be revealed in time.
  23. We made this mistake a decade ago with Jason Peters. He'll have a bust in Canton in a few years. Let's not make that same mistake again. Draft picks are nice, but not when you're giving away young established players at critical positions to acquire them.
  24. Cooks went for a late 1st rounder, and Hilton's a better receiver than him. It will take major currency to get it done.
