  1. Bay area is not exactly Florida, if you know what I mean. Plenty of young people and new tech money. Lots of foreign $$$ too.
  2. An older customer of mine was a long time HP employee, toiling away in one of their engineering labs. Let's just say that he's looking forward to selling his home in Palo Alto.
  3. People pay stupid money to live in many places. Hawai'i, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, New York City, Aspen, etc. Total upper class first world problem.
  4. ^ Good point. Make sure you have proper expectations on weather. Weather on the coast can be wildly different than the interior.
  5. Your annual ski trip is to WNY? Can you upgrade ? Jackson is having a great year. Our big trip is in 2 weeks. Silverton CO here we come! Blows the local I-70 hills out of the water.
  6. OP - don't call it San Fran either. That's what the tourists say
  7. I travel to the Bay area quite frequently for work and know it pretty well. You're going to need more cash to get a single family home. Straight up. POS homes are going for stupid money right now. Do you need to work in San Francisco? Driving into the city would suck big time, plus you have bridge tolls. San Francisco is a wonderful city, but don't discount Berkeley, Santa Cruz, San Jose, etc. Plenty to see and do. It is my favorite food region in the country! Between Caltrain, BART and the Cap. Corridor there are some great options to get around quickly.
  8. Anyone remember the Dave Chapelle skit about new songs from Tupac? "I wrote this song in 94....". Funny ****. Jimi's estate is sure milking it.
  9. Stick a fork in the Kubiak system. It is toast!
  10. Jordan #1, Kareem #2, Lebron #3 Nobody could defend the skyhook!
  11. Not sure if he's there yet, but I think he's the best TE of our generation. He's produced insane numbers and he's only 28!
  12. Anything could happen, but we're much more competitive with a healthy #25 in our lineup. He's got a bad ankle. For a RB that makes his money based on his elusiveness and cuts, that's pretty unfavorable. I'm assuming Shady is either inactive or ineffective. We win because we turn Bortles back into a pumpkin or Tyrod makes some big plays with his feet.
  13. It was interesting, but I found it very love/hate, much like Carrey's comedy. We're digging Mindhunter and Scrotal Recall / Lovesick.
  14. Bizarre winter. Some of the ski areas here that put up 275-400" of snow annually have 20" of snow on the year. 20". I just got back from 2 weeks in WNY and we had a -8F day at my parents house (near Kissing Bridge) with a good 3'+ of new snow too. Now it might snow in Tallahassee? WTF
  15. In our industry (electronics manufacturing), bonuses typically go to the operations crew after a good year. Sales is exempt since we have our commissions. This year, we had record breaking growth, and everyone got one! Bonus is in the mail, boss says its decent, so cautiously optimistic I may be able to get a new toy, or two!
  16. We should stick with bowling ball shots and smothering Pinto Ron in condiments. Those are fun and harmless.
  17. Incredible spot, make sure you cash out your 401K before you go home shopping. I could never live in a ski town. It's a very strange vibe between the 1%ers who've retired there, and the crusty locals who got in before real estate went through the roof.
  18. Salt Lake City. Beautiful city, very close to the mountains and its shedding the Mormon cloak and becoming a little more hip. If I have to spend more time in Hood River, OR / White Salmon, WA as expected for work, I think that will be right up there too. That place is special.
  19. I believe it, people love to talk! Prison wouldn't be so popular if folks could "zip it".
  20. Man, if there is one thing I learned watching this series, its STFU and lawyer up. I always did enjoy the conspiracy theory angle. Yeah, like a bunch of civilized rednecks who stumbled into authority roles in their podunk county could pull this off.
  21. I think it's a good rule to have in place, but it's a joke when it's met in this manner. If you fire someone day one, and immediately hire their replacement in 8 hours, what kind of interview process did you really go through? It does not take 20 minutes to interview an executive to run a football club. Then again, this is the dumpster fire masquerading as the Cleveland Browns, so I guess they should defy reason.
  22. The better question, is the offense as constructed "good enough" for a young QB to succeed? I think it's a decent situation with average talent. It will never be perfect.
  23. I don't think our WRs are amazing, but they are not trash either. When you look at the resume of Benjamin and Matthews, they have clearly established themselves as productive players. Clay is an average option at TE, and with time Zay may be good. It could be worse... Denver takes the field every week with 2 pro bowl receivers, but it doesn't matter much if you've got terrible QB play.
