I really am struggling with the value some of these guys are getting. Robert Quinn for a 4th rounder Michael Bennett for a 5th rounder and some bum receiver Marcus Peters for a 2018 4th and 2019 2nd Seriously? Bennett is an outstanding defensive linemen, equally great at rushing the passer from all positions on the line. Players like that shouldn't be available for a 5th round pick. What is that 5th round pick going to do for you? The odds that a 5th rounder will bust are pretty high, and they are more likely a backup then an impact player. If one team acquired all 3 players, they'd seriously upgrade their defense for pretty much nothing.

I'd sign him. Elite football player! -

He's an elite corner, to release him outright would be crazy. -
Does your company close under real bad weather?
TheElectricCompany replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Our office is in San Jose - we don't get bad weather! I do start my day later when I have to shovel the driveway -
I've got a tough time believing a guy who has always struggled with accuracy and vision will go high in the 1st. Great prospect, but you don't take "big guys with a big arm" that early. He's very boom/bust. Mayfield will slide just because he's a small guy, otherwise he's very intriguing. Tape don't lie.

Jordan Matthews not coming back

Bills are becoming a WR graveyard. -
It is extremely subjective. That is why you have guys that are "1st round prospects" go in the late 3rd, and "undrafted prospects" going in the 3rd.

Whaley's opinion, very great point he made. Your high draft picks should aim for these types of players. We’ve got a list," said Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley, "of six positions we’re going to pay." The positions: quarterback, left tackle, and a playmaker on offense; a cornerback, a pass rusher, and a playmaker on defense https://www.theringer.com/2016/9/7/16077250/the-nfl-has-an-age-problem-7068825845e4

From Saquon Barkley's NFL scouting report, I found this tidbit interesting.... You don't screw up the special ones when you are a talent evaluator. This guy is special. Any concerns you file on him just feels like nitpicking to fill out the report." -- NFL general manager Some guys are just that good.

I don't want to call them character concerns, but his persona was well known, and clearly a detriment to him getting draft high.

A few comments... You have the benefit of hindsight. Easy to say in 2018 that Randy Moss was better than Rob Johnson, or D.Hopkins over EJ Manuel. Good luck trying to predict the upcoming draft class with a 40-50% bust rate. BPA is impossible to define. Every team has an entirely different draft board, weighted differently based on dozens of factors. Our perception of BPA is largely fueled by what Kiper, Mayock, and other draft bigshots say. Ever notice how the SI, CBS, NFLN and ESPN big boards are pretty much the same thing? The differences between them are minimal. You can't just go pure BPA. Example...Denver Broncos at #5. Let's say Bradley Chubb is there, truly an elite prospect as a pass rusher and he's arguably be the best player on the board, but they'd be foolish to pick him. Von Miller has a $120 million contract, another 1st rounder in Shane Ray who has looked great when healthy and a viable rotational guy in Shaq Barrett. You just don't have a need for another OLB/DE. What is Barkley fell to the Bills? He'd be the BPA, but we really don't benefit from picking him, unless you want to stop giving Shady the ball. You should pick the best player available, at a key position of need.

Garbage plates are an excellent "to go" choice. The burgers, mac salad and meat sauce conglomerate into the best leftover outside of Thanksgiving. .... .... .... ....

Rumor: L.Jackson 2nd QB on Bills Board
TheElectricCompany replied to Ittakestime's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He doesn't make it past pick 15. -
I just can't see a scenario where the Bills jump that high. If a top QB prospect drifts into the teens, which I think happens, that's where you make a move. Barkley + Best Quarterback Available is a smart play for the Browns.

Kellys mouth cancer is back

Ugh. Man can't catch a break. He's got a really tough road ahead. !@#$ cancer. -
There are a few things I miss about living in Rochester, but a garbage plate is not one of them. Good old college memories.... pounding **** beer and wolfing down a plate at Fairport hots.

I'm stoked for 2024! We are going to buy tickets on SW to Austin & Buffalo and make the call 48 hours prior based on weather. We had 94% here and it was cool, but it was not 94% of the experience. It's totality or bust. You should sign up for the RR mailing list and find a show that works for you! Frontier is doing directs to DIA now and you can get to and from CO pretty cheap. I hate the term bucket list, but things I'd like to do in the next ~10 years: Snowboard Alaska with a helicopter operation. Travel to the Far East Celebrate a Bills Super Bowl victory. Complete a ~100 mile backpack (High Uinta trail, CDT through Weminuche / S San Juan Wilderness)

You'd love Lunch Rock at Winter Park. You might as well hand over your first born to get a sandwich and drink up there.
