  1. They run a Kubiak/Shanahan offense, which is run heavy and built around setting up play action. The Browns offensive salaries are backward - you don't pay your starting WRs and TE ~$45m annually when your offense runs through two RBs making ~$6M annually.
  2. This is so confusing... Jags trade Yannick to Vikings for a 2021 2nd and 2021 5th rounder Yannick gets 4 sacks Vikings trade Yannick to Ravens for 2021 3rd and 2022 5th rounder. WTF???
  3. So...we're doing this already?
  4. Is it "draft speculation" season already? Geezus, that was quick.
  5. You don't get to claim any "blueprint" when you lose.
  6. You play the schedule you're given. Somedays you get the Chiefs, somedays you get the Jets. A win is a win. Let's get Adam Gase fired and use that momentum to take down Russ in two weeks.
  7. Thank goodness we get the J-E-T-S next week, we need a "get right" game bad!
  8. Chiefs 34 - Bills 31 That's not a garbage time catchup either, I do think we'll keep it close, but I think its Angry Mahomes > Angry Josh tonight.
  9. Chiefs are the only team in the league with a 16 game preseason, maybe we can catch them napping. If Josh wants to join the elite QB table, he needs to start winning some of these premier matchups. It might not be this one, but he needs to hang in there and keep it close.
  10. Agreed - it was a tremendous throw, but we have QBs making "nearly impossible" throws every week. He is showing the ability to make all the throws, which is required of an elite QB. That's exciting, and now it's just about consistency. Fun stat too, Josh owns 2/20 on the year https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/top-plays/improbable-completions/2020/all
  11. That's a hard one to prove. I think Mahomes, Rodgers, Wilson, and Josh can all do it. We know Brady, Big Ben and Brees have thrown countless red zone darts over their career. Watson has shown the ability (not as familiar) - Lamar can do it if he's throwing to Mark Andrews 😁 We're experiencing a QB renaissance, and there many guys who can sling it all over the field. Josh is one of them, but I don't watch his passes and think "he's the only one who can do that".
  12. I'll bite...prove it. I love what Josh is doing, and of course he is a tremendously gifted passer, but the whole "nobody else can make those throws" shtick is pretty silly. We have seen all the elite QBs make some tremendous throws (Mahomes is in a class of his own) in recent weeks, and even some of the up and comers (Herbert!) have been dropping dimes. It's not like the Bills are asking WRs to run routes that rely on spectacular throws either.
  13. With the COVID landscape, I'd be extremely hesitant to throw valuable draft capital at any player. Beane and Mcdermott decided to invest in a heavy rotation, group pass rush approach. It hasn't worked out yet, but it is not time to blow that model up.
  14. We don't want "good ones", this thread is about elite pass rushers You prepared to give up at least 2 1st rounders and $20M+ annually to get one? That's the going rate.
  15. Yeah, I wish we had a TOP 5 ALL TIME pass rusher too. Those guys grow on trees
  16. We've had "Mossed" plays for years, do we need to start calling these "Henrys"? Norman should have made a business decision and let him pass.
  17. He had ZERO carries over 20 yards last year - talk about a depreciating asset. If you want 18 carries for 56 yards, and 5 catches for 22 yards, he's your guy!
  18. Where there's smoke, there's fire, and it does seem there are reasonable concerns around his work ethic and maturity. I still think WFT is a terrible environment for any young QB.
  19. Interesting read from Deadspin* and the raw deal Haskins is getting https://deadspin.com/dwayne-haskins-sacrificed-for-nfl-nepotism-of-scott-tur-1845339489 I'll punt on the race angle, but they make some good points here and there. *The new, bland and largely neutered version of Deadspin.
  20. Damn, this is pretty granola stuff. Most outdoor activities in quiet places will elicit a calming response. How this became "therapy" of hippies chewing on moss is bizarre. Activities like hiking, backpacking, hunting for game, hunting for mushrooms, geocaching, cross country skiing, etc. are good enough in themselves.
  21. For elite QB play, there is Mahomes, a gap, and then everyone else. I think he has GOAT potential - he's that good. Plenty of teams passed on Mahomes, but only team traded the pick to KC. That will always be a "What If?" for BIlls fans, and that's OK. Until we win a ring of our own, these threads will continue to repeat themselves.
  22. Plenty of people were wrong about Josh, and many of those reasons were completely justified, even some of the cruel ones. So what? Own it and move on, or laugh at yourself like the writer did. I never could get past the NCAA and year 1-2 numbers, but I'm fully on the hype train now! True story - last year at the Jim Kelly charity event, Josh came out towards the end for pictures and autographs. My wife and SIL rushed him and got great pictures with him, while I stayed back. Why? Because I didn't believe he had what it takes to be a star QB. These days, I''d absolutely rush him for a picture, just need to finish my crow BBQ first!
  23. Idle time can be very high with fly rods. Tiny bugs, changing tippet, swapping leaders, multiple fly rigs, it can be a PITA. Get your kit and technique dialed in before you get on the water!
  24. This article is a great synopsis of this thread: https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2020/10/8/21498755/josh-allen-buffalo-bills-breakout-season-qb-scouting This section stood out:
