  1. Ah, OK. Glad he got it corrected in shorts. Just like Tim Tebow did, right? Dammit, we need some real Josh Allen NFL action, because his time in Wyoming left too much to be desired. The others were actually top notch QBs in college.
  2. Should be able to get him for a 5th.
  3. Man, now I've really heard it all.
  4. Of course not. They saw a franchise QB. Would you expect them to say otherwise? I'm sure they could explain away all of his flaws.
  5. I don't want to diminish a quality work ethic and drive, but let's be real, we are talking about elite athletes. Nearly all of them are film, gym and training rats. Sure, some guys take it a step further, but most of them are working at their craft from sunup to sundown. This is not a case of everyone working 40 hours, and Allen will succeed because he's willing to work 60. What makes people worry is that when you turn on film, or look at stats, Josh Allen has been a mediocre QB, plain and simple. That's a really tough con to look past for a top 7 pick!
  6. Every team in the league does their homework, and they still make foolish mistakes every draft. The Bills are no different. Zero is a strong statement. With the advanced statistics that exist, I am sure there are some areas where Allen looks impressive. Maybe snow games in Laramie, or when the offense is in Dick Jauron mode and goes "run-run-pass". I don't know. I do know that there are tons of statistics, and not ones that are narrow in scope, out there where Allen looks quite poor, and that is concerning until he proves otherwise.
  7. Nah. I like Lamar, but I never felt the Bills were interested. He's a playmaker. I hope he does well in Baltimore. For better or worse, I felt it would be Darnold or Allen.
  8. Adult large, I'll PM you my address. At the least, Lamar will run for a few TDs.
  9. I want Josh Allen to be a HOFer and win multiple championships here, however.... Best arms in the history of the league? So what. He has yet to prove consistent accuracy, especially on deep balls. Per CFB Film Room, he completed 12.5% of his 40+ yard throws in 2017. Every other top prospect had at least 30%+ completion. The stats on mid range and short range throws are similar, he is ranked quite poorly compared to his peers. Athletic? Of course he is. I haven't seen a 1st round pick that I wouldn't consider an athlete. I don't think he will be able to move around like Baker or Lamar, and we're going to be waiting a long time to see him rip off big runs like Cam or Russel Wilson. Nice Wonderlic score, but it doesn't outweigh the reality that he was a sub-par college player. Would you rather have a player like Lamar who scored poorly on the Wonderlic, but was an incredible playmaker at the position, or a great test taker who was "just a guy" in college? "Trending upward?" - of course he is, just like every other 1st round pick before him. It's has been well written that there are very few positive CFB statistics for Allen, and I find that a very fair and reasonable criticism of him. I really hope all these doubts are erased.
  10. You can try Cincinnati chili while you are there. It's a delicacy!
  11. I turned the page on Buffalo & Rochester 7 years ago. While trips to WNY are heavy in nostalgia (Barbill beef on weck!), after about a week, I remember why I left that place. Canalside and Harbor Center are nice, but come on now, I know WNYers are not simpletons. We are talking about a blip on the radar. Is that all it takes for a city to "turn around"? Get out of here.
  12. Maybe. Or they've ventured outside the WNY bubble and seen something better.
  13. I would rate Santa Clara & Oakland pretty low. It's too bad the 49ers left San Francisco. Even though it's full of hipsters, yuppies and trust fund techies, it's still a gorgeous city with so much history and things to do. Santa Clara is a giant strip mall. Some of the best food I've ever had, but would I go to watch football there? No way. Oakland is a expensive dump (no joke!). Buffalo wouldn't be the worst, but it would be pretty far down on the list. Sorry. Best places? Seattle, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville and Denver
  14. I don't think looks are what he was after.
  15. ^^ Who cares? Jimmy doesn't have to marry her. He just wanted to some variety, and my goodness, does she have something unique to offer
  16. $74 million guaranteed. Blood in the water for some of the sharks out there.
  17. Jimmy sees what he likes, eh? !@#$ing life preservers, geezus.
  18. Well, if you want to make it about stats, there are very few that paint a positive picture of Allen. Thank goodness training camp is right around the corner.
  19. Thank goodness. I was concerned he was robbing liquor stores and knocking up hookers.
  20. Tastes like chicken?
  21. Cooks is a much better receiver than Watkins. One is a decoy. The other has puts up 1,100 yard seasons with ease.
  22. HOF QB and a top 10 offensive line always helps. Kamara and Ingram compliment each other really well. We have been spoiled by players like Kamara, Hunt, Johnson and Jordan Howard, but teams are still doing really well drafting RBs high. Fournette, Elliot, Gurley have all excelled and are a critical reason those teams had winning records. Barkley should be in that class real soon. Considering how depressed the RB market is, it's crazy that more teams aren't investing in that area. Two Pro Bowl WRs will cost you $25-$35m. Two Pro Bowl RBs could be had for $15m.
  23. If there is a prospect out there that can generate 1800+ rushing and receiving yards annually, he'll go in the top 5.
  24. I thought it was rich for Sammy, but his deal didn't really change the going rate. Elite receivers are getting $13-$18 million p/year.
