  1. They just did it again on that 3rd down drop.
  2. I think 4.5 is a great betting line. I find it tough to argue against KC, Cincy, and San Fran being ranked ahead of the Bills. There’s a real case for #4 for the Bills. I went with 5-8. The Texans, unfortunately, may be a consistent competitor, especially while Stroud is on his rookie deal. There are a number of teams that appear to be on equal footing with the Bills. As a homer, I give the Bills the edge over such teams. So I’ve got them as #5.
  3. I am actually pretty much OK with wherever they want to have the Super Bowl. Would attending a Super Bowl even be fun? It is insanely expensive and comprised of a very corporate crowd that either doesn’t follow the sport or are mildly interested at best. I know a few folks that have gotten to go to various recent super bowls and they all say it’s the most boring football game they have attended. The passion is torn away from that particular game. So, in my mind, have it wherever. I will happily watch with invested fans at a house party or a bar.
  4. The talent in the NBA right now is fantastic. The officiating is unbearable. It has killed my fandom.
  5. Keon is a great interview. Can’t wait to see him in action.
  6. And if Dion Dawkins places his foot a smidge to the left, Allen to Shakir is the go ahead score with less than 2 minutes to play.
  7. Guy does a bit of everything!
  8. Tory Taylor was easily Iowa’s best offensive player the past two seasons. He was the Brian Moorman of the Hawkeyes’ offensive drought.
  9. I wonder if some of these 5th rounders can be traded away for picks next year?
  10. The trade with KC was a good one. The Bills should have taken Legette at 32. The trade with Carolina is the one I don’t like.
  11. One need only look at a former Hawkeye and great Buffalo Bill to see how this can work: Micah Hyde. Hyde was a zone corner before successfully moving over to Safety. DeJean has better tools than Hyde had and therefore warrants a higher selection. No idea where you are getting “tight hips” or “burned by lower level players”. As someone who has watched every game Coop has played, this is demonstrably false. Dejean is also a fantastic punt returner. Tough, smart, and super athletic. He has a real chance to be every bit as good as Hyde.
  12. Wait. Are we counting passes to the other team or no?
  13. Coming away with both Thomas Jr and Baker would be a fantastic result for the Bills.
  14. A trade down is so enticing here, but I voted Legette because I didn’t want to get too cute and miss out on him.
  15. TBD is split! I voted no because I don’t want to give up next year’s 1st. Given the turnover this off-season, there is a reasonable chance that next year’s 1st could be the highest pick the Bills have had among the past few seasons. I think that future pick is more valuable than most are currently projecting. I think the Minnesota 2nd rounder is a very interesting piece. Most will likely project it to be at the top of the 2nd round and so it will have a reasonable trade value. The Minnesota 2nd rounder probably is not enough to get into the top 8 without the Bills’ future 1st… but perhaps it is enough to jump up to grab a Brian Thomas Jr? That I could see. I’d vote “yes” to a trade up, just not as high as proposed.
  16. The Cover1 film room has shown that Brady’s offense almost always spreads targets evenly. That would seem to align with your thinking - and perhaps a hint that we should not expect a blockbuster trade up. I would still bet on a trade up, but not as high as folks might be thinking.
  17. Of course YOU are a fan of it NOW, Captain Hindsight!
  18. The WR room is going to be completely different. Wow.
  19. You are flirting with missing out on the early bird specials.
  20. This explanation, coming from the field goal kick revolutionary, is wonderful. I very much agree. However, one might ask what the heck kind of lane you have picked!
  21. Why stop at 5? I say make it 3 yards!
