I “liked” this. I think the Bills coaches do a great job. However, the coaches were clearly the reason for the L tonight. What I keep asking is, “can these coaches grow from this?” I don’t know. I have hope.

This WAS a super bowl year. Everything came up Buffalo and the coaching staff blew it.

The coaches really did let their players down. That last 13 seconds of regulation was fatally bad by this staff. The error is shockingly clear. That’s what makes this so dang hard to comprehend.

what should have happened: 1 - squib kick 2 - double hill and kelce 3 - win What actually happened: 1 - Gift Mahomes an extra 5 or so seconds 2 - play 0 or 1 coverage on hill and kelce 3 - lose The decision making by the coaches in that 13 second span was really, really bad. The players did everything needed to win.

Not going for it on 4th and 3 in plus territory when down by 14 in the 3rd quarter says it all. McDermott is chicken ****. That’s not winning football.

And Josh looks Knox’s way a disproportionate amount of the time when Josh is under duress. It’s a costly habit.

At least the weather should be nicer…? *shrugs*

McBean have always said they believe in building the team starting with the lines. Tonight HAS to be seen as an absolute failure of their ability to implement that philosophy.

Knox was TERRIBLE tonight. Wish Josh Allen would choose to throw those desperation tosses Diggs way more often.

The Bills just aren’t good enough. That hurts.

Bills lose to Steelers. Now they try against the Fish. Two losses would hurt.

Way too many penalties today. Blocked punt was terrible. Kicking a FG while in the red zone with ~6 minutes left was a bad, bad decision. Deserved the L. PIT had some very good plays all around. Sucks to lose this - will be a tough tie breaker to overcome.

I remember this video. It was a fascinating rewatch. I especially got a kick out of how McD introduced himself to the welcoming party at 1BD. I remember thinking that it was an awkward exchange the first time I saw this video. Now it just looks like someone that was very prepared to take a leadership role. In fact, he seemed more prepared than many of the other “leaders” in the building. It was a video meant to place a good light on McD. That and his success certainly create bias. But I still feel like the fact that he had to introduce himself and the fact that it seemed so natural for him is both a damning insight into the Bills’ past and a pleasant thought for their future.

Are they 6th rounders this year or next year?

Do the Bills value a heavy 1 tech anymore? It’s almost as though they plan to have a DL entirely composed of guys that can play any spot.

When do the Bills take a punter?

McD has talked about wishing Carolina kept more leaders in each position group back in Carolina. They want to get the youth into the building while Jerry and Mario are still around.

There was actually a neat study published based on this incident. The conclusion was that they performed a type of extreme squat exercise too soon off of a long break (it was actually the first day back after about a month off!). It was an exercise that the team had been doing for a long time, but they usually trained for a longer period before attempting the exercise. I remember one instance when no one was around him. Fine. He dropped the pass in the big game. Yes, that was bad. 0/1 for 0% on “juicy” screens. (BTW, “juicy” is just as ambiguous as “sucks”) Singletary is not so worthless as to be cut.
