agreed. the season is a marathon. i'm just enjoying every win as they come in. so far september has been great.

this thread got weird.

that's the area. there's just nothing to do down there. they are trying to turn over those buildings, but i still can't find a reason i'd hang in that area.

it depends where you were . i break the city into 3 parts. there's the dangerous parts that you always hear about on the news. 95% of the crime is from these areas, and you'd never have a reason to go there. the second part is likely where you were...the immediate downtown skyline. it's where the hyatt is, but i personally never go down there unless there's a sporting even or show. there's not much to do in those areas that you'd walk to. there's was a morton's steakhouse below the hyatt, and it shut down due to lack of traffic. the third area , (the university ave area for the locals) has the better bars and restaurants...and hotels. there's a lot to do and a lot to walk to. there's just no reason to go downtown here so people don't. there's so much to do in the suburbs here that unless it's a specific restaurant, i tend to stay local. we have a suburb here called fairport that has become the new going out hot spot. numerous bar and restaurants in proximity to each other. very clean, safe...i've heard the younger kids go there now instead of downtown. they're trying to change it, but i'll be shocked if it happens.

my cat just turned 19, so this thing might be around for a while. i noticed our cat getting really noisy a bit ago, but it has slowed down with age. it seems like his hearing has been really compromised, so i always wondered if he was making more noise because he was going deaf and trying to figure it out.

he ended up having his license taken away.

he was definitely sizing me up, but i couldn't get a feel about his opinion.

there certainly could be worse people that have seen it.

no as good as some of these, but years ago i was checking a patient for a routine visit who i had never met. he was asking me casual but specific questions about my age, if i was from the area, school, etc. then he started asking about my parents, specifically my mom. long story short, he was the obgyn that delivered me. i have no idea how he even put two and two together, but i was fun meeting the guy that helped bring me into this world.
