if that's the guess than it must be an attitude problem. he never struck me as a guy who verbally gives problems, but maybe he was so lazy it just rubbed that staff the wrong way. it's too bad. he could have been a force.
-
i think this is the problem with the majority of the guys the bills let go. they help on sundays, but they never put the bills over the top, (along with many other factors). at the end of the day, would guy like watkins or gilmore put this team over the top? i just don't think so unfortunately. i think dareus is in that mix. his presence is certainly missed, but i also don't think it's the sole reason for a defensive collapse.
-
so...the bills are going to take a cap hit no matter what? there's no financial benefit to trading vs cutting dareus? (i'm asking because i honestly have no idea). if there's no savings to be had, i would have kept him until the end of the year too. that being said, how does keeping him increase he trade value as scott mentioned? i loved the player dareus, and it's even the last jersey i bought, but unfortunately he ran his course here. i think he can still be great, but he was a wild disappointment how it worked out after he was given a contract.

it was never about this season. we all knew that, and i'm sure not for a single second did you expect any early success. i have no idea why you think dareus's stock would be higher in the offseason. it was well know that the bills were trying to move him, or specifically his salary. if they couldn't trade him, he would likely have been cut, where any team could have signed him. it's not like he was doing much this year to wow another team, so why do you think that would be the case?

Bills, Broncos, Dolphins all have something in common..

and, and...they all have animals as their mascots. -

a super stiff drink. not a fancy drink, but a ghetto hardcore drink after a bad day. like...when you come home and mix 2/3 low shelf vodka with 1/3 diet orange crush in a pint glass, drink it and think, "yeah. that's the lowbrow kind of **** i'm looking for". my mom is retired tier one, and she loves to tell anyone that's willing to listen.

oh snap!

scott, it's not about the 6th...it's about dropping a huge salary that someone wasn't earning, or even seeming to care about it. the guy is on a cusp of a long suspension. i loved dareus as a player, but he was definitely not living up to his ability.

oh stop it. no one took it there other than yourself. be an adult, and at least admit your faults. badol, it's not that your posts aren't well written, but rather you decided to take such random, pointless stances at the weirdest time. you want so hard to be right on a message board, that you've actually lied and made up false narratives. don't be annoyed with anyone but yourself. this isn't on other posters, and to say so it just bush league. -
i agree row. as long as you're still, "in it", you have to keep fighting. do i think the bills will make the playoffs after these last two games? no, but you still have to play like there's a chance.

things seem to always go well for badol. -
this is where i'm at with the dareus trade. it wasn't ideal, but it was an opportunity to get something for him and unload the contract. i thought maybe a 4th would be better compensation, but apparently that wasn't in the cards.
-
i'm just assuming this because if an owner is going to let a staff dismantle a team like that, they're likely going to give them time to get it back in order, (or try to). i'm willing to bet they even get 4 unless it becomes a total disaster. i just can't imagine this team will be top end next year, and there's likely to be a new qb, and this team will be very young. i remember reading last year that some posters thought the browns were in a much better position than the bills going forward. they were starting fresh with a number of picks. now the bills are in this situation, and people are treating it like the end of the world. the 2018 bills will look wildly different than the 2017 bills.

i think this staff absolutely gets 3 years.

For those calling for FO and coaching change

Tier, i think you're just looking too hard for a boogeyman. what's happening is what most people expected to happen this year. the team is being purged of guys they don't want, and they're creating space to bring guys in in fa, as well as completely re-establish the team for the draft. this offseason is what's going to define this staff. sure guys like dareus were moved, and was money a factor? of course. but it's not just a matter of letting guys go to be cheap. it's a value game, and some guys just can't be over paid while not living up to job expectations. the only guy that's really proven his worth after leaving was woods. -

it's what makes message boards fun. i have no idea why someone would attack goodwin and defend watkins. watkins literally stated that he was more concerned about his stats than winning. -

i'm not a fan of goodwin as he really did nothing for the bills, but the guy lost a kid and had an emotional day. badol just likes to hear his own voice. we all know people like that. i've seen a number of times in his posting where he's made comments that just weren't true to back up a point that didn't need to be made. for example, when cyrus kouandjio was released, he and scott couldn't wait to complain. obviously there was something up with the guy, and he was released by the lions shortly after. when discussing how ck wasn't a loss, he came up with a story about how talked about cyrus's off season was ,and he how he was being touted as one of the hardest working guys in the offseason. i had never once heard that, and when called out on it, he just made a comment like i wasn't paying enough attention, and that it was on me for missing it. i mean...why bother? -

Every Nate Peterman throw from the Saints game
teef replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not terrible. he looked the part, but as you mentioned, it's tough to really evaluate a qb in that scenario. -
between the draft picks and some money to work in FA, this team should be going through a rebirth...hopefully.

i just don't know how anyone can argue that tt is a better qb than goff.
