  1. that would be up in smoke. "can't you see she's sick!"
  2. i always thought this too, but apparently it's not as true as we think. i had a good friend get done with a federal prison stay, and at least in those systems, he said pretty much was left alone. even the kid touchers had groups they hung out with, and as long as they weren't a bother, lived "normal" existences.
  3. Very true. I suppose you're just as good as your last play in many regards.
  4. a bust in terms of what was given up for him, yes...but not a bad player. i've also heard he's not elite, which i dont' think he is either, but not once have i heard someone call him bad.
  5. it's the last game of the year, so i always watch. there's much less interested than in the past because we're all at a point where it's hard to have the big superbowl parties, but i like the fanfare around the game.
  6. i'm not bashing gilmore here for the record. he's a solid cb, i just dont' see how that play made him a hero. was the timing right though...of course.
  7. pulled me in closely, and told me he loved me. i wasn't against it, but it just wasn't the right time in my life.
  8. i literally just mentioned this in another thread, but i wasn't impressed by the batted ball at all. it looked under thrown and rather routine. i'm not even hating on gilmore here, but come on now.
  9. some people think the knock down at the end was gilmore saving the game? he batted down an under thrown ball. it was hardly spectacular. edit: asking this in general, not due to the op...i've seen a few posters say this, so i'm guessing someone believes it.
  10. no. i don't think there's a true conspiracy here. as others have mentioned, things just tend to go the pats way. mostly because of talent, some due to the benefit of the doubt.
  11. i think that's the problem with having been terrible for so long. this team lacks any real strong internal structure, and i think they moved on from certain players to help establish a new philosophy from ground up. it was a solid knock down, but it was way under thrown by bortles. i don't think gilmore had a bad game, but my understanding is that his season was pretty average. marrone is just marrone.
  12. no it wasn't. i can honestly say i've never heard anyone call guys like watkins or dareus bad players. if anything, it was more their attitudes that got them shipped out. let's not also forget that just because someone is on a team doing well, it's not necessarily because of them. i think the pats would still be in the superbowl if guys like hogan, gilmore, and gillislee weren't on the team. not saying they are bad players, but threads like this can be so over blown.
  13. maybe everyone should just wear one of those kelso helmets.
  14. eh...i've stopped caring about both of these people.
  15. have you had a chance to speak to leroi lately?
  16. i know a couple of people who swear drinking the pickle juice cures a hangover. i don't know if it's true, but i want no part of it, (and i love pickles).
  17. really? weinstein vowed to ruin careers if they didn't sleep with him. you think that's anywhere in the ballpark of what howard stern does, (and does extremely rarely)?
  18. busy, important men like me don't have time for capital letters.
  19. do you have to ruin everything?
  20. too late. i already have the picture in my head. shirts are off in my fantas...i mean gross thought.
  21. i still love the show. listened this morning, and it's still far better than any other morning talk shows. it's either howard or nfl radio in the am.
