Not that I’m aware of. I know HPV is know to be a risk factor for oral cancers as well, (maybe more esophageal), but I’m not sure if there’s a link with Jim’s. We’ve seen a lot of oral cancer diagnosis in people who have never used tobacco products. Especially younger women.

oh man. it's just such a difficult form of cancer. years ago when i work at a hospital, i was part of a team what would manage these cases. they would see me before treatment, and shortly after for re-evaluation. it was pretty difficult to see the patients post treatment. the radiation would burn the skin and devastate the mouth. their jaw bone becomes so weak from the lack of blood supply caused by the radiation, that we would hear stories of large sections of bone fracturing off with simple tooth extractions. people have to go into hyperbaric chambers before any surgeries can be done post radiation. limited saliva so it's hard to chew. rampant decay because of the lack of saliva, and the act of swallowing feels like pins and needles. the process is just awful for the patient.

oral cancer, (i think it was an oral sarcoma?) is amazingly difficult to beat. i'm always impressed when someone receives a clean diagnosis after any treatment, but with a recurrence like this, his life expectancy is significantly shorter. good luck jimbo. if there's anyone tough enough to deal with it, it's him.

your concern is certainly legit, but this staff doesn't strike me that way. i feel like there's a specific formula in place, and they're sticking to it.

i think we all knew this, especially with the heavy change of the roster this past season. this off season is really the first step into building the roster that this new staff wants. it's going to take another year or two, but at least it looks like there is a specific plan in place. i could happen, and if it does, i would think it does in the name of making this roster younger.

i'm already starting to see a lot of creative differences here. i'm off the project.

i have a quick mitchell story. apparently the dude was a little odd. some of the sabres guys were hanging out in their condo, and for whatever reason, mitchell was there. some of the guy's girlfriends were there, hanging out in another room. at one point, kawika got up, went into the room, and locked the door behind him. he was playing around, but it got uncomfortable when some of the girls wanted to leave, and he wouldn't unlock the door. it got to the point where the guys couldn't get him out, and they started to think they had to break the door down and deal with him. he eventually unlocked the door, was kicked out, and nothing bad happened. it's a nothing story that i was told second hand, but it's all i got.

ours is up high actually. we have a tall fireplace mantle, so the tv is quite high from the ground. it threw me off at first, but it's a long room, so the couch is set back. i don't even think about it at this point, but expect it to feel off at first. we also have a gas fireplace, and it's never been an issue.

oh i'm with you. the last one i had was about a year ago. when we were younger, it was a regular after a night of drinking. now at 40, i just can't do that ****.
