    exactly...allen, the o-line, the fans, all need to relax. the cincy game was just such an off showing that i think it threw everyone. we just need to for the season to start, and see how people really play in live action.

    i agree. as each play went on, allen looked a bit more panicked. he didn't play terribly, but i just don't think he's quite there yet. once things slow down just a bit, he'll be ok. for now, let nate hold down the fort. i'm not looking forward for peterman to start, but i think it's the right move that this second.

    If Allen and Edmunds both look like they’re going to develop into the guys we need them to be, I’ll be satisfied. I just don’t know what to think after the Cincy game. It had that Rex Ryan type disorganization to it.

    I wasn’t expecting much at all this year, so for me it’sall about development. Especially at the qb position. That being said, I don’t expect to see a train wreck of a season either. Gradual progress would make me happy.

    this is what my dad has going on now. he was low grade all last week, and he finally spent yesterday in bed with a sore throat. he was just wiped out. i had the flu this past year, so i feel for anyone going through this.

    meh. i've been doing this since i was 15 and have done far better than most. you just have to know yourself and what your personal limits. it's different for everyone. at this age i've slowed things down a ton, mostly because i'm concerned about my health as you mentioned. everyone here is getting sick too. weird, sudden fevers, sore throats, fatigue. it's gross.

    I think it’s just like anything else...there’s a time and a place. I’ve gone through periods where I’ve drank and smoked more than I should, and I always end up feeling like trash.

    a lot don't use it as a crutch or pain management. some just want it for recreational use. i don't drink because i'm stressed or in pain...i just do it because it's fun. the same reason i would smoke.

    i think the bolded captures it perfectly. once they start allen, they completely need to commit to him. i'm not sure if the first 4-6 weeks are that time. if they decide to play him and let him learn on the fly, so be it. i just has a dangerous feel to it.

    i was on the i'd like him to sit train. he showed a lot of promise and i thought..well, just play the best guy. Yesterday put me back in the sit and learn category. this team needs to come together a bit before a rookie qb gets put out there. edit: this is not just about allen's showing. the entire team looked awful.

    Only if you admit the eagles are terrible. There are lots of holes in this world that I’ve been told to leave alone. Sometimes I listen, sometimes I don’t.
