Career advice book for somebody about to graduate college?
teef replied to bbb's topic in Off the Wall Archives
i don't think it really matters what you do, and long as you work your ass off. with all of the crappy jobs i've had in the past, i just worked as hard at it as i possibly could, and it always opened doors. no book required. sometimes you just have to start working and being productive. i'm no so sure how easy the travel the world option is for most now. school loans come calling pretty quick, and you can only stave those off for so long. enough finding yourselves...just work. -
Anyone ever go through a divorce with a child?

that's what i figured. as long as the bank will give the new mortgage, both people win. i'm just not sure how you would determine the market value of the house. in some of the suburbs here, houses are going for a lot more than their worth, really because there's nothing on the market. i suppose they go by the taxable value of the house. -

why don't you just buy out her half now? she can have the money and you can stay in the house? i'm not sure exactly how that would work with market value etc, but i know it can happen. -

this. this thread is why i come to buffalo bills message boards. thank op you sweet prince. come on bro. people need to back of the accusing posters who know a bad thread as someone who "blindly worships" this staff. some of us have know the work of the op for years, and it's always sub par. his threads are typically pretty pointless, not accurate, and are rather embarrassing coming from an adult. he goes out of his way to prop up watkins this week, but was no where to be found the prior week when sammy gave another sub par performance. this thread isn't for discussion from the op. he wants to make a sad sack party. i know you can see through it. people are just too busy being angry right now. we all knew this year would be a stinker, yet some are still acting like their birthdays have been stolen from them. -

like a lot of people, my wife loves those 48 hrs, 20/20 murder mysteries. it's almost always the spouse. on a number of occasions, she stated, "if anything goes wrong in the marriage, just divorce me," half kidding, half not. -

you guys know i wasn't being serious...right? i actually do those things. I married into a family of women who enjoy "gestures", so i knew what i was getting into. flowers at work, nice gifts for the anniversary, date night, etc. i don't mind doing it because i know she really appreciates, but murder is never really off the table is all i'm saying. -
the pot is nothing. apparently he's been doing a bunch of acid.

i bet. especially if there's legal matters dragging out. it can be difficult enough to carve out time and energy for a new relationship, and with all of the other nonsense going on, it has to make it a chore. -

yeah...you don't want to get into all that right now. i've been through one awful break up in my life, and i certainly would never equate it to a divorce involving a child, but when i tried to date quickly after is was awful and completely not worth it. i think you're right to let the dust settle first. -

after reading through this relatively short thread, i've come to the conclusion that if anything happens to my marriage, i'm going to have to murder my wife. -

the bills would destroy bama. that's not a knock on alabama in any way either. they're an outstanding college program, but they're still kids who need to develop both physically and mentally. -

i don't know if this is a good environment to develop a qb. i'm more of the philosophy that a good qb will develop over time no matter what, (you obviously have to give him some tools to work with over time). i'm not saying having a number of draft picks is a massive advantage, but it's how the rebuild is going to happen. now, if you don't have any confidence that the right talent will be brought in, that i completely get. i just haven't personally made that determination yet, and probably won't until next fall. the team declining from last year doesn't alarm me at all. they're certainly worse than i thought, but taking a step back was going to be part of this thing. it just can't be a continued part of it next year. we're really just forced to sit and wait.
