  1. i hear ya. i have a water front house in the thousand islands coming this way at some point. even has a boat house. i'll lose some arguments for that.
  2. this. this thread is why i come to buffalo bills message boards. thank op you sweet prince. come on bro. people need to back of the accusing posters who know a bad thread as someone who "blindly worships" this staff. some of us have know the work of the op for years, and it's always sub par. his threads are typically pretty pointless, not accurate, and are rather embarrassing coming from an adult. he goes out of his way to prop up watkins this week, but was no where to be found the prior week when sammy gave another sub par performance. this thread isn't for discussion from the op. he wants to make a sad sack party. i know you can see through it. people are just too busy being angry right now. we all knew this year would be a stinker, yet some are still acting like their birthdays have been stolen from them.
  3. like a lot of people, my wife loves those 48 hrs, 20/20 murder mysteries. it's almost always the spouse. on a number of occasions, she stated, "if anything goes wrong in the marriage, just divorce me," half kidding, half not.
  4. you guys know i wasn't being serious...right? i actually do those things. I married into a family of women who enjoy "gestures", so i knew what i was getting into. flowers at work, nice gifts for the anniversary, date night, etc. i don't mind doing it because i know she really appreciates, but murder is never really off the table is all i'm saying.
  5. am i the only one who doesn't have that much trouble finding things to in wny? to be fair though, i'm not a club guy.
  6. the pot is nothing. apparently he's been doing a bunch of acid.
  7. i bet. especially if there's legal matters dragging out. it can be difficult enough to carve out time and energy for a new relationship, and with all of the other nonsense going on, it has to make it a chore.
  8. yeah...you don't want to get into all that right now. i've been through one awful break up in my life, and i certainly would never equate it to a divorce involving a child, but when i tried to date quickly after is was awful and completely not worth it. i think you're right to let the dust settle first.
  9. i think he's talking about taking his meat log to pound town. ya know...giving her the noise.
  10. after reading through this relatively short thread, i've come to the conclusion that if anything happens to my marriage, i'm going to have to murder my wife.
  11. royal i'd listen. sometimes it's best to hear the worst case scenarios.
  12. great...now i'm being kicked out.
  13. dude...i'm sorry to hear this.
  14. the bills would destroy bama. that's not a knock on alabama in any way either. they're an outstanding college program, but they're still kids who need to develop both physically and mentally.
  15. every so often this comes up, and a small piece of me dies inside.
  16. oh my god...i'm going home.
  17. did you guys know that giving someone a wet willy is technically rape?
  18. i've had the weirdest day at work. the bill's new has been amazingly weird. i have a dinner tonight...i wonder if i should even go.
  19. i don't know if this is a good environment to develop a qb. i'm more of the philosophy that a good qb will develop over time no matter what, (you obviously have to give him some tools to work with over time). i'm not saying having a number of draft picks is a massive advantage, but it's how the rebuild is going to happen. now, if you don't have any confidence that the right talent will be brought in, that i completely get. i just haven't personally made that determination yet, and probably won't until next fall. the team declining from last year doesn't alarm me at all. they're certainly worse than i thought, but taking a step back was going to be part of this thing. it just can't be a continued part of it next year. we're really just forced to sit and wait.
  20. nah. the staff gets at least next year, and possibly the next one after that.
  21. this makes sense, and agreed that it's possibly a far bigger concern. i'm not bent out of shape yet. i think some of the signings were just patches, and others were made for the future that sure don't look like they're worth their investment at this point. what happens this off season will be the defining mark for me. they have picks and cap to work with. i don't think there's enough there to create a world beater just yet, but i'd expect significant improvement in style of play and win total. if next year looks anything like this year, we're completely screwed as fans.
  22. i think it's far more on those guys than it was on the culture. i'd even put it more on the staff for not possibly doing enough "research" on who they're signing. as count said, i'm sure if the bills were playoff bound davis would have stayed, but it's not like he took a good look at this team when he signed and saw the playoffs. most didn't, yet he still signed. the way he retired proves who he is as a person. if he really did hate the staff, why not retire after the game and move on? boldin is more or less in the same boat. an older vet who didn't want to put up with it, and it i mean losing. didn't he only want to play with the pats? a guy that age wants a ring, and the bills weren't getting it for him. i guess the better question is, what do people think is going on behind the scenes that's making players retire.
  23. I get what you’re saying, but really my only point was that a guy retiring, especially Davis, doesn’t have anything to do with the “culture”. He may feel he’s too beat up to exist like this for a year, but I certainly wouldn’t chalk it up to the coaches at this point. Davis has a Davis problem.
