  1. it was may understanding that once it went into your legs, you needs to start getting full sets of imagining to really determine what's going on. i go to my chiro monthly, but my back problems are due to posture at work. i can get adjusted, exercise, and stretch to get me to a great place, but he always asks me if my pain radiates into my legs. if it starts, it's scan time.
  2. were they right in what they were doing or not?
  3. Ok. What do you think it was, why did it happen, and was it justified?
  4. this is why reasonable conversation is difficult here. blm rioters were terrible. now that's that out of the way, you think those rednecks were justified in attacking the capital?
  5. i send my kids to private, so the only thing i get out of my school taxes is the bussing, but i would hope that more resources put in means a better output. the eastern suburban schools here have a great system as you know. you do down state towards the westchester area, and the schools are considered the best in the state, but the tax rate is even higher than ours.
  6. i have no echo chamber brother. i have no side. instead i have a life. continued to be outraged by the nothings. i'll enjoy my evenings and weekends with my family and friends while you continue to post tweet after tweet so you and maybe 10 other people can scream winning or fafo!
  7. i'm not gonna lie...i for some reason kick out of the ebt tik toks where after getting their benefits, families record themselves buying pallets of total garbage. there's usually a little dance involved too. i'll miss it.
  8. i'll be thrilled to see when it happens. people need to get paid.
  9. i think in general the norther schools just tend to be better than the southern schools. we have better resources because we pay for it. i just got notice that they're going to reasses our property next year, and i'm waiting to get bent over.
  10. why doesn't maga just vote yes? i certainly don't know all the nuances involved, but it just become so easy for this administration to place blame. do you not put it past trump to drag this on? the guy threw a giant tantrum over a canadian commercial to the point where he cut off trade. that's insane.
  11. it's never just one side. on top of that, were close to the longest shut down in history? do you know whose presidency had the longest shut down so far? it's not all a simple coincidence. i'm down for discussion, but anytime this does anything wrong or it doesn't go their way, the other side is to blame, with no questioning at all. i don't buy into that.
  12. i was there in the mid-90s too actually.
  13. anyone who thinks the shut down is due to only one side is completely foolish.
  14. of course! my son will go to the same high school i went to as well depending how life works out. i'm all about treating school like a job.
  15. my intention wasn't to turn this into a thread on education, but some of this isn't correct. you can absolutely take AP classes in ny. i'm not sure what you mean by need to qualify, but they don't want kids who are failing earth science to take AP bio. otherwise any kid can take an AP course if they want. there's no more or less availability. and canisius offers less, "college level classes"...what? you do realize canisius is a college prep school? all jesuit high schools are. i went to the jesuit school in rochester, and we absolutely had AP classes. It's in no way an apples to apples comparison. those schools have far different expectations from their students. if you're a pain in the ass or don't do your work...you're gone. the work load alone is easily double to triple our local public schools. that being said, those schools aren't for everyone, but to say the offer less college level classes is insane and wrong.
  16. dude...your brain is mush from this nonsense. that movement scares you to no end for some reason. have at it champ. be scared about the trans epidemic, and i'll be concerned with life. so...i'm not a conspiracy guy, but was the kirk murder with a furry trans just that easy? you did think the kimmel issue was a stunt by the dems, so work with me here.
  17. my family in florida lives in palm beach. my wife is in the finger lakes region. i guarantee that the kids who go to canisius and st joes will be far better off than most. a good student will be a good student anywhere, but if you feel those kids are on the same level of florida public school kids are, i'm not sure what to tell you. i'm not here to ***** on florida...i love the place, but there's no way ocps are on the same level as a jesuit school. i'm not sure about st. joes, but i'm willing to assume the same thing. sure, but that might be even harder than finding good parents. i agree with your point completely though.
  18. there's a lot of kids that are screwed. they don't care, the parents don't care, and as a result the school doesn't care. they're all just trying to get the kids out of the building. i think we just have to be lucky enough to win the parent lottery and have people that are concerned about our well being and education.
  19. sure, but there are some states/areas that you'd perfectly fine sending your kids to the public schools. i completely understand that it's socioeconomic mostly, but florida does absolutely not have a decent public school system. in rochester we have an appalling city public school system, but great suburban schools...we also have to pay for it.
  20. i think a lot of the trans stuff is over blown. remember when we were all so concerned kids using litter boxes and bird cages? when that fell aside trans was the new thing. as i've mentioned, as long as men don't play in women's sports or agree to use a gender neutral bathroom, there's really nothing else to say. my wife works in the school system here in ny, and there's not nearly the problem that's being portrayed, or especially one that needs to be seen as a national issue. and bro...florida has the 2nd best school system in the us? you, everyone here and i know that's absolutely not true, no matter how you skew statistics. i have a ton of family in florida, and you absolutely don't put your kids in the public system if you can afford it.
  21. oh for the love of god. my entire point of this thread is that schools aren't this trans factory you're being led to believe. this trans "problem" is so small, yet every time any story, and i mean any story, people are up in arms. yes...right now the government reopening is far more important than anything trans. let's not act like you're protecting kids here. want to help kids? improve the florida school system. or how about they actually move things along with the epstein files. that would help children far more than fighting the trans epidemic.
  22. is that really what you got out if it? wow.
  23. for anyone that wants a good follow, caleb hammer who was the guy in the first clip is awesome. he tries to fix people's financial situations, and absolutely lays into them for poor financial decision and laziness. he's great. concerning the benefits issue, i have no idea on the solution, but it certainly keeps people from working. the year between college and grad school, i worked for a temp agency, not as a temp, but as someone who would staff the temps on projects. we would often notice that otherwise relatively good workers would just stop showing up at times. the reason? if they worked to many hours or made too much, their benefits would be limited or gone. it just wasn't worth them.
