  1. https://www.quanthockey.com/nhl/seasons/2020-21-nhl-players-stats.html a bunch of the guys on the top 50 list have played the same amount of games as Eichel. Some have played 3-5 more games. Some have even played less games than Eichel. Also, if you look at ‘points per game played’ and ‘points per 60 minutes’, he’s still not in the top 50. He has not been very good this season. Though he did play one of his better games last night.
  2. He must REALLY hate the Texans if he’s willing to be traded to the Jets. Ownership is just as bad as Houston, if not worse.
  3. Glad to hear the surgery went well. Now, prayers for a speedy recovery!
  4. That was quite possibly the worst game Eichel has ever played in a Sabres uniform. I think he actually hurt the Sabres when he was on the ice more than he helped them. I honestly didn’t even want to see him on the ice for the last shift of the game, down by a goal. That says it all. Eichel has looked off all year. Right now, he’s not even among the top 50 NHL players in goals or points. I don’t know if he’s injured or out of shape, or all the time off messed with him, or what his deal is. I agree about the turnovers and lazy plays. I’ve always bitched about his turnovers but you could live with him because his overall game was elite. But it’s a lot tougher to live with right now. Especially the lazy plays. It infuriates me when I see players dogging it, and he’s done that quite a bit this season. Cozens looked great though! He’s really brought a spark to that line the past couple games. Hall/Staal/Cozens looks like they’re developing some nice chemistry. Hall had a good game too. One of his better games for the Sabres. Well, Fudge. That blows.
  5. Prayers for a speedy recovery!
  6. Wow! What a goal by Reinhart!
  7. damn, that sucks. Hope we didn’t see him play his last game in Buffalo. Sabres do have a decent amount of depth on the left side though, so I’m not sure he will be re-signed.
  8. 😂
  9. Elliotte Friedman was on WGR yesterday and didn’t hesitate when “wpuls the Sabres ever consider trading Eichel?” He immediately said “yes”. https://theathletic.com/2397942/2021/02/18/jack-eichel-trade-rumors/ (athletic subscription required) here’s another link that doesn’t require a subscription. It also has the Friedman interview linked. The Eichel talk starts somewhere around 13 minutes. https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2021/02/speculation-swirling-around-buffalo-sabres.html Sad as it is to say, I don’t think I am quite as opposed to trading Eichel as I used to be. Mainly because I am getting to the point where I just don’t care what the Sabres do. I’d still hate to see Eichel go, but it’s kind of starting to feel like it’s inevitable. I guess the Sabres can’t have nice things. It terrifies me thinking about totally inexperienced rookie Kevyn Adams being the one to make the trade, though. It would be a trade that defined the franchise for the next decade (probably). What a complete and total failure the tank was.
  10. Yikes. more translated from the article (from a Finnish poster on another message board): - Says he has gone through every possible symptom. He has asked around the league and no one else has had it this bad. - His oxygen levels had dropped significantly and doing anything at all made him extremely tired -After a couple of days his symptoms got better only to come back in a different form, chest pains for an example. -When he had his chest pains, he felt like his heart is going to rip in two when walking up the stairs. Says couple of nights he felt like he wasn't sure if he's going to wake up. -"I got healthy papers from the doctors but physically I am in such a bad shape that i have a long road ahead of me until I'm fit to play." (Despite this he also says that he can maybe see himself coming back some time next week, but not certain) ———— Get well soon Risto!
  11. It would be nice if the Sabres played more like the team that showed up for the last 8 minutes of the 3rd period. That’s how they need to play all 60 minutes of every game. That’s the type of effort they need to give if they truly want to win and break this playoff drought. I mean, effort is FAR from the only problem, but it sure could help mask some of those other issues. But they don’t give that type of effort anywhere near enough. It’s why I roll my eyes now when I hear them talk about how much they want to win. If they actually wanted to win as much as they say they do, they’d be playing like their hair was on fire. But it’s all just lip-service IMO. They may like the idea of winning but apparently not the hard work and determination it takes to achieve.
  12. Yep. I used to be active in this thread all the time and was active on another hockey message board. Not so much anymore. I know the team has been through a lot in the last couple weeks and they were missing a bunch of players, but still... not to muster even a single shot on net in the 3rd period when you’re down by 2 goals? That is unacceptable, especially with all the talent they have on offense. I don’t want to hear any BS from the players about how bad they want to win/make the playoffs until they actually start showing it on the ice. And that includes Eichel (who really hasn’t been anything special so far this season). The time for talk is long over. I only care about their actions now. I can accept a loss when they fought their ass off. Let’s at least see some consistent fight from this team.
  13. I would definitely care if they moved the Sabres. As much as I hate what they’ve become, I am still a die hard sabres fan. I still attend more Sabres games than Bills games (well, not this season...). I would be devastated if they left. I’m almost positive that Tom Golisano put a clause in the sale contract that the team could not be moved, anyway. Screw that moving ****. If the Pegulas don’t think they can get it right then they should sell the damn team. The Sabres belong to Buffalo.
  14. “John McClain, who has covered the Texans for close to five decades, said Wednesday that if Houston trades Deshaun Watson this offseason, it'll be to only one team. "If they traded him, it would be [to] the Jets," McClain said in an interview with SportsRadio 610 in Houston.” 🤬
  15. You’re combining 2 separate quotes. The quote about bringing red wine was for the 2nd interview. The quote about Rex drinking red wine was from the day they traded for Shady. I think you know what everyone wanted proof of was Brandon and Rex getting the Pegula’s drunk before Rex was hired. Bringing a bottle of red wine as a gift for people who collect wine does not automatically equate to Rex getting the Pegulas plastered to expedite the hiring process. We all knew Rex brought wine. You made it sound like you knew for a fact they got drunk on that wine before Rex was hired. I am not saying that it didn’t happen, but I have never seen that detail reported.
  16. I’m shocked. SHOCKED I tell you! 😂
  17. 😡🤬 I don’t see how they can play on Thursday. We only have 2 of our defenseman not on the covid list - Miller & Joker. **** the NJ devils and **** the NHL. i just pray there are no long term heslth consequences for anyone. Speedy recoveries for all please! edit - at least the next 2 games postponed.
  18. Kansas City being humbled. And finally being called for all the damn holding on defense. Also New England looking a bit foolish for thinking they didn’t need Brady to win.
  19. That Wayne’s world commercial was probably my favorite so far. 😂 Honestly though, I had already forgotten the name of the milk until I read my post you quoted. I’ll just remember that there was some weird, awful commercial about fake milk during the super bowl.
  20. “And that’s going to get called...” unless you’re playing the Bills in the AFC championship game.
