Yeah you should be able to get the broadcasts in 4k. You have everything you need, except one of these: (unless you already own a 4K fire stick or roku express, express + or streaming stick 4k) https://www.amazon.com/Fire-TV-Stick-4K-with-Alexa-Voice-Remote/dp/B079QHML21 Or one of these if you prefer roku devices: (I prefer the fire stick) https://www.roku.com/products/roku-express-4k-plus Then you plug it into the HDMI port on the back of your TV and then turn your TV on and hit the “input” button on your remote. Then select whatever input you plugged the streaming device into. It’ll walk you through a simple setup (basically just log into your Amazon account or roku account (or create one if you don’t have one yet)). Then use the search feature on the front page of the streaming devices Home Screen. You search for “fox sports app”. Click on it. It’ll download. Then just open it up and it’ll ask you to sign into your cable account and that’s it. Just let me know if you want/need help. Feel free to PM me too if you want. Also, If you tell me the model of your 4k TV I can tell you if you need to plug it into a specific HDMI port (1,2,3, or 4). Some 4k TVs only have a couple HDMI ports that are full 4k (usually #3 and 4 but not always).

I ended up ordering the new fire stick 4k max (that conveniently just came out yesterday) so I’m going to check out the 4k NFL broadcast this Thursday. Ive been wanting to watch NFL football in 4k ever since I got my first 4k TV. It’ll be nice to finally get that chance! I thought others here might also be interested.

Yeah hopefully that’s the case. From what I’ve read they still don’t know the extent of the breach and people are speculating that since the data dump was labeled “part 1”, there’s likely a “part 2” to the data (that may be released or auctioned off on the dark web). I don’t have a twitch account but I still changed my Amazon password to be safe. I figured it was worth mentioning to the board. I probably should have worded my initial post better though. It just scared me when I read that stuff about the Amazon cloud, which is why I posted this thread. I had all my family change their Amazon passwords too 😂

I can’t find it now but I read an article saying that the extent of the breach wasn’t yet known and the hackers may have had full access to anything that relies on Amazon Web Services (their cloud platform) and it said if your data was stored anywhere on those servers that it could be compromised even if you’ve never used twitch. I guess I should have said Amazon data “may have been breached” (we know twitch was for sure). as far as the leaked data, I saw people talking about it on Reddit. There was a link to download all the data and some people saying it contained passwords. But I don’t know if that’s actually true or not.

I was a subscriber for 3 years and I tried to re-subscribe when my most recent subscription ran out. Then this happened... I just can’t bring myself to spend any more money with them. My issue was never resolved. I tried reaching out to them at multiple email addresses, on Twitter, and even through a couple of their writers and nobody ever got back to me. There is no way to talk to an actual live person at the athletic. They have a bot that respond to all their emails and I couldn’t get it to understand my problem no matter how many different ways I tried to explain it. Terrible customer service.

Yeah it’s scary how much of our personal data is online. I know 3 different people that had their identities stolen in the last couple years. My cousin and 2 close friends. They had their bank accounts drained and everything. My one friend’s identity/IP address was also remotely used for another hack (or something like that) and he had to let this company’s top IT security guy go through his whole laptop and had multiple phone conversations with him. They initially thought he was the person responsible for the hack. It was a nightmare. Thankfully he was totally cleared of any wrongdoing. I guess he thinks it happened because he thought he was on a popular shopping website (I think it was Walmart or Amazon) and logged in, but it was a spoofed website that stole all his info. I always check to make sure I’m on the legit website (https with proper website address) and I’m extremely careful on where I enter any type of login info and especially payment info.

Kind of cool that he seems to be rooting for Buffalo to win the matchup against Kansas City. At least that’s the impression I got when he said “hopefully Buffalo wins” (during the part where he talked about how if Buffalo didn’t win this game, he guaranteed they’d win against KC in the playoffs, and said something like “hopefully they win” this game) Shady might have a shot at being an NFL analyst on TV if he wants it. I could see some network offering him a job.

Brandon Staley has been winning my respect so far this season. I wasn’t initially impressed with the hire. I didn’t think Staley had enough experience to be a head coach. He only had 1 year of experience as a NFL coordinator and only 4 years total experience as an NFL coach. I wondered if they settled for Staley because they got tired of waiting for Daboll. I probably even joked about how anyone that ever got Sean McVay a cup of coffee could get a head coaching job right now. But so far he’s been impressing me. I can see what the Chargers saw in him.

Yeah it was fun. With the way they came back from that 2-0 shootout deficit it kind of made up for blowing a 3-1 lead in the 3rd and letting them tie the game with less than a minute left. They’ve shown some fight this preseason.

But why tank the value of your most valuable asset even more than the injury already has? The Sabres are just barely above the cap floor right now, and that’s WITH Eichel’s deal on the books. Cap space is the absolute least of their concerns. If they were a competitive team near the cap ceiling it would be different. But it will likely be years before cap space is an issue. It’s kind of an unrealistic idea anyway. Basically no team in the NHL can afford to take on both Eichel and Skinner’s cap hits. They’d probably have to send at least $10+ million in cap back in the trade. So you’d be talking about most likely taking back bad contracts from other teams (players as useless as skinner, or even more useless). Why further tank the value of our most valuable asset and take other team’s bad contracts to get rid of a bad contract that’s not even creating issues for the Sabres? I’d much rather get max value for Eichel, even if that means taking back a bad contract in the trade.

Amazon account info + passwords may be leaked (some of the breached data is already available for download). They’re saying this might be the biggest data breach in history. I’d Change your Amazon account password ASAP. Better safe than sorry. I’d also recommend turning on 2 factor identification. You also have to change any other account password you use that same Amazon password on (and when changing the passwords, try to use a unique password for every account if you don’t already). It’s also worth going to this website: https://haveibeenpwned.com You can see if you’ve had any data breaches associated with your email/phone number. I check it every few months or so, just to be safe. edit - even if you’re phone number/email don’t show up in that link you should still change your Amazon password.
