  1. If he was making say, $3M instead of $6M I think he’d be a fan favorite. I hope he can stay healthy this season as well.
  2. Maybe Don Granato really is the right guy to get this turned around. I sure hope he is.
  3. Don’t feed the trolls. Accounts like that one are what the ignore option was made for! 😂
  4. The amount of detail in that 4k NFL broadcast last night was pretty incredible. Man, I wish they broadcast all games in 4k...
  5. They looked really good last night. If they keep playing like that they’ll start winning back the fan base.
  6. this is kind of cool. btw, the Sabres actually look pretty good tonight from the little bit I’ve watched.
  7. First sabres game is tomorrow night and I’m not really even excited. Chances are that I’ll watch Thursday night football. I’m sure I’ll at least check in on the Sabres game though. Maybe watch it until the football game comes on. Its just so hard to get interested in this team when I look at the roster they are icing. But maybe (hopefully) they’ll be better than I think. I hate what this team has done to my love of hockey. I used to follow the Sabres so closely. I’d watch every preseason + regular season game, every coach + player interview, follow all of our prospects in other leagues, go to a bunch of games every year, etc. Now I hardly pay attention to the Sabres at all. I think I watched a period and a half of preseason and that was only because I was flipping through the channels and saw it on. I don’t even have their schedule up on my fridge this year.
  8. I use an app called “image size” for mobile. You just select the image you want to resize then pinch it down to the size you want it and post it here. Sometimes takes me a few tries to get the size right though. As others have said, image size is super restrictive here.
  9. Yay!! Great news for our Canadian friends!
  10. Found this interesting. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/10/11/bills-chiefs-afc-nfl-week-5-fmia-peter-king/ Cory Bojorquez was holding the ball on those kicks. I seem to remember that being an issue at times in Buffalo, or am I remembering wrong?
  11. Football morning in American column is always a good read. Figured Peter King would be discussing the Bills this week and he did. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/10/11/bills-chiefs-afc-nfl-week-5-fmia-peter-king/ found this tidbit interesting: also loved this McDermott quote: 😁
  12. I don’t know if it was sleepy. I think it has to do with the circumstances. I think they were maybe somewhat timid/nervous. I remember seeing Sean McDermott and a number of other coaches + players in double masks on the sideline, so I think that covid outbreak was probably on their mind (and rightfully so). The Titans also came out super fired up. They talked about how they had an “us against the world” mentality and had a chip on their shoulder from all the bad press. I remember because it really pissed me off that They were trying to play the victim card after they blatantly violated a bunch of covid protocols and it caused an outbreak. The Bills were the ones who got screwed IMO. I hope the Bills come out with a huge chip on their shoulders for this game. I’m pretty confident they will.
  13. I obviously want the Bills to win every game, but I REALLY want them to win this one. I think I want the Bills to win this game even more than I wanted them to beat the Chiefs. That game last year and all the circumstances surrounding it (especially the way the Titans players acted) just left such a bad taste in my mouth. I want the Bills to whoop their ass so bad.
  14. I forgot all about Doug Pederson. He would actually make a lot of sense for the Raiders, especially if he knows Mayock. High character guy. Offensive mind. Won a super bowl. They don’t even need to wait to hire him.
  15. I think it’s important to note that these weren’t just 10 year old emails. They stretch from 2011 to 2018. Some of the emails in question were from 2016 and 2018.
  16. After a talk with the owner. I guess I just assumed he “resigned” (as in, the owner forced it). I can’t imagine Gruden willingly left $60 million on the table. I heard the owner was under immense pressure from the NFL to fire him. They wanted it done before Sunday’s game.
  17. I strongly disagree with the things Gruden said in those emails. I think it’s disgusting and I am not sticking up for him in any way. But I’m not sure I really agree with this, since it happened while he was working for another company (ESPN). Had it happened after he was hired by the raiders, I get it. I don’t really feel bad for him, and I don’t think this is “cancel culture” (I think most of “cancel culture” is just consequences for your actions anyway) since it was his employer that fired him without any real motivation from social media outcry (that I know of). I think it was more that the NFL has made such a strong stance against racism/homophobia/etc. and felt they had to act on this or their words would look hollow and I definitely don’t think they want any protests starting up again. But I guess I just wonder if there was another way this could have been handled. Like, send him for 100 hours of sensitivity training and fine him and/or take away a draft pick or something like that.
  18. Houston should have hired him instead of David Culley. But I’m sure glad they didn’t! (I’m also glad for Frazier. I think Culley’s being set up to fail) I can’t believe he hasn’t had more head coaching interviews. Iirc he’s had a top 10 defense every year in Buffalo but one (2020, under very unusual circumstances (esp. no fans in the stands)). Selfishly I hope we get to keep him but I know he really wants another shot at being a head coach and I think he deserves it + would do a very good job.
  19. Yeah I don’t think he was being punished last night. As you and others have said, I think it was just a game plan thing.
  20. He finally took his own advise! I have to imagine him insulting the entire Bills fan base didn’t go over too well with the coaches/front office/owners. I know if I insulted my work’s customers I’d probably be fired on the spot. Most people would. I am not implying that I want him to be cut, or that I think he should be cut. I like Beasley and think he’s an important part of this offense but he needs to stay off social media with his anti-vax misinformation. We all know he refused to get vaccinated. We all know why he feels that way. But he just can’t let it go. Remember his first press conference training camp when he said he’d make 1 final statement on the vaccines (then refused any questions on it) and that would be the last he said about it this season? Well, it’s about damn time.
  21. Big win tonight! That’s the type of win that can make a team believe they’re true contenders. Shoot, I know that’s how it made me feel! 😁 I give a ton of credit to the Bills front office + coaching staff. They identified what this team needed to truly challenge Kansas City, then went out and accomplished their goals, even with very limited cap space and the 30th pick in every round. Feels so good to have such a competent front office and coaching staff.
  22. He was brutal tonight. He couldn’t have been more obvious in who he was rooting for. Like When the Bills got called for that ridiculous hold in the 4th quarter and Al Michaels was shocked and said “wow, I guess they’re calling everything tonight” and Collinsworth was like “wellll.... he did grab his jersey...” then minutes later couldn’t believe KC got called for roughing the passer when the KC player clearly drove Allen into the ground with his shoulder (then Allen got hit in the head by another KC player!)... I was muting him at times tonight.
  23. I thought it was the end of the 4th quarter. That delay had me all messed up. im an idiot.
  24. Rousseau!!!!! F*** off officials! Cant take that one away 😂
  25. Come in Buffalo, let’s finish this thing!
