  1. Yeah for sure. We already struggle against Tennessee with Tannehill. There’s already enough top QBs in the damn AFC. It would not be fun having to go through Mahomes + Rodgers in the playoffs. (+ Burrow, Herbert, etc). The only issue would be cap space. Not sure what the dead cap for Tannehill would be like. Probably less if they traded him. I probably should have started a new thread to discuss this instead of bumping this old Trubisky thread. It’s a totally different topic than trubisky to Tennessee (which I don’t see as realistic).
  2. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/03/the-titans-emerge-as-a-potential-aaron-rodgers-suitor/ Sounds like there might be some interest between Rodgers and Tennessee. ugh. I hope not. That would suck! Titans could be a juggernaut with Rodgers.
  3. Wow that’s crazy! I didn’t even know that was allowed. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/12/20/nick-caserio-david-culley-regularly-communicate-during-games/ I remember the browns GM getting suspended for sending texts to his coaches during the game. But I guess this is allowed since they communicated via headset. What a **** show the Texans are.
  4. Whoa. The dolphins might be ****** if there’s witnesses to the $100k offer. Id have to imagine they lose at least one 1st round pick, if not more. Same for the Browns if Hue Jackson’s accusations are true (and he also claims to have proof). They should actually be punished even harsher because their tank actually worked. They got two 1st overall picks, and one of them could be a super star (Myles Garrett).
  5. On a similar subject, Shea Tierney is leaving to be the NYG Qb coach. Not surprised since Joe Brady is being named our QB coach. Plus Tierney was one of the only asst. coaches Daboll actually hired himself. Ryan Wendell was another and I think there was possibly 1 more low level assistant too (at most). Otherwise McDermott assembled the entire offensive staff.
  6. I love this hire! has me even more excited about our offense next year!
  7. The text says it’s from January 11th and that divisional game wasn’t until the 23rd so, if this is true, it has to be for another reason.
  8. If true (and I’m not sure it is), I wonder what he was unhappy about. I wonder if it had anything to do with the run game.
  9. It sure could, if he has proof. I would think Miami would potentially lose at least one 1st round pick and who knows how big of a fine (not that it would really matter to a billionaire like Ross). It'll be interesting to see what he has to back up his claims. Not a good look for Miami so far. But we’ll see what happens.
  10. I mean, you kind of have to give the guy credit. As others have said, it very well could be NFL career suicide. But obviously he’s taking a stand for something he strongly believes in and must feel the sacrifice is worth it. I have to respect that.
  11. There’s a text from Belichick in the affidavit.
  12. Glad the Bills got their first choice and I’m excited to see what he can do!
  13. I was just going to post the same thing. He took like 12 paragraphs to thank everyone under the sun but not a single mention of anything Patriots - belichick, Kraft, Patriots teammates or fans.
  14. I’m guessing the Bills were ready to move on, otherwise I don’t think they’d allow a lateral move if they really wanted Bobby Johnson coaching their o line next season.
  15. Tee Martin actually has more experience in coaching than Dorsey does. He’s been coaching for 15 years and has been a QB coach, WR coach, offensive coordinator and asst. HC. Dorsey has been coaching about 1/2 as long and has been a QB coach with carolina and Buffalo. So if everyone feels he’s qualified, I don’t get why you’d laugh at Tee Martin being interviewed and/or write it off as just some Rooney rule thing. Exactly.
  16. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tee_Martin good read. I didn’t know anything about him but now I’m intrigued. Played QB. Was a backup for Peyton Manning in college. Then had success as a starter. Led his team to a national championship. Then played in the NFL, NFL Europe and CFL. He also has a long history as a college coach. He’s been a QB coach, WR coach, OC, asst. HC. He’s only been the ravens Wr coach since 2021. There’s also a Matt Barkley connection: https://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/2012/2/15/2801407/tee-martin-hired-usc-football-wide-receiver-coach
  17. I watched the whole thing and had a much different impression. I liked a lot of what he had to say and I thought he handled all the questions well.
  18. Wow! I love it. I also love that KC fans are now feeling the same pain we are. I say we start donating to some KC charity in small denominations 😂
  19. That’s the type of play we needed our defense to make in that KC game. One big play like that could’ve changed the game for Buffalo.
  20. I call BS on at least some of this. The surgery thing definitely wasn’t his reason for requesting a trade. We know he requested a trade before the 2020 season because Eichel told us on another podcast that he did, so he was clearly done with the Sabres long before his injury. IMO He was done with Buffalo because of all the losing. Some of what he’s saying differs from what’s been previously reported too (some of which came directly from Eichel and/or his agents and some from Kevyn Adams). He says there was a consensus among all the doctors except buffalo’s but that’s not what was reported back when all of this was going on. It was reported that his initial 2nd opinion was the same as the Sabres doctors and that It took him seeing multiple doctors before he found one who recommended the ADR. Then by all reports he was pretty dead set on ADR and he and his agent went looking for more doctors who agreed with Dr. Prusmack so they could present it to the Sabres. Eichel says it was political but As far as I know Kevyn Adams can’t just override his medical staff and choose the type of surgery a player can have. I don’t think the NHL wants GMs choosing the types of surgeries their players have. I think the team’s medical staff decides. So if the Sabres doctors weren’t comfortable with ADR, then what can Adams do? and remember, the Sabres head doctor was one of the pioneers of ADR. buffalo’s doctors were also far from the only ones not willing to approve Eichel’s chosen surgery. There were GMs who said they would have loved to be in on an Eichel trade but it was a non-starter because their team doctor wouldn’t approve the surgery he wanted. I don’t know why the Sabres would conspire to prevent him from having the surgery. It would have been far easier for them to trade him if he could’ve had the surgery and shown he was healthy. Why would they tie their own hands like that? If they did then they’re idiots.
  21. He couldn’t. He was being held. Should have been a flag.
  22. I’m kind of indifferent. It really doesn’t matter. All I can really think about is how the bills should be hosting this game right now. If I had to pick I’d probably say the bengals. On one hand, if KC wins, it would be nice to say at least the Bills got beat by the best team, and if KC wins the Super bowl we can say the bills are neck & neck with the SB champs (and basically more/less the 2nd best team in the NFL). On the other hand, it would be nice to see the bengals win because then you’d feel like the bills getting to the super bowl wouldn’t have been such a lock after all. Plus I’m not really a KC fan. They’re quickly becoming the new Patriots for me. Plus I don’t want them going to 4 Super Bowls in a row but I kind of feel like it’s the Bills job next season/playoffs to make sure that doesn’t happen.
  23. Good start by the chiefs defense. I don’t really know who I want to win. So I guess I’m rooting for the bengals. Kind of indifferent though. Football in general is just kind of painful at the moment.
  24. I actually like the hire for LV. McDaniels offense should be a good fit for Carr. and hopefully it’ll hurt the Patriots.
