  1. We are about to lose this game if the defense can’t make a stop.
  2. This is a perfect example of how he just makes stuff up in the hopes of looking like an insider. He makes a prediction that he thinks could be likely so he can claim “insider” knowledge if he’s right.
  3. https://decrypt.co/114246/rise-fall-sam-bankman-fried-ftx https://www.reuters.com/markets/currencies/rise-fall-crypto-exchange-ftx-2022-11-10/ I am just catching up on the story this morning. But wow, this Sam bankman-fried story is nuts. He was supposed to be crypto’s golden child. FTX was one of the bigger exchanges. Not sure what to make of the owner of binance either (biggest exchange) in all of this. He already seemed somewhat shady to me and I believe is (still) under investigation for money laundering and the bank secrecy act. He’s continually rebuffed requests for documents from investigators and investors for years now. 🤔 I feel bad for all the people with assets trapped in FTX now as they await bankruptcy proceedings. https://www.forbes.com/sites/mariagraciasantillanalinares/2022/11/12/billions-of-ftx-assets-in-limbo-as-exchange-follows-voyager-into-bankruptcy/?sh=77b4171e3f72 https://blockworks.co/news/ftx-users-band-together-had-entire-net-worth-on-there-oops/ I also feel bad for the 3.5 million people with assets trapped in Voyager, because ftx was supposed to be rescuing them from bankruptcy and paying back all those people. Now that goes up in smoke too. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/08/15/voyager-customers-beg-new-york-judge-for-money-back-after-bankruptcy.html I see that BlockFi has also paused transactions due to FTX (since FTX had also “rescued” them over the summer) https://fortune.com/2022/11/11/ftx-collapse-blockfi-pausing-client-withdrawals/ I think there were 130 different companies under bankman-fried’s umbrella. So what do you all think this means for the crypto world?
  4. reminder that Eichel asked for a trade before the 2020 season (which was before he was injured). So I don’t buy that his issue was with the Pegulas/surgery. I think he was sick of the losing and wanted out. I could have respected that if he just signed a bridge deal. But he only wanted a max term contract. Then what, 2 years into it he asked for a trade? **** him. I agree with pretty much everything else you said though. Eichel is better suited in the role he has now. He’s not asked to lead, just produce. He’s good at that. Tuch has been fighting it all season. So has skinner. Looks like he’s having another down year. What pisses me off the most is his (skinner’s) lack of effort on a lot of nights. Thsnkfully Tage looks like a beast. That deal could end up being a steal, and I was a bit worried about that one when he signed it. So glad he’s picking up right where he left off last season! Cozens looks pretty good. He definitely seems to have taken a step forward. I still want more from him but he’s young, and power forward typed take longer to develop (if you want to call him a power forward…). TBH I still don’t feel great about drafting him over Zegras though. I wanted Zegras so bad. He looks like a legit star already, and his happy-go-lucky personality is so infectious. Sorry. Just venting. I was watching the ducks game a couple nights ago and was constantly drawn to Zegras every time he was on the ice. But I’m still holding out hope that Cozens ends up being as good as Zegras. Zegras-Thompson would sure be a great 1-2 punch at C though. edit - forgot to add re:Eichel - I found it funny how eager he was to do a post game interview last night. Remember last year he wasn’t even going to do a post game interview. Mike Harrington had to harass Vegas staff until Eichel finally came out, and it didn’t go well at all. He was an incredibly sore loser. That interview is still being used in memes. But he plays well + wins and he can’t wait to interview 😂 I get it though. He was booed relentlessly all night.
  5. They aren’t making the playoffs this year, and I don’t think it was even a goal of management TBH. Buffalo entered the season with the youngest roster in the NHL, and the cheapest roster in the NHL. They signed a grand total of 2 low level free agents (a backup goalie and a #4/5 defenseman). I think the goal this season was to get the kids experience. They left roster spots for Quinn and Peterka on purpose. I wanted more urgency this past offseason but I doubt they were attracting any decent free agents anyway. They could have made trades or waiver claims though. Adams and Granato seem intent on building this team up through the draft, which is fine. It’s what should have been done years ago. They also seem intent on keeping the roster low budget for now. I think it might be partly for job security reasons. If you’re losing with a cheap roster it’s easier to explain to Pegula than if you’re losing with an expensive roster (like Botterill and Murray did). I just want to see growth.
  6. Rough loss last night. They really needed to beat Arizona, who seem to be openly tanking. It doesn’t get any easier the next 2 games. They face the current top 2 teams in the league - Las Vegas and Boston. Hopefully this 3 game losing streak doesn’t turn into 5…
  7. We need a thread just for actual legitimate updates on Josh Allen so I can avoid this one 😂
  8. The only reason he is unemployed is because he tore his ACL. He has more than a 1/2 dozen teams that want to sign him, including the Bills. Do you trust Beane and McDermott? Who have they brought in that’s toxic? A lot of the same stuff was said in the media about Diggs. How that working out? Do you trust the word of Von Miller? Josh Allen? Tre White? Stefon Diggs? They’ve all talked about wanting OBJ and Miller+White have raved about the type of person he is. Can you give examples of him being this prima Donna? If you are talking about a couple times where he got mad on the sidelines, Diggs and countless other WR’s have too. Just this season Diggs was pissed on the sidelines that he didn’t get the ball. Doesn’t mean he’s a prima donna. Just means he’s a fierce competitor. can you list even a single NFL player that’s talked badly about OBJ? Why does he seem so universally loved by his peers?
  9. Stop with the doomsday bullcrap. Allen had a UCL injury has rookie season and he was fine afterwards. Hopefully this time is less severe, or at least no worse. But there’s no reason to be talking worst case scenarios already.
  10. Wtf! Injuries on defense this year have been brutal. So many important starters missing time. Poyer, Hyde, Oliver, Phillips, Rousseau, Milano, Tre white still out. Am I missing anyone? Losing Rousseau for multiple games is a big blow. They’ve been significantly below the NFL team average injuries per season so I guess they were due for a regression. Luck runs out eventually. But of course it happens when Buffalo is a legit super bowl favorite for the first time in decades…
  11. I don’t know if this is about tanking. If it was, why not just keep Reich in place? They’ve already been losing. The only thing I can think of is that maybe Jim Irsay trusts Jeff Saturday (he’s been a team consultant for years and was a colts player for over a decade before that. I believe he & Irsay are close) and wants his eyes & ears in the locker room to help figure out wtf is wrong with the team and figure out who needs to stay/go (and that might include the GM). either that or this was a crazy out of the box hire by Ballard to try and save his job. He is a unique dude. My guess is Irsay wanted someone in that locker room that could be his eyes and ears. He seems to have gone back to meddling in decisions again.
  12. Agreed. I actually just posted something similar in the post game thread. The Bills are now truly the top dogs in the AFCE, and for the first time odds on super bowl favorites. Every team is going to be fired up to take on the Bills, especially divisional opponents. The Bills have taken over for the patriots as the team everyone in the division is gunning for.
  13. I think part of the struggles so far with these division games is that Buffalo is now truly the top dog in the AFC East. Every team in the division used to be gunning for the patriots. Now they’re gunning for the Bills. You're going to get every divisional team’s best effort. Players are going to be fired up to take on Buffalo. Coaches are going to want to prove they can beat Buffalo. I think the Bills are still learning how to deal with that to some extent.
  14. https://theathletic.com/3770085/2022/11/07/seven-observations-bills-jets/ Joe Buscaglia perfectly describes the reasons they lost. There’s a lot more detail in the article but I tried to post the gist of it. Also thought it was interesting that the Jets loss came almost exactly 1 year after the jaguars loss (which was Nov. 7 2021). Mid season lull is real.
  15. The offense has been at or near the top of the NFL in scoring all season. They had 1 bad game where the QB played like crap. Yeah, Dorsey had some questionable calls yesterday for sure. But outside of that I think he’s been pretty stellar especially considering it’s his first year ever calling plays. Look how much Daboll grew over the years.
  16. We’ve only really been in the fight for the 1 seed since 2020, so 2 seasons plus this one. 2020 was the first year Josh really took his big step toward stardom so I’m not sure how realistic a goal the 1 seed was that year. It certainly wasn’t expected when the season started. It was the first year they won the division. Then in 2021 if you remember, Allen struggled to start the year. Then suddenly everything seemed to click in the 2nd half of that Tampa bay game and he’s been on fire ever since. So now we obviously expect more. This year feels like the first year where anything but the 1 seed would feel disappointing. We obviously wanted it last year (and the year before) but KC was still the top dog in the East. I would say the slump this year has been different. They aren’t getting embarrassed. They are still very competitive. They still won the Green Bay game despite a terrible 2nd half. They almost won the Jets game and led for much of it. Lets see how they respond next week. Anyone talking of firing McDermott is overreacting as far as I’m concerned. This ⬆️ even if they don’t get the 1 seed this year it shouldn’t cost McDermott his job. The Bills are a powerhouse and odds on super bowl favorites. Talk of firing the head coach seems silly.
  17. Anyone who wants to start over because of one loss needs to get their emotions in check because they are being ridiculous. It’s just the annual slump. Every year there is a 2-3 game stretch where the defense suddenly can’t stop anyone and Josh Allen + the offense struggles. Its like a tradition at this point 😂 The good news is that they always play much better afterwards. The bad news is it usually costs them the 1 seed. Im hoping they can end the slump at 1&1/2 games this year and get back on track next week.
  18. I give the titans props for making this a game. Malik Willis is awful. I feel like with tannehill they probably win tonight.
  19. Well assuming Kansas City does end up winning this game (very likely), this has easily been one of the most aggravating Sunday’s of football this season. The Bills game was obviously the most aggravating, but every other team I wanted to lose has also won. Kansas City getting multiple tries at that 2pt conversion was annoying as well. Kelce held the Titans player just as much as he was held, or more (he ripped the guy’s helmet off) and no call. It almost felt like the refs were going to make sure KC got as many tries as they needed to get that 2pt conversion. 😂 But when Davis gets mugged on that last play of the game, no flag… I hate that football can have such a negative effect on my mood. On day’s like today I question why I even watch NFL football. Seriously, it doesn’t feel worth it sometimes. But I know I’ll watch tomorrow, and Thursday, and I know I’ll definitely watch the Bills play next Sunday. I kind of feel like an addict choosing unhealthy behaviors 😂
  20. Bills need to sign OBJ. Make a hard push to get it done. Be aggressive. Gabe Davis isn’t cutting it as a #2 WR. They don’t have anyone outside of Diggs making plays right now. Get OBJ and hopefully he can take that #2 spot some time in December. Give him a 2yr deal so we have him for next season too. Diggs + OBJ would be a nice 1-2 punch. We need it.
  21. Very aggravating loss. They deserved to lose though. They didn’t play good enough on either side of the ball. Mid season slumps are truly an annual tradition with this team. I think it started the 2nd half of that Green Bay game and obviously continued today. Hoping they get their **** together by next week. They can’t afford to drop another game now if they want any shot at the #1 seed. Heck, they need to start worrying about not even winning their division if this continues. Jets are at 6 wins. Dolphins are at 6 wins. Patriots at 5 wins. Bills have no breathing room.
  22. Gardner never looked for the ball. Why wasn’t that a flag?
  23. They deserved to lose today. Ugly play on both sides of the ball.
  24. Starting to wonder if Buffalo is in their annual mid season slump. Every season there seems to be a 2-3 game stretch where they struggle. I honestly didn’t think it would happen this year. But with the way they played the 2nd half of the Green Bay game and now this game… I’m starting to wonder. yeah I know they are still currently up.
  25. If they keep playing like this They’re going to lose this friggin game.
