  1. I honestly don't understand the hate that some people have for Tyrod.
  2. Definitely an intriguing UDFA signing, and one that I'll be following closely. He seems like like a guy worth developing, and I believe he landed in a really good spot to do so, having both McDermott and John Butler (who I think was a fantastic hire). Both have shown an ability to develop CB's and/or make them better. Plus I think he could do well in this scheme. Thr Bills really need some of these UDFA's to work out this year. Fingers crossed on Wallace!
  3. I'm glad things didn't get ugly between him and Buffalo. I wasn't sure how it would go after that "retirement" press conference. Beat of luck in whatever comes next Eric!
  4. Sounds like it's going to be a while yet on Elder Scrolls 6. Its only in pre-production. They still have to release Fallout '76, and then another totally new game called "Starfield", which is still in production and doesn't even have a release date yet. After those games are released they will put their focus on making Elder Scrolls. So from what I understand it is still likely years away. Definitely sucks about Fallout '76. I'm so disappointed. lol Personally, I kind of hope it's a total bust and crappy seller, so that they go back to their normal single player Fallout games. Or for ****'s sake at least make a single player mode for one of the most popular single player games ever!
  5. It's obviously hard to know for sure, but this piece makes it sound like Shady is buying in to this new offense, which is obviously important from your best player (on offense). When he was first hired, I was pumped up for our run game because I thought his blocking scheme fit our o line very well. Now... who knows with this patchwork o line. But I'm still excited about Daboll. Let's be real here, though - Daboll isn't exactly working with a great offense here. I mean really, we have no clue what he has on offense with such HUGE question marks at QB and 4/5ths of the offensive line. Much of his success in year 1 will likely come down to those 2 things. Same with Greg Roman. He had a massive playbook. Wanted to try and confuse the defense. I remember Shady saying that he'd install sometimes 100+ plays on a given week. Anthony Lynn came in and simplified it, with good results. Hopefully the results with Daboll are much better. He seems like a really smart guy, though, and I like a lot of what he says/believes. I hope he can stick around a while. I'd love to see some continuity on that side of the ball. It'd be awesome to actually have the same offenseive and defensive staff for a few years in a row (or longer...) for a change.
  6. Well damn, that blows. I wont even buy it now if that's the case. I have zero interest in playing online (same reason I never bought Elder Scrolls morrowind, even though I love elder scrolls). Very disappointed in Bethesda. I was really looking forward to this game, too. IMO this goes against everything Fallout is. You are taking a great RPG that people have Loved for a decade + and totally changing it. How are you going to force the "lone wanderer" to play with groups of people?
  7. I believe there will be a single player mode too, won't there? At least according to this article (I didn't watch E3 announcement yet). https://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/972403/Fallout-76-online-Multiplayer-survival-single-player-optional It scares me that so many games are moving toward his online multiplayer though (and some only have online multiplayer, like elder scrolls morrowind (which I haven't even played even though I LOVE elder scrolls)). Like you, I just want to play offline. I don't really have a group of friends who game, and have no interest in trying to find random people to play with. Plus, like you said, there are too many people who just want to torture you. I remember playing 'Watch Dogs' for the first time. I had never played before and wasn't too good at it. Well I had no idea that people could just 'hack' your game and invade it. I kept having the same guy invade my game over and over and over again. I would have to try and search for him and find/kill him before the time was up and he "hacked" me, or got away. Well, even when I'd find him he'd just torture/taunt me. Then he'd lose me and show back up just before the time ran out and he won, just to torture me longer. I could never kill him, he was too good. Well finally after about 3 hours of him invading my game every 15-30 mins, I said screw it and quit playing (then found out you can turn off the in game invasions). But yeah, I just like to do my own thing.
  8. Well spoken kid. I like his attitude, too. Very easy to root for. You can see why people have said that his teammates (supposedly) love him and gravitate towards him. Really hope we finally hit the lotto with this pick. But hey, no matter what at least the Bills are finally playing (the lottery). Can't win if you don't even play!
  9. Good for Jennings. It sounds like he really busted his ass and took advantage of that internship opportunity. Hope he does well and earns a promotion higher up the Bills scouting ranks.
  10. I finally bought a copy of the original Destiny last year, just to see what all the hype was about. It was ok, but I couldn't really get too far playing solo. So I quit playing and haven't played since. lol I could see how it would be cool to play online and/or with friends though. I'm just not an online gamer.
  11. This is Chuck-e-Cheese we are talking about, right? lol Crazy.
  12. Crazy that Toronto has better odds than the Penguins (2 Cups in the last 3 years) and Washington. And even Nashville. Especially with Toronto losing JVR (who had 36 goals for them this year) and Bozak. That's about 100pts leaving their lineup. They have a lot of cap space, so they very well could replace both those players in free agency. But still, until you see what they do in FA it's hard to say that they will definitely be a better team than last year.
  13. Jarvis Landry with some praise for TT (while throwing Cutler/Tannehill under a bus...) - http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000936293/article/jarvis-landry-browns-qbs-a-lot-better-than-miamis
  14. This is true. Plus they are not standard employees like many regular Americans (especially those not part of a union). They are contracted and part of a union, and there are specific terms to the contracts they sign. Standing for the anthem wasn't in those terms (as far as I'm aware) or in the NFL's policies either. It is now, but it wasn't when all of this started. They all work for different owners, too, who all have differing policies. If the team owner (in this case Terry & Kim Pegula) was ok with them kneeling (like the Pegulas were), then who are we to say it's not ok for them to do at work? And thats the other big difference - us normal workers are not asked/mandated to stand for the pledge once a week, while it's broadcast on national TV for millions of viewers. We are not looked up to (as role models or otherwise) by 1000's and 1000's of fans, young and old. We don't have a platform to protest at work like these athletes do, to try and get our message out. Union Protests do happen in workplaces too, though, albeit under a bit different circumstances... lol.
  15. It's cool to think about the the Pats dynasty finally starting to crumble. But right now all this talk is meaningless to me until it has an actual negative impact on the field. Until then, I'll just continue to assume that they'll be the usual juggernaut that they are. I do think this time possibly seems different too. But it's not the first time we've read about the start of the Patriots downfall. So I won't hold my breath. My real hope is that the Bills become such a good team we no longer worry about what the Pats are doing... lol.
  16. Glad to hear that he seems to hopefully be doing better. Good luck Richie! Best wishes from this Bills fan.
  17. All you usually have to do is add something like - IMO (in my opinion) - and that won't happen (nearly as much, anyway). I don't know what posts you are referring to. But I think it's all in the way you say things. Like, for example, when you say things like "Mahomes is the better prospect", it looks like a definitive statement and people will be likely to question things like that. If you add that "IMO" it changes the whole statement. Then people clearly know it's only your opinion. Anyway... lol.
  18. But IMO it wasn't truly continuity because Rex ran some "half pregnant" version of his & Schwartz's defense year 1. He didn't fully install his own defense until year 2 when he brought his brother in (who was said to have made a lot of changes to the defensive scheme and play calls). I remember players talking about trying to learn the defensive scheme in year 2, and even remember (a) guy(s) in training camp saying it was almost like installing a new defense at times. So it wasnt technically what I'd call continuity... (at least IMO). Not like this year, anyway. This is basically the first time since 2010-2011 that the Bills (defensive) players have actually had the same DC and defensive scheme for 2 years in a row. The Bills have been in constant upheaval for so long. I really hope !cDermott and his staff can put an end to that.
  19. What I miss the most from the Buffalo News is all of those inside access/behind the scenes stories they used to write. I dont know what exactly happened, or why they stopped. That was info that you couldn't get anywhere else. It made the Buffalo News sports section (at the time) a "Must Read" for me. If TBN not writing as many inside access stories was due to their reporters having bad relationships with Pegula (It wasn't too long after Pegula bought the Sabres that you heard rumors of a fallout between them and TBN, and shortly after that it seemed like many of those behind the scenes, inside access pieces started drying up), I really hope bringing in new blood opens that door up again.
  20. I was wondering the same thing...
  21. There are only a select handful of game titles/series I will pre-order/buy brand new. This is one of them! Thanks for sharing Shady. Hopefully the release date isn't too far off (I read possibly fall). Same here. I feel like too too many games are going in that direction - shorten campaign modes and more multiplayer online content. It sucks for me me because I don't really play online much. It's just not for me. I don't like all the people who run around and just try to purposely aggravate you. I like the open world, long single player campaign type games.
  22. Agreed. I used to really love reading the behind the scenes/inside info pieces the Buffalo News would write. It was a little while after Pegula bought the Sabres that those types of pieces just started drying up. There were lots of rumors about a falling out between TBN and the Pegulas (I believe due to the constant litany of negative pieces). Once in a while I will see an inside access piece by Vic Carucci, or maybe John Vogl (who is now leaving...). But they are very very few and far between. So there's not much point in paying to read generic pieces that I can also find in 10 other places for free. Maybe bringing in some new blood will change this? I hope so. I miss the inside access stuff.
