Hard Knocks 2018: The Cleveland Browns
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, that was disappointing. They barely showed anything having to do with the Coleman trade. They showed him at his house admiring his shoe collection. Then on the field dropping a bunch of passes and getting his ass chewed out by the coaches. Then there was a 15 second scene in Hue office and that was about it. I thought it was kind of ridiculous some of the plays he got yelled at about. Specifically that one pass that Haley reams him over saying something about how it hit him right in the chest. The ball was nowhere near him! I don’t see how he could have made that catch. Seemed like Haley was yelling at him just to yell. Also, found it kind of interesting that they show David Njoku dropping just as many passes as Coleman and yet he was not chewed out nearly as bad for any of the drops. I will say that I thought the Browns coaching staff did come off a little better in this episode than the last one, but that’s not a very high bar to clear... lol. Yeah, I haven’t seen much actual coaching from them. From what I’ve seen on the show, they don’t seem all that interested in trying to help their players understand what exactly they did wrong and/or how to fix it. I don’t see the attention to detail. I’ve just see a bunch of screaming about effort level and how they’re idiots for screwing up. Also agree on that personnel guy (or whatever he was). He definitely didn’t seem prepared, which is probably why he was so hesitant to hand over that list of WR’s. I mean, how does your head personnel guy not have a list prepared of available players? -
Hard Knocks 2018: The Cleveland Browns
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just s reminder that Hard Knocks is on at 10pm tonight. Very interested to see the Coleman trade go down on tonight’s episode. -
Reminder that this airs in 24 hours. I cant wait to watch. Just watching the few short clips that I’ve seen of this so far compared to what I’ve seen on Hard Knocks of Hue (and Dirk Koetter last year), I have to say wow what a difference. McDermott just commands the room every time I see him, whether with coaches or players.

Khalil Mack holding out... in Buffalo
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read that the Raiders and Khalil Mack haven’t even talked since February, and that Gruden has not spoken with Mack since he was hired. Kinda crazy if true -
David Culley Talks Bills' QB Competition
BillsFan4 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Josh Allen wins the QB competition fair and square, then so be it. But my only thing is that once he goes in as the starter, I want him to STAY in. I absolutely do not want to have to pull him because he’s not ready. I’d rather not take any chance at hurting his confidence level. If Allen is named starter, they just have to be damn sure he’s ready to stay in. Otherwise, if there’s any doubt, go with AJ or Nate. Its a lot easier to switch from Nate/AJ to Josh than vise versa. -
In my opinion, this makes it look like she was just after money the entire time, since she knew her free ride with McCoy was just about done. I hate to doubt the “victim” in these types of scenarios. But this is a bad look for her, especially when the police investigation hasn’t even finished yet (to my knowledge).

Chris Brown just said on One Bills Live that Zay is “laser focused like he’s never seen before”. Stressed that he’s really, really locked in. Said he’s not out there to make friends, and even got into it with Hyde. Said he and Hyde were chirping and Zay was giving it right back, then grabbed Hyde by the face mask, pulled him in close and yelled right in his face. I would recommend listening to Chris Brown tell it. I can’t remember his exact words, but I know he said it much better, and in more detail, than I just did. It’s right at the start of OBL today. Brown sounded very impressed by Zay’s new attitude.

Kyle throws punches at Jordan Mills
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems like every time we hear about any type of fight, Mills is involved. And any time we head of verbal altercations, Hughes is involved. Usually Mills, too. Boy, he must have really done something to piss off Kyle to get him to throw punches. -
Cardale starting tonight for Chargers
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His 2nd year. But iirc he was injured for much of his first year. He didn’t play any preseason games and was placed on injured reserve in November, ending his season. They also switched OC’s part way through the year, so this is everyone’s first training camp in Bill Musgrave’s offense. -
Cardale starting tonight for Chargers
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just finished watching Cardale. He has a couple nice passes, but overall he was not good at all. Missing easy throws. Staring down receivers. Questionable decision making. If he’s their #2 QB, they are in deep **** if Rivers goes down... Peterman looked miles better than Cardale. So far that’s looking like the right choice (not that I ever really doubted trading Cardale away, anyway. But I remember having some arguments defending keeping Peterman over Cardale. Speaking of that... noogie/buffalobud where you at? lol j/k) -
Great story. Thanks for sharing. I love reading stuff like this. It’s a good reminder how small, simple acts of kindness can mean the world to someone. It’s also a reminder that you never know what the person standing next to you may be going through. They might be having a rough day, or going through a tough stretch in life and something as simple as a dumb little compliment, a friendly conversation or in this case offering a ride can so easily brighten their day. It’s such a simple thing to do.

National Josh Allen buzz after 1 preseason half

Hey @transplantbillsfan, thanks for sharing all those tweets (etc). Appreciate you taking the time to do that! -
Khalil Mack holding out... in Buffalo
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The team has the option to enforce the fines or not. Much of the time teams choose not to. All is forgiven once the player reports and/or signs his new deal. Holding out is really about the only leverage a player has in a situation like this. -
Agree. KB had an excellent game. He rally stood out last night. Yeah, I got the impression that Cam wasn’t addressing KB in a very friendly manner from his body language, gestures and then the way he continued to follow Kb around the field even as he turned his back to Cam. If it is indeed the case that Cam was being confrontational, i applaud KB for walking away. But without know their history or what Cam said when he walked up to KB, it’s all just speculation as to who may have been in the wrong last night.

Lets give some credit to THE O LINE
BillsFan4 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Juan Castillo deserves some credit too. Hea is not exactly working with the cream of the crop here. Plus there are only 2 guys that are playing the same position on the o line as last year (Mills & Dawkins) and it’s a new run blocking scheme. When all of that is taken into account, it’s even more impressive how they played last night. -
Had Proehl or Reilly (whoever it was) not dropped that pass, and if Foster hadn’t stopped running on that long ball or slowed down to track the other long ball, suddenly Josh Allen is 12 for 19 with a 63.19 completion %. I know that’s not how it works. But his accuracy last night wasn’t nearly as bad as that 47% stat line makes it look. I agree that he has a ways to go yet before he’s ready to start.

Tremaine Edmunds played light & tight
BillsFan4 replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering that he is only 20yrs old and it was his first ever NFL game, I didn’t think he did bad. He wasn’t great, by any means. But he wasn’t terrible either. I thought he was biting on the ball too hard on certain plays, which caused him to be out of position. But that was an issue in college, too, so I didn’t expect it to be corrected by the first quarter of preseason game 1. Edmunds has all the tools, and by all accounts the brains, to be a dominant NFL MLB. Time will tell if he gets there. We have, IMO, one of the best LB coaches in the NFL. That should (obviously) be a big help. -
Are we now a pass first offense?
BillsFan4 replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are a match up offense. IMO, how much they run or pass will vary by the opponent. Carolina had one of the best run defenses in the NFL last year and has a very stout D line. So, Daboll decided to take advantage of the pass. -
Same here. I noticed it when Allen was in the game. I even commented to my friend about how long it looked like the ball was taking to reach Allen.

Do we really need another debate on Tyrod?
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was a Tyrod supporter his entire time here. I argued in his favor from the start of preseason in 2015, and I am rooting for him to succeed in Cleveland. I agree with most of what you are saying, and I wasn’t trying to argue that Tyrod was at fault for the inept offense last year. I was only talking about 1 specific issue and I think my criticism was valid - Tyrod did struggle making quick passes like that during his time in Buffalo. I’m not really sure you can put that specific problem on the OC. I highly doubt that Dennison, who runs (or wanted to run) a west coast style offense predicated on quick timing passes, was telling Tyrod not to take a 3 step drop and fire the ball. From what I remember of what was reported, that was actually something Dennison was pushing Tyrod to do. And when Peterman played, we seen more of the quick passing game.
