Here is the quote in question - Unless I am just missing it, this is the only thing I can find that he said about Deshaun Watson - But it I don’t see anything in that’s rticle where he said or implied that Deshaun Watson should have gone 1st overall. He didn’t say that about Jackson either. Only that he should have been the 2nd QB off the board IF all these teams wanted Baker Mayfield at 1. I totally disagree with what he is saying about Lamar Jackson. He is assuming that every team trying to trade up for a QB was after Baker Mayfield and I don’t think that is true at all. But I don’t see it as race baiting. He is just wrongly assuming that every team trying to trade up was after Baker.

That was my first thought as well. Has Wilson ever even missed a game to injury? Looking at NFL.com, it appears he has started all 16 games in every one of his 6yrs in the NFL.

Staind had some decent songs especially when they first came out, but their stuff was kind of hit or miss for me. - I also liked some of the stuff Stabbing Westward did (if you like that Nine inch Nails, Tool type of sound). They have some great lyrics - I would also list Incubus but I don’t know if they really qualify as underrated.

If that were the case, then I’d rather not play him. Developing Josh Allen into our franchise QBs for the next 10+ years is much more important to me than few extra wins this season. Just to be clear though, I am not saying that playing josh will stunt his development. I have no clue if it would or not. I will defer to the coaching staff’s superior knowledge on this subject, and support whoever they start.

I just turned the Chargers vs Seahawks game on so I’ve onyl seen it from the start of the 4th quarter. But it appears that Geno Smith has jumped Cardale Jones on the depth chart and in the battle for the 2nd string QB job? Cardale just came in for the 4th quarter. I haven’t been following this backup QB battle at all, but the announcers are saying that this could be a make or break game for Cardale, and that Ken Whisenhunt needs to see him clean up a lot of things + show he can run this offense. It sounds like his roster spot could be in jeopardy, unless they decide to keep 3 QBs.

I am very happy to see him having success. The way he takes care of his disabled sister makes it so easy to root for him. I will say though, he does seem to be more dedicated to football ever since leaving Buffalo.

No surprise there. He’s their #3 overall pick and they’ve been quickly pushing him up the depth chart since he showed up for camp. I don’t think it was ever an “open QB competition” as Todd Bowles claimed it was, anyway. It was always Darnold’s job to lose, and he’s done nothing to lose it. Bridgewater played very well in week 2, though. I thought he almost played better than Darnold did. But the Jets clearly feel Darnold is ready and doesn’t need any time on the sidelines. I hope Bridgewater can catch on somewhere else. I’ve always liked him. Seems like a great kid.

For me it’s less about peterman and more about making sure Allen is put in the best possible position to succeed long term. I am cautious by nature with rookies and especially so with Allen, who I hope is the franchise QB we have been waiting for since Jim Kelly. I dont want to do anything that could possibly hurt his development. If the coaching staff feel he’s ready to play with the 1’s in preseason game 3 and Allen has another showing like last night, then yeah, start him. But if there’s any doubt that he’s ready, I’d rather throw peterman in. Definitely excited about what I’ve seen from Allen, though.

Some excellent quotes in that article. The guys already seem seem to believe in Josh Allen and gravitate toward him. I can totally see why, too. He really does seem to have a lot of energy and an infectious personality.

I imagine they will just bring in a 3rd string/practice squad type guy that they can throw to the wolves in preseason game #4.

I could care less if we lose at this point. The Browns are playing their #1 overall pick and some of their 2nd string guys against our 3rd stringers.

Man, mayfield had all day. Charles has to make that catch, but hey, I ain’t complaining! And damn, 0 for 6 on 3rd downs for Cleveland. Buffalo has been playing much better since the first quarter. I think the Browns maybe caught them off guard with how hard they came out swinging. Their run game was awful last week though. It’s like they wanted to come out and prove a point.
