  1. I’ll havr to go back and watch it. I thought he grabbed onto his back/jersey.
  2. Nice play on 2nd down by Edmunds and Johnson there.
  3. Really dumb penalty by Taron Johnson. This is is exactly what McDermott meant when he said these first few weeks, games are won with good fundamentals and not beating yourself with penalties + mistakes.
  4. Well, hey our new punter is looking good! And he may get a whole lot of practice today.... make up for all those preseason reps he missed. He might get a preseason worth of reps in one game! lol
  5. Let’s go Nate! Let’s see what ya got kid! Give him some protection O Line!
  6. Not a great start by our defense.
  7. Bills didn’t look ready for that Qb sneak.
  8. Gaines didn’t look good on that 29 yard play by Baltimore. I hope #2 CB isn’t an issue for us this season...
  9. Excited and nervous! Go Bills! So much unknown, especially at QB and O line. I have no idea what to expect... I just hope Nate does well.
  10. So sorry to hear this, man. My condolences. i have lost quite a few to addiction & mental illness myself.
  11. Last nights game was a perfect example of talent vs system. Buffalo’s prospects, just like their NHL team, tried to do too much themselves and were not playing their system. Boston on the other hand, was very well disciplined and executed their system perfectly. They were excellent playing their gaps and taking away the puck carrier’s space. They were attacking north and south with speed. They were swarming the puck, winning their battles along the boards, and generally just skating through the Sabres players any time buffalo touched the puck. They did a good job taking away the dangerous scoring chances/areas of the ice, too. But to be fair, a number of those bruins players have experience paying together in the AHL. I believe 4 guys on their blue line alone played together in providence last season. It showed. Their AHL team is very well coached and they play very well within their system. Boston’s goalie was also excellent tonight. He was a difference maker for Boston. The ice conditions didn’t seem very good again. NJ struggled with it last night and Buffalo definitely struggled tonight. Guys were falling, bobbling passes and losing the puck trying to stick handle. It was kind of frustrating to watch. Still, lots of good to take away from that game. Dahlin does so many little things well, and the way he sees the ice is special. Luukkonon looked very good in goal. He is miles better than Jonas Johansson. We could have something in UPL in the future. Tage Thompson once again stood out. He has easily been one of buffalo’s best forwards in both games. He’s. It lookin glide just some throw-in in the ROR trade, that’s for sure. Asplund could be a player for us sooner than we think. He’s almost like a better version of JT Compher. Laaksonon once again showed his skill. He looks like another one that could be an impact player for Buffalo in the years to come, if he continues on his development path. Mittelstadt was better tonight night but still left a lot to be desired. Writing him in as the #2 C might be a bit premature. He may have to start out the season as the #3 C, or potentially in a C/W role like the end of last season (where E rod helped him out at C).
  12. Didn’t know that. Thanks. I thought RGIII was the backup.
  13. Looks like McDermott was smart to prepare for Lamar Jackson...
  14. Nice to see Coskey get the bump up to the 2nd line. I thought he earned it last night.
  15. Huh. Interesting. I find that surprising when you hear guys like Kyle say that they always know where they stand with McD and he always shoots them straight. Seems like he usually plays the guys that earn it, too. But I definitely do believe you. I know you have good, legit sources. I’d love to hear more details sometime (if you ever wanted to pm me, I can keep a secret.... ? lol). You cant please everyone, I guess. I’m sure there are guys who hate Belichick (understandably so...lol) and same probably goes for every other coach around the NFL. I can’t imagine any are universally loved by every player. Ultimately, as long as they are good coaches and they win, that’s what matters most. Still, I have to wonder why they hate him? Personality? Coaching style? Shipping friends out of town?
  16. Are you talking about Whaley when you say you know a couple that don’t trust him? Interesting about the Rico thing. That is what I suspected all along.
  17. Dahlin was as advertised. His ability to transition out of the defensive zone is going to be HUGE for the Sabres. His passing also stood out. Very well rounded defenseman already. Amazing that he’s only 18, and has only been a defenseman since 14... sky’s the limit for him. Tage Thompson really impressed me tonight. He stood out. A lot more skilled than I expected. And he knows how to use his size. Didn’t look awkward at all (I thought he would being so tall and all...). Boy, he’s got a hell of a shot, too. He looks like he has top 6 potential for sure. Nylander also stood out to me. He was around the puck a lot, and made a lot of nice plays. Consistent effort all night too, which was great to see. He has so much talent, and is still so young. It would be huge for Buffalo if he works out. Olofsson’s shot is also as advertised, and his release is just lightning fast. Borgen was great defensively. Very physical. Very good in his own zone and on the PK. Laaksonen flashed his skill tonight. You can see why Buffalo made him a 3rd round pick. Asplund played a very good 2 way game. Showed his defensive ability and also made some nice plays. I love his motor. Kid is relentless. Thought Cole Coskey had a nice showing for himself. Mittelstadt was disappointing. He looked disinterested to me or something. If that was the case I get it. He knows he has a spot in Buffalo and I’m sure doesn’t want to risk injury so close to his first camp. Hickey struggles to start the game. But I thought he settled in during the 3rd. All in all, very nice showing by the Sabres prospects. It gets you excited for the future.
  18. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/video/live-buf-vs-nj/t-277437090/c-60893403?utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral link to the Sabres live broadcast of the prospect challenge. It’s starting now.
  19. Oh yay, another terrible yeezus thread... Honest question for you yeezus - Are you a fan of s other team trolling us? If you’re not, why do you post on a Bills board, or even follow the Bills, when you so clearly hate the team? Oh, and Darby was traded because he didn’t fit the new scheme. He was struggling badly to pick up the zone concept (which is harder to understand than man coverage).
  20. Foles did not look very good tonight. Neither offense, as a whole, looked good though.
  21. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/video/rasmus-dahlin-9618/t-277437090/c-60910903 edit -it’s rasmus Dahlin’s interview form today. I don’t know how to embed videos from the Sabres site. Can anyone tell me how to do it? Thanks.

  23. I have high hopes for Brian Daboll. I just hope he gets a chance to stick around for a while even if the offense struggles a bit this year. I think it’s important for the offense as a whole, and specifically the QBs (especially Josh Allen) to have continuity. I don’t want Josh trying to learn another new system next year. Daboll seems more more than smart enough to figure things out, and I really like the concept he has for the offense - tailor the offense to what your players do well, and to the opponent each week. Hopefully he’s able to execute that plan with what he currently has to work with...
