  1. I totally agree that they have to earn their way off that list, and 6-10 doesn’t really do that(especially to anyone outside of buffalo who probably.t don’t follow the Bills very closely). But personally, I don’t think they arrived at a 6-10 record because of disfunction. I think it was more the result of a transition phase of the rebuild and cleaning up the cap for future seasons. I fully understand why why many are still in wait and see mode though. Although I’m a fan of this new regime and have more confidence in them than pretty much any regime since Polian, I am still somewhat in wait and see mode myself. I am hopeful though.
  2. In years past I would have easily agreed with the Bills being on this list (and I’d have argued that they should be much higher). But I don’t really see anything that is disfunctional about the Bills these days. Everyone in the building seems in lock step, and all the embarrassing leaks to the press have been plugged. I guess the Bills still have to prove themselves though. 2 years don’t make up for decades of disfunction.... lol.
  3. Is this the guy that lost his mind in that YouTube video after the eagles traded Shady?
  4. That was a crazy read. No wonder the Browns struggle so much. Wow. Also, this : I wonder if they asked him to write his name, or if he just took it upon himself (my guess is the latter. Seems more mayfield-like to me...lol)
  5. Yeah, I don’t think this will be a game I preorder or buy new. I only preorder or buy games new when I am pretty much 100% sure I’ll love them. This is definitely a game I want to try though. I will either put it on my GameFly rental list, or I’ll wait for GameStop to get some used copies (usually doesn’t take long) because when you buy a used game there is a 7 day return policy (where you can either get your money back or swap it for a different game).
  6. Im not real big into the horror games anymore. My nerves don’t handle all the scares as well as they used to... lol I might throw it on my GameFly rental list though, just to try it.
  7. There is a Rochester Americans game being broadcast on MSG tomorrow night (at 7pm) for anyone interested. It is 1 of only 3 games MSG is broadcasting this year.
  8. I have no issue just keeping the thread title simple if that’s what everyone wants. I just remember some people saying in the old Sabres thread that they relied on the thread title to know when the next Sabres game was, that’s why I did it that way. Let me know what you all want me to do. It doesn’t matter to me either way.

  10. What sucks about this news is that I take it to mean Belichick probably isn’t thinking of retiring just yet, even with a Super Bowl win. I hope I'm wrong. I’d love to see Brady go into his age 42 season without Belichick as his head coach...
  11. I started a new thread and will do my best to keep thr title updated. If I forget too often, I will switch it to a generic thread title as BringBackFergy suggested.
  12. I am starting a new Sabres thread. I will try to keep the thread title updated like 26CB did.
  13. Anyone planning on trying “The Outer Worlds”? Its a new game by the creators of the original fallout (and fallout: new Vegas). Its supposed to be like Fallout in space. I think it looks pretty cool.
  14. Does anyone know - Can you do this side quest while at the start of chapter 3? (while Dutch has asked the gang not to create trouble in Rhodes) edit - you can. I didn’t shoot the shopkeeper though. I let him live. Not sure what would’ve happened if I shot him.
  15. Surprised it took this long... but at least they were smart enough to do it before he made some terrible trade out of desperation. Looking at his tenure as GM, there are not a whole lot of moves he made that look very good. Almost every trade was awful, and he managed to somehow almost make the oilers worse. It is inexcusable to surround one of the best players on the planet with so little. It’s a crime not to build a team around McDavid. If Edmonton is smart, they will finally clear out that whole old boys club (Lowe, MacTavish etc). They have been there, in prominent roles (GMs, coach, president, Vice President) through the Oilers entire decade+ run of futility. Until the owner decides its more important to win than to keep ex-Oiler dynasty players employed so he can hang out with them, the Oilers will probably continue to struggle. I think their problems start right at the top.
  16. I hated the Rex hire from day 1 and am generally not a big fan of his. But I will say, being a coordinator for a well established veteran coach like Reid, who has a proven program in place, could at least help limit some of his flaws... Reid knows how to run a team. I don’t think he would allow Rex to turn it into a country club/circus act. Rex would only have to run the defense, not the whole team. I also don’t think Rex would be allowed to fill the staff with a bunch of nepotistic hires like in Buffalo. Sure, maybe they let him bring in a couple guys. But not near the level he could if he was the head coach. Rex also wouldn’t be able to just delegate away many of his responsibilities like in Buffalo (where he had A. Lynn taking meeting for him and things like that). And he couldn’t get away with being the last guy to work and the first to leave every day (like in Buffalo). Or give players unnecessary days off. Reid has spent years building that team, and culture, in KC. They have a fantastic offense in place. His defense wouldn’t have to carry the team, just compliment the offense. And Bob Sutton ran a somewhat similar scheme to Rex’s. If Rex is ever going to have success again in the NFL, Kansas City seems like a decent bet. Now, whether or not you think he even has the ability to coach a good defense is another story... lol.

  18. Good article on the Athletic (sub required) by Eric Wood on why he endorses the Bobby Johnson hire - https://theathletic.com/780807/2019/01/22/wood-why-i-endorse-the-bills-choice-of-bobby-johnson-as-new-offensive-line-coach/
  19. How do we really even know what the timeline was, though? We didn’t hear about any interviews, only announcements for the guys that were hired. For all we know, Hall could have been plan A all along, with it being his job to lose. I’m not saying that was the plan or not. Just that IMO, There’s simply not enough available information to really have any idea who their top choice was.
  20. https://player.fm/series/series-2445936/ep-01-18-tsns-darren-dreger-with-the-instigators Darren Dreger was on the Instagators today. Says that Buffalo is being pretty aggressive about trying to get a deal done with Skinner. Also says that Botterill is in no rush but if there is a piece available that makes sense, he will make a move.
  21. They ended up hiring Tom Clements as passing game coordinator. I guess they won’t have an official OC. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001011665/article/cardinals-hiring-clements-as-passing-game-coordinator

  23. Right! How many 3rd downs in a row did they go to Edelman up the middle with no answer from KC?
  24. I just hope the AFC east can actually give the Pats a fight next season. Hopefullythe Bills add some talent, Allen takes a step forward and we don’t just hand the Pats 2 easy wins. Same for the Jets and Darnold.
  25. It was the right call. It didn’t touch him. And it wouldn’t have been a TD even if it did because you can’t advance a muffed punt. KC still would’ve had to finish the drive. As far as the roughing call deciding the game, You could also say the reverse about the non pick call on that long pass to Sammy Watkins. If that had been called again a KC (and it should have) then they may never even tie the game up. Or If Dee Ford doesn’t line up Offside on that interception, the game is over. Or maybe if Ried takes another chance at the end zone with 11 seconds left instead of kicking the field goal, they could have won it in regulation. If KC has showed up at all during the first half the game could have been different, too. Or if their defense showed up for more than a handful of plays... Fact is that KC had plenty of opportunity to win the game. It wasn’t decided by 1 roughing the passer call. The team that played better won today.
