TE Tyler Kroft (Bengals) to the Bills
BillsFan4 replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has been pretty good at it in his career so far. Bengals used him more as a blocking TE (900ish snaps) vs a passing TE (650ish snaps). Hopefully he shows that 2017 pass catching ability for this piece tag though. -
RB Frank Gore (Dolphins) to the Bills

http://www.nfl.com/videos/san-francisco-49ers/0ap3000000503709/Frank-Gore-s-impeccable-pass-protection he definitely adds an aspect the team was somewhat missing. He’s a better pass blocking RB than anyone on the roster. And he’s been around + seen it all. I don’t see where it will hurt Allen to have Gore in the huddle (assuming he makes the team). Plus he’s a model veteran (and eventual hall of famer). The guy has a legendary work ethic and is very willing to mentor young players. IMO the bills should really draft/sign a young RB this year and take advantage of having 2 future Hall-of-famers in the RB room to mentor them. It’s possible neither are here after this year. May as well take advantage of what they have to offer a young player while you can. -
I am not getting my hopes up. My guess is that the Jets land him, if it is down to NY vs Buffalo. #1, I think Maccagnan will offer more money. He doesn’t seem as disciplined as Beane when it comes to spending. When he wants a guy, he seems willing to pay whatever it takes (look at Cousins last year. He got a fully guaranteed deal from Min. thanks to the Jets). #2, Darnold is more of a pocket passer than Josh Allen (at the moment, at least) and it seems like he is better at getting the ball out quicker. That makes a linemen’s job easier. and #3, the Jets currently have more talent on the o-line for Paradis to play with. IMO, For the Bills to land him, they would have to have the best offer (and maybe by a fair margin) and/or contract structure. Or Paradis would really have to buy-in to what the Bills are doing and really like the owners/coach/GM/facilities etc. Or Paradis would have to prefer the living situation in Buffalo (since he is a small town kid iirc). I hope it happens. I’d be just as happy with Morse, though. I really hope we can land one of them.

You just click on that upward facing arrow on the lower right of the tweet. Then click copy link. Then paste it here and click on “post as plain text” when it pops up. Edit - oops, seems you’ve already figured it out.

Wow! That is insane. This guy is a 7th round pick from 2015 that has had ONE good year. And that good year came playing for Brady (who gets the ball out very quick) and Dante Scarnecchia (by far the best o line coach in the NFL). New England also has some TE’s who are very good blockers. Plus they just drafted a guy at #15 last year who I thought was supposed to be their long term LT?

Bills internal discussions about Trey Flowers - DE
BillsFan4 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d be interested in signing him, but I don’t know if I’d do it for $18+M per year. He’s good, but IMO he hasn’t shown to be in that elite, huge money pass rusher category. -
I don’t know how severe the suspension will be since I don’t know if it’s an in-person hearing or a phone hearing. If it’s in-person, it’ll obviously be worse. But either way I have to believe Eichel is looking at a suspension if he’s getting a hearing. Maybe 1 game? Can’t be more than 2 I wouldn’t think (unless his answers as to why it happened are terrible) Fhe only thing that makes me worry a bit more are Eichel’s post game comments from last night... https://nhl.nbcsports.com/2019/03/10/sabres-eichel-flyers-voracek-facing-hearings-after-saturday-hits/ Itll depends on how the NHL interprets these comments and how Eichel explains them. I think he just meant that he was going to throw the body around more, not that he was head hunting because Zadorov hit him in the head.

Thanks. I figured instagram live was probably the same thing as Facebook live. Well... I’m sure we will find out. I would imagine it will be reported by a bunch of the major sports news outlets if he actually did say that about buffalo. That’s the type of quote that makes headlines. I would guess that there were numerous sports reporters watching his IG live broadcasts.

This tweet doesn’t make sense to me. What am I misunderstanding here? If Antonio Brown went on Instagram live and said that, why would this guy need to say “per sources”? I’m not too familiar with instagram, but If AB actually said that on Instagram live, wouldn’t it have been widely reported? Who’s twitter account is that anyway? The handle says “Mission to bring the best FA to NOLA for Brees. He DESERVES more than just one ring. Let's make it happen.”

Yeah, that shootout performance was definitely Lehner-esque. That first goal goal was just awful... Some of these shootout moves are getting really questionable IMO, as far as forward momentum goes (not so much last night, but I’m seeing it more and more around the NHL). Like this one - No goalie stands a chance on a shootout attempt lik that. I don’t think a guy should be allowed to basically almost come to a dead stop in front of the goalie + deke him out. If it doesn’t violate the forward momentum rule (and I think it could be argued either way) it surely violates the spirit of it. Guys are are going to keep pushing the boundaries until it gets called, though. IMO if it’s close it should be called. Or they should adjust the rule to make guys maintain a bit more speed.

I am super excited if true. I trust Beane’s judgement of character. We know they did their due diligence, that’s for sure. Honestly, When I read that NFL.com article where Brown wanted to be part of a team with a lot of camaraderie and play for owners who would want to get to know him and his family I said “hmm... sounds like he could actually be a fit”.

That Tyrod trade still looking quite impressive, eh?
