Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
BillsFan4 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great news! It’s nice to know that the Bills should for sure be in Buffalo for decades to come now. I’m also excited to see the new stadium! Now they just need to get the Sabres a new arena, or at the very least heavy renovations to the **** hole KeyBank center… -
Panthers looked good! They’ve really found their game the last 4+ games now in the playoffs. They are looking a lot more like that president’s trophy team of last season.
-
Wow!!! I love it! Boston set a record for the best regular season in NHL history this year and they lose in the first round! 😂😂 Their fans said this could be “the greatest NHL team of all time” and were talking like the Cup was a given… so much for that! 😂 Florida vs. Toronto should be a good series. Toronto will have heir hands full if Florida plays like they did this series.
-
Boston has to get by Florida first! I thought it was a foregone conclusion but Florida got it to game 7. Should be a fun game to watch tonight. I love game 7’s!

He was a starter at left tackle in college for 3 years then switched to guard this past season. Looks like he’s probably more suited for guard in the NFL though.
-
Seattle didn’t waste any time getting that pick in.

This ma6 have already been mentioned (I didn’t feel like looking through 50+ pages) but it looks like the Texans actually gave up their own 1st round pick next year in that trade up. Yikes! https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/04/28/nick-caserio-were-not-worried-the-points-and-what-the-trade-chart-says/ dumb!

Love this pick! Big time weapon for Josh Allen!
-
Wasn’t expecting that.
-
How many more QBs go in the top 10? Seattle, Detroit, Las Vegas and Atlanta could all use a QB. So I could see QB being any of their picks.
-
The Texans have the browns 1st next year. Could be that pick. That’s my guess anyway. Unless it was reported that it’s the Texans own 1st?
-
Will Indy go QB too?
-
I’m guessing it has to be the browns 1st next year. It would be crazy if houston traded their own 1st!
-
Guessing the 1st that the Texans traded is the lower of the two 1sts they have next year. So most likely Cleveland’s 1st next year. No way they are dumb enough to trade their own 1st, right?
-
Wow. Texans going big. Curious to see the compensation. Arizona was set on moving back. It won’t surprise me if the cost isn’t huge.
-
Looks like Arizona is still hoping to trade back. CJ Stroud going at #2 may have messed that up.
-
No surprise there. I just hope it’s the QB Frank Reich truly wanted. There were rumors when the trade first happened that he wanted Stroud and Tepper was enamored with Young. Reich said yesterday that there was consensus on the pick. But it’s not like he’d say otherwise even if there wasn’t. edit - this was the article I was talking about https://www.si.com/nfl/2023/03/13/carolina-panthers-david-tepper-frank-reich-split-quarterback-draft

Happy for Lamar and his family. They shouldn’t ever have to worry about money again! That has to be an amazing feeling. Hopefully he’s smart with his investments.

I’ll be watching at home while I babysit my sister’s puppy. I love when I get to watch her dog, so I’m looking forward to it. My dog loves it too. They play non-stop. I’m just hoping they let me watch the draft! lol

This is an undeniable upgrade at Qb for the Jets even if Rodgers is average. If he’s anywhere near MVP level it’s obviously a huge upgrade. So I do expect the Jets to be better next season. But they are also going to have a lot of pressure and expectations on them now. It’ll be interesting to see how the team + coaches handle the much higher expectations. Also, this could really complicate the Jets future cap situation. https://overthecap.com/jets-and-packers-agree-on-trade-for-aaron-rodgers As for the Bills, this makes our division harder. But we only play NY twice. It shouldn’t make our break our season.

I am probably not the best person to answer but I think a lot of it just has to do with people believing in the power of prayer. That alone can make group prayer helpful IMO. It can be comforting and uplifting (mentally) to that person and their family knowing others are praying for you, especially if you believe in the power of prayer. I know I’ve asked people for prayers before a family member was going in for major surgery or if they were going through a traumatic health event. Before my mom had open heart surgery I remember she asked her neighbor (who is very religious and attends church every Sunday) to pray for her and her neighbor had the whole church do a prayer service for her. My mom didn’t attend but just knowing they did it brought her a lot of comfort before she went in for surgery. She was scared to death and I think it gave her that little extra boost she needed to get through the whole pre-surgery process (all the tests and just the waiting. It’s scary!). I could be wrong but I think it’s more of a “human nature” thing, the same way some people are comforted by going to support groups.

The prayer service isn’t until Apr. 29th. I don’t know if we will get another update then or not. The letter by Jessica Pegula was the last real update that I am aware of. Here’s a link in case you haven’t read it: https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/jessica-pegula-tennis
