Pretty sure this dude is just joking around, or trolling (or both). -
I like this signing. It was an area of need and to get a player of this caliber this late in free agency is a coup. excited to see what the defense looks like this season with McDermott calling plays and the changes made to the d line. Excited to see the offense too. I like what a Beane has done this offseason with no real cap space to speak of. It’s been a lot better offseason than I expected!

I was at the bandits 2nd championship win back in the early 90’s. I think it was their 2nd championship anyway. Whichever was the first one they won at home… but yeah, I still remember the experience to this day! The entire city went nuts. You could hear people cheering and beeping their horns when we left the arena. And the actual arena was crazy. Bandits games are a totally different experience. My sister was at the game last night. She said it was amazing.

I was mostly watching the bandits game, so I didn’t watch as closely as I normally do. But every time I flipped back to the hockey game (when the bandits game was on a commercial break) it seemed like Vegas was carrying the play. Glad to hear it was closer than the final score made it look. I look forward to watching game 2. I just hope it’s a good series, whoever wins. I’d like to see it go 7 games. There’s nothing better than a game 7 Stanley Cup final!

Vegas looked good in game one

Woo!! Now that was an ass whooping! Great game by the bandits!

Is there anything considered very Buffalo you don’t embrace?
BillsFan4 replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
But it’s not a big deal to me if people don’t put Frank’s on their wings. I really could not care less what someone puts on their wings. I just mentioned that I like franks. But I also like lots of other wing flavors. Honey mustard wings made with honey and Carolina tang sauce (that’s the secret ingredient in a lot of the honey mustard wings in Buffalo) are another favorite of mine. BBQ are too. -

Blue cheese on wings. I like my wings crispy and without any dipping sauce. Just shaken in a good wing sauce (Frank’s red hot is the best!) I also laugh at all of the drama over Blue cheese vs. Ranch. I’ll never understand why it’s such a big deal to some people. -
That’s it for the Amerks. They were eliminated tonight. Hershey is the more experienced team and it showed. That and goaltending were the difference IMO. Hershey doesn’t have a lot of young prospects with high NHL potential but they have a lot of good veteran AHL players and they sure gooned it up. So much clutching/grabbing/hacking and the refs just seem to let it all go come playoff time. That’s one thing I don’t like about the AHL. It happened to Rochester last year in the playoffs too. Oh well. It was still a good season for them.

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
BillsFan4 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. After all is said and done players only take home maybe a little over 50% of their contract amount. Then you add in all of their expenses and many high earning players don’t have the cash flow you’d think they do. I also think it’s easy for fans to say “I don’t get why he won’t take less money. He’s earned a bunch already”… But I’d be willing to bet that most fans, if faced with the choice of playing for $2M or playing for $10M would choose the $10M nine times out of ten. Not many people are willing to turn down significantly more money. It’s easy to say you would in theory, but a lot harder if actually given the chance. DHop doesn’t have many payday’s left now and has no loyalties to Buffalo. -

BillsFan4 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Hopkins is looking for the most money he can get, it’s not going to be Buffalo (or KC). If he wants to play with a great QB and chase a championship then I think Buffalo or KC is where he lands. -
Well, I guess at least this gives them the opportunity to win the championship at home on Wednesday… Id have rather them just won today though!
-
well, I wasn’t expecting that. I figured since it’s been so long that he was going the free agent route. Glad to have him signed!

No, you had nothing to do with me rooting against Vegas. I’ve been rooting against them since their 2nd season (before Eichel). I already explained why I am rooting against Eichel in a previous post and also why I chose Florida (it’s literally in the post of mine you are quoting). anyway, I’m done. You aren’t looking for actual conversation on this topic.

If you are only looking to watch replayed games on your roku, nfl+ is a viable option. https://support.nfl.com/hc/en-us/articles/5400793091612-On-which-devices-can-I-watch-games-with-NFL- I believe Live games are only available to watch on a phone or tablet. I don’t think it matters if they are in or out of market games. Afaik no live games are available to watch on anything but phone or tablet. But you can watch the replays on any supported device.

I mean, you literally said you come here to drunk s*** post. Can you blame people for thinking you are just a troll? You do kind of come off as one IMO. and rooting for the panthers has nothing to do with the NFL at all, so that has no impact on our Bills or Sabres fandom. If anything it just shows how die hard Buffalo fans we are! Rooting against Eichel and for our boy Sam Reinhart and ex-Sabre Brandon Montour. I don’t think you are one to lecture anyone on their Buffalo fandom though. You don’t even know anything about at least 1/2 the professional teams in Buffalo. There really was no great team to root for in the playoffs this year. I didn’t have any team I really wanted to see win it all. If I had to pick a team I was rooting for this year I’d say Probably the Devils, simply because Lindy Ruff is their coach. He was the Sabres coach for 16 years (1997-2013) and still is open about his love for Buffalo. He’s even said he’s still rooting for the Sabres success even though he coaches NJ. It’s not often you hear another coach say something like that. Now that they’re eliminated, it’s a lesser of 2 evils thing for me, which you would understand if you were a Buffalo fan, not just a Bills fan. i tried to explain it to you in a post I took a decent amount of time to type out and you told me you weren’t even going to read it because it was a few paragraphs long, so… 🤷♂️

Amerks win game one 5-1! They looked great!

MSG is going to be airing the Rochester Americans conference final against Hershey. Game 1 is tonight at 7pm EST on MSG.

Wait, so you mean all their tweets about “lizard people” being real, JFK still being alive and “important” Qanon drops aren’t true?? I’m crushed! 😂

Yeah I’d guess that has definitely been a factor. He did seem to get better as the season went on and is really turning it on in the playoffs. I still haven’t seen him reach his 2018/19 season and early 2019/20 season level of play yet though. 2018/19 was his true breakout year. That’s when he went from being talked about as a great young player to being talked about as a legit superstar and possibly the 2nd best player next to McDavid. 2018/19 was a pretty incredible season for him. He really just put the team on his back almost every night. Then he started out 2019/20 even better before tailing off as the season went on. (can’t remember, he may have had an injury mid season…) I still think he has it in him to get to that level again. For a while I was starting to wonder if he just wouldn’t be the same after the neck injury but now I’m starting to see more of the old Eichel.

I am sorry for your loss. I have owned pets my entire life, so I have lost quite a few over the years and it is always very difficult. I still miss all of them to this day! They all have their own personalities and traits/characteristics that make them unique, so you can never fully replace them. But my suggestion, and I don’t mean this to sound cold in any way, would be to go rescue another animal sooner than later. I know you can’t replace the cat that was lost. But it really does help fill that void they leave in your life. That’s what we did after we lost our previous 2 dogs and it was the best thing we did to help with the grief. We lost 2 dogs within about 6 months of each other back about 10 years ago and when the 2nd one passed we swore we wouldn’t get another animal for a while. We had 3 dogs and we lost the first one. Then the youngest of the 3 got cancer. We had his front leg amputated but the cancer spread anyway and he only made it about a year after the surgery. Then our oldest of the 3 had to be put down due to health issues from old age. So it was a lot in a few year span. We thought we needed time to grieve. Well, we made it about 2 weeks and the house just felt so empty that we decided we would at least just go look at the SPCA. We had no intentions of actually adopting a dog that day but then we fell in love with a dog there and brought him home shortly after that. It didn’t replace the dogs we lost but it sure helped fill that void in our hearts. It gave us something new to focus on too. Just having that new dog to take care of, who has his own cute little mannerisms and stuff. It’s amazing how quickly you fall in love with these animals.

I didn’t leave a puke emoji but I’m guessing it’s because of Eichel. At least for me it’s Eichel. Vegas does seem like a cool hockey market and I like the production value they put into games. But Eichel burned a lot of bridges in Buffalo. He asked for a trade the 2nd year after signing a max term huge money deal. That was the season before his injury, so that surgery had nothing to do with it. Eichel himself said he asked for a trade the season before the injury (on the spittin’ chicklets podcast). Then after he was traded, he goes right to Twitter and tweets “Vegas Baby! Vegas!”. No thank you to fans or anything. He did thank the fans later after facing backlash for his initial tweet but it came off as hollow by that point. The Sabres were a mess. I get that. But he knew that when he signed his max term deal. At the time of Eichel ‘s deal he said he only wanted a max term deal. That’s the only term they even negotiated. If you’re unsure about Buffalo, sign a bridge deal like Reinhart did. I could understand and respect that. Notice how no Buffalo fans are rooting against Reinhart? In fact, just the opposite. Even the way Ryan O’Reilly left many Buffalo fans still rooted for him. Same with Ullmark and Montour and many other ex-Sabres. I can’t think of another ex-Sabre besides Eichel that fans so universally dislike or boo. I’m sure it doesn’t help that Eichel was basically a douche the entire time he was here. There are all sorts of stories about what an arrogant, entitled a-hole he was. Snubbing autographs/fans/kids. Berating trainers and equipment staff for no reason. Throwing temper tantrums. Being unwilling to accept coaching. Getting a coach fired because he didn’t like him (said he wouldn’t sign an extension unless he was fired). Openly Disrespecting the captain and assistant captain here his first couple/few seasons. Gionta and Gorges have told some stories about their time here and how Eichel treated people on different podcasts. Another player (can’t remember his name right now) said on a podcast that Eichel was the worst captain/leader he’s ever been around. There’s one story (of many) Craig Rivet tells where they had this group of special need kids visiting and they were supposed to have a meet & greet with Eichel. Bu when he walked out and saw they were there he immediately turned right back around and walked away. Didn’t even greet them. A bunch of other players did. I’m honestly not bitter though. I actually think it was a win-win trade and if given the chance wouldn’t trade the pieces back that we got for Eichel. It’s just hard to root for him. We put up with his BS while he was a Sabre and even tried to defend his behavior. But now that he’s gone it’s easy to root against him. Eichel seems to be turning it on lately, and his defensive game has really grown in Vegas. I think he was a player Vegas needed too. They have a legit #1C now and he’s having himself a nice playoffs. And Buffalo got some nice pieces from that trade. Tuch alone is huge. He out-scored eichel and actually wants to be here. He’s from the area and has been a huge part of the culture change in Buffalo. Plus Krebs is developing nicely, Ostlund is looking great overseas and we still have whatever the 2nd turns into this year (not expecting much). I also think Buffalo is better off, culture wise, without Eichel. I think he needed to be on a good veteran team like Vegas. He’s a better fit there and walked into an established culture instead of having to be the one to set the culture. There’s no denying the Sabres culture improved the second Eichel was traded. It’s easy for even casual fans to see. Eichel only had 66 points this season. He had seasons in Buffalo with 82 and 77 points. In Vegas he has yet to look like the super star that we saw in Buffalo those 2 seasons. Tuch also had his best ever season this year in Buffalo and out-scored Eichel. So was that the fault of Vegas? (no) Tuch had more goals, assists and points than Eichel. In fact, both of Buffalo’s top 6 centers had more points than Eichel this season. We had 5 players - both our top 6 C’s, 2 top 6 W’s and a defenseman - with more points than Eichel. Our 3rd line C had almost as many points as Eichel. His season was nothing to brag about by any means. Vegas just has a better overall team. Buffalo is only a couple seasons into another tear down rebuild (after Eichel + Reinhart + Ullmark, etc left). With even league average goaltending they would’ve been a playoff team this year.

the young prospects are really having a coming out party this year in the AHL playoffs. Future looks bright in Buffalo!

Rumor Josh Allen break up/ reason for losing to cinci
BillsFan4 replied to Jamone's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t buy it. Josh and Britney vacationed together in Mexico 2 months after that bengals playoff loss. and here’s what she posted on social media right after the bengals loss: https://clutchpoints.com/bills-news-josh-allen-girlfriend-brittany-williams-reacts-devastating-bills-defeat-vs-bengals#:~:text=“So proud of this man,the same %26 never wavered.” that doesn’t sound like someone who just found out their BF got someone else pregnant, and I doubt they go on vacation together months later.
