  1. Here is the full story in GQ -> https://www.gq.com/story/odell-beckham-jr-interview-august-2019-cover
  2. I’m assuming this is what he’s talking about getting backlash for in his rant video.
  3. I really hope so! That would be awesome.
  4. I didn’t realize erod’s fancy stats were so good. (not sure I agree that he’s better than Kevin Labanc though)
  5. I don’t think so. I think this was it. The first season had 4 episodes, but they released them 1 at a time over the course of 4 weeks iirc. This year it looks like they just released the entire 4 episode season at once. Really hope they do have more coming, though! Just not betting on it.
  6. Watched episode 1. It was pretty good. My favorite part by far was the dinner at the end. Episode 2 - OMG that “travel bags” line by Kyle had me dying laughing. Edit - 4 episodes out so far. I put them all in the first post of the thread.
  7. I didn’t mean that I see ERod as a top 6 F right now. I was saying that I’d be good with giving him a 4yr deal at $2.5M, betting that it could look like a great depth signing in a couple years. I’d only be willing to that high on a longer deal though. If they give ERod a 1-2 year deal, the $1.5M the Sabres are offering sounds more in line. Maybe $2M on a 2yr deal (though that would take him right to UFA). I don't know that he will ever be a full time top 6 guy. But I think he has the potential to be a very good 3rd line player that can move into the top 6 when needed and give you maybe 40pts a year (which would be a bargain at $2.5M, especially in 2yrs time).
  8. this appears to be the NYJ version of “embedded”, for anyone who may be interested. Watching the 1st episode of this season now. Edit - pretty lame that they had 4-5 commercial breaks in one 25min episode. I assume it’s a choice on the NYJ part since the Bills series had no commercials at all.
  9. I feel like those 2 proposed trades are not even in the same ballpark, value wise. Ehlers would be a big get and would have me feeling good about Botterill’s ability to evaluate NHL talent (as of now his pro scouting staff is one of my biggest concerns) Roslovic and Perreault would be another lesser prospect ROR style quantity trade. It would make me feel like Botterill learned nothing from that ROR mistake and that his pro scouting staff is not very good. One trade would have me feeling good about our future and the other would have me very concerned. https://wgr550.radio.com/articles/news/sabres-exchange-arbitration-numbers-rodrigues I’d give him $2.5M on a 4yr deal. Could give Buffalo a chance to get a potential top 6 F under contract at a bargain. But I doubt Botterill does it. He seems very cautious when giving out any term in a deal. A lot of contracts have been for 1-2 years so far under him.
  10. Belichick, because he drafted Brady. There would be no Brady/Belichick dynasty otherwise. He is also responsible for hiring Josh McDaniels who has been a great match with Brady. And he’s the one who’s made it possible for Brady to play in basically the same offensive system his entire career (which IMO has had a big impact on how good Brady has become). Plus he’s a football mastermind who game plans and adjusts better than anyone. But Brady deserves his fair share of the credit. He is relentless in his pursuit of perfecting his craft and demands that his receivers do the same. He’s had a big impact on the culture in New England, and his play on the field obviously speaks for itself.
  11. The more I hear from Don Granato, the more I am starting to like him.
  12. Young player - “I’m gonna **** up every time I’m out there, but I’m still gonna ball. Stop worrying about all the damn mistakes and treating me like I’m some young rookie starter you have to worry about making a mistake. ” coach - “um... No.” young player - “silent death stare”. lol (j/k)
  13. That could have ended badly! Its a good thing Brady kind of pulled her arm like that.
  14. Here is a good interview with Coleman from when McDermott was first hired by the Bills. Safe to say he’s a big fan... https://torontosun.com/2017/01/27/qa-panthers-coleman-on-strengths-of-new-bills-coach-mcdermott/wcm/7aa17fd7-eca7-4ee7-b86c-537ec92e073f Q&A: Panthers' Coleman on strengths of new Bills coach McDermott
  15. He's finally going to reveal what Gif he sent Beane! lol
  16. Or waiving him and hoping he chooses to return to the KHL again... lol
  17. https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/blackhawks/ct-blackhawks-alex-nylander-mackenzie-entwistle-20190717-tv54jfi2unhppdlje7ifqdaf7q-story.html?outputType=amp Alex Nylander canceled a vacation to participate in Blackhawks development camp. GM Stan Bowman was impressed. After he chose not to attend Buffalo’s development camp just weeks earlier... even though buffalo also has a brand new coaching staff he should have wanted to make a good impression on. We will see how long this new, eager, coachable Alex Nylander lasts. I have a feeling his attitude may not be quite this good if he’s sent down to start the year (though I think bowman gives h8m every chance to stick). I highly doubt that he just all all the sudden “got it” overnight. I think this is just coming from a boost in motivation that follows many/most trades. I don’t want it to sound like I am rooting against the kid or anything. I just wish he’d have shown the same effort and willingness to get better here. Im still glad that botterill cashed in on Nylander though. I think he’s always going to be one of those frustrating players that you know has more to give (kind of like Vanek, though I don’t think Nylander will ever be the goal scorer Vanek was). I feel similarly about his brother in Toronto.
  18. Has the whole interview from today with McDermott and Beane been posted anywhere yet? I cant find it.
