  1. I really thought I’d finally get to see them win tonight. I felt like they’d show some fire (and pride) after that Ottawa loss. But nope. They showed up for the 1st period, then Montreal came out with a strong push in the 2nd and Buffalo collapsed like the cheap tent they are. I probably shouldn’t post right now because I am extremely aggravated after watching that loss in person. I am just so fed up with this team when they play like they don’t give a ****. I feel like at this point i’m just waiting for the inevitable total collapse and bottom 7 finish, then more sweeping changes this summer. I don’t think Botterill survives if this team totally collapses again. He brought back the same failed team as last year (minus Pominville) with a few small tweaks, has done nothing all year to help the team and somehow expects there to be different results. Meanwhile another season slips away. Eichel looked visibly frustrated almost all night. His body language was not good. This is the first time I’m actually starting to worry that he will want out. Im legitimately worried that things are going to get really ugly if buffalo has another terrible finish to the season like last year. I honestly feel bad for Krueger. No coach is going to have success with this current team. He got a crap deal in Edmonton (fired for no good reason after a 48 game lockout season), and I have a feeling he’s going to get a crap deal here too (fired because a new GM wants his own coach or something like that). I think coaching is the least of their problems at this point. We can’t keep firing coaches every time this same group of players fails. It’s time for a new mix of players. But, as much as I want to see Krueger given a real chance, I’m not how you can bring Botterill back if they finish bottom 5-7 again. anyway... done venting. Sorry. I try my best to stay positive, but it’s tough. I was there. Don’t know the exact attendance numbers but It was about 2/3rds Montreal fans.
  2. https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/toronto-maple-leafs-trade-deadline-approach-fortunes/ I read on Twitter that someone from the team disputed this or something like that, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s true. I think a lot will will depend on how they finish this season. If they completely collapse again, changes are probably pretty likely. Especially since the fan pressure will be very high (and the Pegulas have caved to fan pressure before). I just hope Krueger gets at least 1 more season, hopefully with a better roster, no matter what. I hope he isn’t shown the door along with Botterill (if Botts is fired). I don’t know if he’s the right guy or not but I want to see him get a fair chance, and I’m sick of constantly changing coaches and giving this failed roster a pass. No coach is going to have much success with this current roster.
  3. I get why these moves were made, and we have to wait to see who is hired to replace them, but still... This would make me a bit nervous if I was a Browns fan. Berry was a big part of those terrible Sashi Brown drafts before Dorsey/Wolf/Highsmith got there. Now the scouting/personnel department is right back to where it was before Dorsey, except Berry is now in charge instead of Sashi Brown. IMO This whole process makes the Haslam’s look even worse. They look like they have no clue what they’re doing. Just making decisions on a whim. I mean, It’s almost like they’re admitting that firing Sashi Brown (after going 1-31) was a mistake or something. They’re basically going back to the Sashi Brown regime even though Dorsey’s time there was much more productive than Brown’s. But let’s see who Berry replaces them with. If he truly is considered a well respected up-and-comer in NFL circles, who knows, he could end up attracting some good execs to fill those roles. No matter who he hires, the Haslam’s are going to need to show some patience for once. This kid is only 32yrs old. He’s going to make some mistakes learning on the job. I hope they actually give Berry + Stefanski a legit chance.
  4. Sorry if this was already posted. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2020/01/28/lesean-mccoy-buffalo-bills-not-honest-brandon-beane/
  5. Figured this would happen. Excited to see how he does in a more extended stay with the Amerks.
  6. And that’s why he was cut when it became clear that he wasn’t going to be the clear cut #1 RB anymore. I hold no grudge against McCoy. No issue with his time here. He was a star for the Bills for a while there. Super fun to watch. I totally understand why he wants to retire an Eagle.
  7. Buffalo will probably never be high on the list of Diva-type star players looking for fame and “big city living” (lots to do off the field and a crazy nightlife scene like in NYC or Miami, etc). But that’s ok. With this new regime in town I feel pretty good about being able to sign the guys they drafted (they don’t seem the type to want to run away from Buffalo 1st chance they get) as well as being able to attract the type of free agent players they are looking for. Also, With the type of team they want to build, IMO Buffalo actually gives them a bit of a unique advantage. They can build a team filled with players who truly want to focus on football (because they aren’t signing here for the nightlife), and it also makes it easier to build a team atmosphere where guys become closer friends by hanging out with each other more often off the field (in part because there’s not a million other things they could/would be doing, like in big cities).
  8. Oh boy. I was wondering if they’d call up Hammond or Johansson. Johansson has been the better goalie and has definitely earned it. The only reason I thought they might call up Hammond is due to his NHL experience. Well... here’s to hoping that Johansson goes on some crazy “Hamburglar” type run (like the other Amerks goalie, Andrew Hammond, did during his rookie season in Ottawa)
  9. That’s a HUGE loss. Belichick had to beg him to come out of retirement and save their o line. He is (was) the best o line coach in the NFL in my opinion. ? ?
  10. Yeah I was just coming to correct that. Meant Nick Caserio.
  11. For real? When I read the thread title I totally thought you were just messing around Yolo. ? wtf has this guy done to keep getting more and more power in the Texans organization? I thought they were were waiting for Charlie Casserly’s contract to expire in May... (edit, meant Nick Caserio)
  12. ? Hey, don’t blame me if they lose this one. I’ll be out of town! Thursday you can blame me if they lose though. I’ll be at the game Thursday.
  13. I was going to say the same thing. They Have To give them Time. Otherwise it Will fail. Again. They have the youngest GM in the league and a total rookie at HC (who’s barely even called plays). They are going to need some patience. But I’m not sure the Haslam’s have it in them. We will see, I guess. If they do actually end up firing this new crew again after 1-2 years, I honestly hope that every damn coach/exec turns down an interview w/the Browns. seriously, the haslam’s have owned the team 8 years and in that time they’ve had 7 coaches and 6 GMs.
  14. Man, it’s tough even trying to watch the pro bowl right now. All the announcers keep getting choked up and it keeps making me get all choked up again. I keep thinking about what they all went through. How scared those poor kids had to be... ?
  15. Seems to be confirmed in multiple places now.
  16. ESPN confirming that his 13yr old daughter was on board with Kobe, another parent and child headed to their basketball practice. ?
  17. I guess he always travelled by helicopter to avoid the heavy traffic in CA.
  18. That’s my hope. They said 5. I assume 1 is the pilot. Hoping he just misspoke. Edit - not that I’m wishing for the pilot’s death or anyone else’s.
  19. OMG I think they just reported that his 4 little daughters may have been with him in the helicopter, including a newborn. They reported it on espn. Did I hear it right? I pray I didn’t.
  20. I don’t blame him at all. He is supposed to be one of the most respected AGM’s in the NFL. With Haslam’s track record of soliciting advise from everyone he talks to and abruptly changing his mind on a whim + firing everyone, why would a top candidate go there until Haslam proves he’s willing to stick with a plan for more than 1-2 years? I pretty much expect the Browns to be perpetually starting over again every 2 years until they prove otherwise.
