My answer to OP's question is yes, and here is one of the biggest reasons why IMO. When you take into consideration the difference between having an average QB vs a franchise QB playing by far the most important position on an NFL football team. The impact a franchise QB has goes a long way when it comes to the overall balance of a football team IMO. How well the game is managed, how well the football is protected. How well rested the D is kept. How well the football is distributed to the Bills play makers. The unity, the stability, the list goes on. It all falls on the broad shoulders of Josh Allen... ...One Buffalo strong...

Understanding the Bills are simply a bunch of emotionally charged over-achievers making enough plays to win games is the one comment I disagree with you on Shaw. I do however think its what Bills fans have grown accustomed to over the years. Myself personally, I feel like the New Era Buffalo Bills are barely scratching the surface of their true potential. Thanks for the awesome review.

The Ford truck needs some mileage put on it ScottLaw, to break it in. Singletary out of the lineup was very noticeable in the run game despite how well Gore played. It hurt the whole O IMO. (C J Yeldon is to upright of a runner ) -

I think its easy to point out some of the bad plays a rookie Offensive tackle or guard is going to make. Same goes for a developing young QB. Sometimes the opposition deserves some credit. Awful ? Or just learning the ropes trying to protect against he best pass rushers the NFL has to offer? Every Offensive tackle in the NFL gets beat... -

The camaraderie that is building in the Bills locker room combined with all of the blossoming talent is intriguing. Next up, the defending Champions. The process takes aim... -
Myself personally, Josh Allen excites me more because he's our QB winning Bills football games. Combine that with not having a franchis QB since J K and I'm very, very excited. On the other hand Mahomes has quickly climbed to the top of the list as my favorite NFL player to watch not wearing a Bills uni. Patrick Mahomes is making throws I've never seen before...

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Taking Care of Business at MetLife

Watching a franchise QB develop is something Bills fans have not seen in many years. Watching a Bills football team develop into a playoff contender capable of going all the way is also something the Bills faithful has not had the privilege of seeing for a very long time. To make things even more interesting/ entertaining our current Buffalo Bills football team is full of likeable young players and lead by an engaging HC. The message McD sends is clear in a never ending process of improvement. Get better, or go home. Its not all about the destination. The journey is much more fun. Well said Rockinon, Well said... -

Good points Shaw, I agree with you on all of them. The last point you made on McD whom is constantly driving home the need for improvement. Learning more ways in which to achieve it. Combined with a locker room full of intelligent athletes. One more good draft is the logical assumption. The New Era Buffalo Bills football team is gearing to beat the Patriots. The process in a nutshell... -

The grit / mental toughness the Bills displayed in game 1. Showing more of the same game 2, better execution. Beating the G - men and the Jets back to back on the road impressed the hell out of me Oldtimer. MERCY! -

The Bills may already have the best D in the NFL and WR by committee results in better ball distribution IMO. I'm with you on enjoying what we are seeing now without getting to carried away with high expectations. On the other hand 28 points combined with stellar D is going to win a high percentage of the football games Buffalo plays. Combine that with the Bills are still a ways away from firing on all cylinders. Why not this season. Game 4 should be a good indicator of where we are now IMO. Thanks OP for the nice read, much appreciated. -
Pats can keep their rings; I'll take the Bills
Figster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think its nice to have a team full of players that for the most part are men of good character. A B caused one team to give up high draft picks for his services. Didn't like where he landed so did what he had to do to get released. Probably knowing all along the Pats would sign him. Myself personally, A B should be blackballed from the league IMO. To me this sets a bad example for other players. Act up, refuse to play, get rewarded. Maybe even win another Championship. Tell me how this helps other franchises in the NFL. -

Myself personally, without the living legend of Tom Brady, the Pats cheating ways/ bad character sinks the ship. I realize B B is a great coach, but when the boatload of NFL playground bully's lose Brady, arguably the best QB that every played the the game, The dynasty and everything that goes with it is over in my humble opinion Gu. No way would I ever trade the Bills or our history for anything ... -
Thursday Night Football Tampa at Car, NFL Network

The power forward/QB when called upon becomes a one man army and is by far the single hardest athlete to defend against on the grid iron IMO. Only a small handful of NFL starting signal callers have the skill set to pull it off (IMO) and Josh Allen is one of them. Cam Newton entered the NFL with the intentions of playing the game the way he always has using everything at his disposal including his own body to move the football. Much like Mike Vick. The difference I see between, Vick, Newton and Allen is above the shoulders. Josh Allen is the smartest QB in his draft class. Myself personally, this should translate into a safer style of play. Picking his spots much like Russell Wilson. Saving the best for crunch time, playoffs, Superbowl. -

Figster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Myself personally, the overall character of a football team is important to me. With that being said, I also believe in 2nd chances. Having the ability to take what would be NFL bad character players. Conforming them into the winning team concept is part of why the New England Patriots are head and shoulders above the rest of the league in my humble opinion. Ego's are huge in the NFL. When a big ego player joins the Pats they become a part of something bigger. The Patriot dynasty... (Bills > Pats)
