  1. You define die hard Bills fan OP. The Buffalo Bills need the big bodied Duke Williams on the football field period. I also wouldn't mind seeing Yeldon a little more involved with the Offense. Brian Daboll continues to take heat for the Bills inconsistencys/woes on a very young and inexperienced offensive unit that is still looking for all the right pieces. Players need to execute plays properly for the Offense to move down the field and score points successfully. Oline needs to run block and protect and skill position players need to get the job done. I make these comments in light of all the Daboll critique lately and remember seeing the same kind of comments regarding Greg Roman once upon a time. How about some continuity for a change. Thanks Shaw for another great read. Always much appreciated. Houston Texans here we come!!!
  2. On a scale from 1 - 10 giving the group of WR's that played in the AFC Championship vs Raiders a 10. I give the Bills current WR's a 4 and consider them a little below league average. Don't get me wrong, the contributions by Brown and Beasley are much appreciated. KC's WR corp by way of example is easily a 10 with arguably one of the best QB's in the league throwing to them. ( From every angle possible) The size disparity at WR vs most teams in the NFL is troubling... On a side note: Josh Allens forte is high velocity laser shots. Allens arm strength has been well documented. Josh Allens arm gives him the ability to go places on a football field most NFL QB's can't go at a higher velocity. The downside in some instances is less arc on the throws. It does not match up well with small WR's in my humble opinion.
  3. Allens high velocirty throwing style would benefit greatly with bigger targets /bigger catching radius IMO. Myself personally, all 3 requirements are a must. (Being a man of good character might also be a requirement Bills HC McD may insist on when drafting)
  4. Yes, we have all witnessed Josh call an audible. To what extent, I don't know, from a pass play to run perhaps.
  5. Even though Allen has the ability to change the play ?
  6. Hey man, I asked Josh/Santa for a playoff game for Christmas,, and he delivered. We just have to Billieve. Happy Holidays everyone! (Can someone please photo shop a santa beard on Josh that includes his WR's in the picture as little helpers)
  7. Dominate is a pretty strong word for a game the Bills were 8 yards away from taking into OT. Same can be said about the Ravens game. Slight edge is a better descriptiion IMO. Most sports analyst/commentators are in agreement. Buffalo has narrowed the gap... ...and are a force to be reckoned with... ...One Buffalo strong...
  8. The Baltimore Ravens are the front runner to win the Superbowl. From a run vs pass perspective the Ravens are more conservative then Buffalo. How do you explain that? Unlike my fellow Bills fan who probably gets tired of arguments on a daily basis. I love a good argument. ( where is the bandit when you need him) Buffalo needs to continue down the road of improvement. Of that we can both agree...
  9. One bright shiny object to go with Allen at the WR position and its very possible Buffalo beats the Ravens and Pats IMO. Thanks for another great review OP
  10. Clearly the Bills WR position could use an upgrade. Nothing against Brown or Beasley. A bigger sized legit 1 to compliment them and the Bills are golden.
  11. B B Defense is stingy enough to make a grown man cry, and you have to give them some credit...
  12. I understand, I really wish the Buffalo Bills could have added a fella like A J Green to the Bills roster before the trade deadline. Best option Buffalo has now in my humble opinion Virgil is to get the TE position more involved in the game plan. Go hard Knox...
  13. its Virgils thoughts in no particular order, and he has allot of them. Virgils a thoughtful kind of guy. He's good that way...
  14. There are no morals victory here Virgil, of that I do agree. On the other hand though I can't help but wonder If the loss puts Buffalo in better shape going into the post season. Week 17 game with the Jets is meaningless now and gives the Buffalo Bills a good opportunity to rest the starters. The loss makes this Bills even more hungry going into the playoffs IMO. Buffalo is proving it can play with some of the leagues bigggest juggernauts. Clean slate in 2 weeks fellas with a shot at the Superbowl!!! The real fun is just getting started...
  15. My point is more on winning football games now vs turning a developing young QB loose like the Browns did with Mayfield. Baker Mayfield is a very promising young QB that was turned into one of the leagues worst turnover machines the 1st half of the season. I didn't have to happen. Not IMO. On a side note : Lamar Jackson is near the bottom of the league in pass attempts and passing yardage. Amazing considering Jackson is the front runner for League MVP playing the QB position. Amazing athlete...
  16. Myself personally and with all due respect Billsfan 1972. I understand the desire to see McD/ Daboll turn Josh Allen loose, allow the gunslinger in Allen to take over, equipped with arguably the strongest arm the NFL has ever seen. Allow Josh Allen to start blasting his way into history. In my humble opinion its going to happen. In time. Young QB's are going to make mistakes. DC's in the NFL are to good. Mistakes can be limited with a more conservative game plan. The reason B B from the Patriots can plug any QB in regardless the experience and win football games is because the game plan/play calling is designed to take pressure off the QB. We all want to see Josh Allen become a top 10 QB. 300 + football games. League MVP. Meanwhile McD needs to balance the development of Allen with the needs of another 52 men on the roster. All great athletes, some who may not be with the Buffalo Bills next season. All wanting a chance to play meaningful games in the playoffs. The chance to become Champions. The most successful HC's in the NFL are the ones that can balance everything a team does with what wins football games...( IMO )
  17. Speaking of the Browns, letting Mayfield throw to see what you have despite having a boatload of talent around him caused a very talented team to miss the playoffs in my humble opinion. Chubb is one of the best RB's in the league and the Browns should have rode him into the playoffs. Out of the great QB class of 2018 its no coincidence IMO the 2 QB's taking their team to the playoffs have both been well managed, have good D's backing them up, and for the most part have not been asked to carry the team throwing the football. Myself personally, a very strategic and well balanced approach to Allens development is a big reason why Buffalo is 10 - 4 and headed to the playoffs.
  18. What an awesome review. The conservative game approach as it relates to Josh Allens development is spot on in my humble opinion. Well done Shaw
  19. I agree, It would be in the Steelers best interest to start looking for Big Bens replacement IMO. Tua perhaps
  20. Reading Tomlins mind : The Duck just killed us... ...Rudolph the red nose reindeer...
  21. Awesome, I'll try to swing in and say hi next time I'm over in that direction. When I walk in looking for a fella thats Stank_Nasty in a fitness center I should get someones atttention, hehe
  22. Corry here...Looking forward to kidding around with some of my friiends and neighbors. Much respect for the Steelers, team was dead in the water 5 games into the season. Great job by Tomlin getting them to where they are now. Even greater job by McD's D tonight. MERCY!!!
  23. Watching it at home, it was like the roar from the fans never stopped. The terrible towels were being whipped around in a frenzy like I've never seen before. Living in Steeler territory made the win extra special for me. I'm proud of Josh Allen and our Buffalo Bills football team. Well done Buffalo!
  24. Developing / acclimating a young QB into the NFL comes with many uncertainties and challenges. 31 other teams trying to throw a monkey wrench into what you are trying to accomplish. The Josh Allen learning curve is at the nucleus of the process. Growing pains are to be expected. I agree with you Shaw, Buffalo has a good coaching staff. Continuity is the key to success.
