Is Tua hype the new Darnold hype?
Figster replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All athletes benefit from superior talent / coaching and with Tua displaying the same confidence and comfort level in a Chan Gailey NFL Offense as I've seen Tua play with under Saban in just 2 games speaks volumes IMO. There is a contest and we get to see these guys compete on the biggest stage football has to offer. -
I enjoy the variation in writing styles. Virgils thoughts normally tend to bend more toward how the game is perceived from the eyes of the fan real time. The review tends to bend more towards the bigger picture. A more worldly look. Articulate and factual. Both writing styles entertaining in their own way IMO. I know both of you are also more accustomed to giving in person stadium accounts and I look forward to the time we can all enjoy them together again. Thanks fellas

It was a game of many great performers with Edmunds near the top of the list for me. Nice review OP

The same way Dan Marino made Jim Kelly and the Buffalo Bills better, I agree Tua fish sandwiches twice a year... -

Tua Tagovailoa - Future of Miami?

I think with Chan Gailey as OC and Fitzpatrick as a mentor Tua is in very good hands IMO. -
Joe Biden has been elected the 46th President
Figster replied to Numark3's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Or better yet, voted for Joe Biden because of the way the pandemic was handled. With it the realization the country would never stand united in a time of crisis with Donald Trump as president. When this message is conveyed to our teachers and professors across the country and on top of it you compromise their ability to teach safely. Compromised their ability to keep the children safe and all the grandmas and grandpas they come in contact with. Good luck winning the next election. -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - Just Another Patriots Game
Figster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Listed at 6' 3". 225 Duke Williams provides a large target in the redzone and in the small sample of what we have seen Williams is physical and is not man handled off of the football easily. His style play provides a security blanket for the QB IMO. Its the kind of receiver Allen does not have in the line up IMO. In general Josh Allens throws are coming in at a higher velocity and less arc then most QB 's in the legaue. Allen needs a TE like Kelce with K C. Duke Williams is not a TE , but he plays like one. I like Gabriel Davis allot... -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - Just Another Patriots Game

I think everyones success on O, first and foremost Josh Allen can be attributed all in big part to the addition of Diggs. On a side note: Myself personally, someone I would like to see get some play time. We finished the post season in Texas with a player starting to emerge that has been shuffled to the back of the pack with the addition of Diggs and Gabriel Davis in the draft. It had appeared Allen started building a little chemstry with Duke Williams. It would be intersting to see him on the field with Diggs and Beasley IMO. I think he brings the feel of a pass catching TE security blanket when he plays that creates matchup problems for the opposition IMO. -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - Just Another Patriots Game

Beasley has been a big difference maker in several games and seems to keep rising to the occasion know matter how big the play. 3rd and forever guess who Allen is looking for, thats right Cole Beasley. Its not just about Allen, its about good ball distribution. Josh Allen has plenty of play makers around him to help carry the load IMO. I'm a glass is half full kind of guy, yours is half empty. We both would like a fuller cup. I think If the team starts playing to its fullest potential the kool aid starts to rise for both of us. -

Diggs makes the O much harder to defend then it was last season IMO. Beasley has become practically unstoppable. Add the down hill running of Moss as a change of pace and running style of Singletary. While the D seems to have regressed a bit from last season the Offense of the Buffalo Bills has made big improvements IMO. Oline needs to get and stay healthy... -
I try to stick with the discussion at hand vs someones past history. I don't know who this is, ( I Q ) but I do know Buffalo needs to take its play to the next level. Its something I believe they are fully capable of doing.

I kinda enjoy watching someone else eat crow. I'm just saying... ...Especially If it includes chopping the head off the slithering SeaSnakes...

The way I see it beating the top tier teams requires being able to beat the teams you should beat 1st for the most part and then taking it to the next level. I agree with you. Its time for Buffalo to take it to the next level.

We definitely have enough Edmunds critique going on around here. I was happy to remove some of mine.
