  1. Generally speaking, I'm not buying into your good luck or bad luck defines who we are argument OP. A football game is not 70 minutes or 50 minutes. its 60 minutes unless overtime occurs. Regardless of what a team is doing in the last 10 minutes of a football game If they didn't play well enough in the first 50 minutes its all for not. The opposition or Buffalo in this case desrves credit for doing enough to withstand the final onslaught. The Buffalo Bills are not 7 - 3 because they are lucky in my humble opinion OP. The Arizona game is a good example. The Bills are the only team in the league to beat 4 teams with 6 or more wins. All playoff contenders at this point in the season. This equates to competitive, hard fought football games IMO. The Buffalo Bills are becoming a battle hardened football team IMO. If I was to use one word to describe why they are where they are at the top of the AFC East. HEART...
  2. The Bills have beaten two teams ranked above us. If top 10 was considered top tier I would say the Buffalo Bills are right in the thick of things IMO.
  3. I agree, Titans, If they win ( hopefully not ) in all likelhood would match up aginst a rested Steeler team in the 2nd round IMO. : ) On the other hand the Raiders have a decent chance of knocking off K C. Good, but matches us up with the Titans round 2 Interesting...
  4. The locker room might be divided now because of the move to bench Tua IMO. Most players I'm sure can understand why starting the rookie makes sense. Benching him in a game stiil within reach, not so much. As a fellow player of Tua's it says to me the coaches don't trust this guy or are not all on the same page where his development is concerned IMO.
  5. I think watching Tannehill excel with the Titans has got to sting a little. The fan base I'm sure is very anxious to move forward and probably views Fitzpatrick as a bearded road block to the future. Ownership probably feels the same. Chan Gailey in all likelihood is not a happy camper IMO. So what does Miami do going forward...
  6. I was surprised, I think watching Fitzpatrick play out the season was the best course of action. Especially with Tua coming off of an injury that could have ended his career in the NFL before it started. On the other hand I can understand the Dolphins need to evaluate Tua. (I'm not sure about the micro managing)
  7. Fair enough, I admit, Tua has shown an ability to make big plays at the college level. Pin point accuracy goes a long ways in football. In closer games however Tua's play becomes more calculated and a bit tenative IMO. From what I've seen...
  8. Are you trying to convince me Saban wasn't drilling into Tua to protect the football? Or Alabama didn't have a good run game? Tua did play it safe despite the lofty numbers IMO. Allen is a good game manager that knows when to turn it on in the 4th quarter IMO. I'm not sure why thats considered such a bad thing for a QB.
  9. Chan Gailey loves him some Fitzy because Fitzpatrick is a brilliant field general that finds ways to move the football including using his own hard head/ body as a ram rod to fire up his teamates. I don't fault Fitz for the loss. Tua was playing poorly throughout the game. Tua by nature is a game manager and can become a bit tentative until the game is on the line IMO. The Alabama D is practically a scoring machine. Combined with Sabans play smart football on O mentality. Let the D do the dirty work. It may take a little nudge to put Tua into more of aggressive mode for the NFL Perhaps this is what the Dolphins HC had in mind Fitzpatrick on the othr hand is the complete opposite. Balls to the wall on every play.
  10. It looked like Fitz was explaining to Tua how the Safety followed his eyes to make the INT. I think Tua learned something watching Fitz play against a team he was struggling against. Still, I tend to agree , It was an odd move because you want to see how a player responds to adversity IMO. Getting yanked at the the 1st sign of trouble is probably not the best way to develop a rookie QB. Better for Buffalo...
  11. Myself personally OP, I believe the last 3 games shows the direction Buffalo is going in IMO. We should have won all 3 and the loss to Arizona could have been a preview to the Superbowl IMO. If Buffalo was playing its best football I might be inclined to agree with you. We are not and still at the top of our division with basically a 2 game cushion. I expect the Buffalo Bills to continue making improvements over the next 6 games and become playoff ready with a fairly good idea of what to expect haven played the NFL's top teams through the regular season. I think every team has a team or two that doesn't match up well with them. The Titans are Buffalo's bad match up. Hopefully they get knocked out. On a good day Buffalo can beat anyone IMO.
  12. Good day of football with both the Dolphin and Patriot losses. Tua looks pedestrian, Fitzy throws the INT, I like it...
  13. Well, trading Allen would be nuts. Its not going to happen...
  14. Great observation Shaw, the slightly side armed dart throws are very accurate IMO. The throwing style is somewhat unique and most evident in the two strongest arms in the NFL IMO. (Mahomes and Allen)
  15. This is what my mind would be telling me.^^^ My heart on the other hand loves me some Josh... Love conquers all... (McBeane might be in that one percent)
  16. Hypothetically speaking, Allen for Mahomes is the only trade that might intrigue me. Especially If they threw in Kelce and Watkins as a little sugar on top. Probably still say no... ...I'm just saying...
  17. Happy Birthday N G ! Have a great day. : )
  18. If you look at the numbers Singletary is on pace to fumble more then Yeldon. Yeldon 7 fumbles in 492 rushing attempts. Singletary 4 fumbles in 250 rushing attempts. The 6 ft 1 Yeldon also has 1,448 career recieving yards. ( 60 GP ) The 5 ft 7 inch Singletary 381 recieving yards ( 22 GP ) Yeldon was drafted early in the 2nd round (36th overall) I'm not going to speculate on why it didn't pan out in Jacksonville. I had and still have high expectations for the Alabama product. My intentions are not to run the motor or Moss down. I think watching T J Yeldon get some play time might start a fire under all three of them. Yeldon will play with a big chip on his shoulder given the chance IMO. I also think the taller Yeldon provides an easier and more versatile checkdown for Allen. Better comfort level may translate to more dump offs to the RB in space IMO.
  19. I think this goes hand in hand with having T J Yeldon in the game. Even If its as more of a 3rd down specialst IMO.
  20. People are looking for guarantees. At this point there are none. Buffalo just needs to continue making strides to become a better football team. Good competition helps the process in my humble opinion.
  21. Thanks OP Buffao has a couple of players sitting on the shelf that might be able to help IMO. T J Yeldon because of his pass catching abilities out of the backfield. I think Yeldon is a good fit for the more pass oriented O IMO. Duke Williams for size that could help provide a security blanket for Allen lacking from the TE position. Big enough to help work the middle of the football field and increase redzone production IMO. Like elfs on a shelf, waiting to spread magic...
  22. Add the fact that the normally more safe security blanket TE throws are practically nonexistent. Its hard to put to much blame on a QB that is lacking proper run support or production from the TE position IMO. I know I sound like a broken record. T J Yeldon and Duke Williams need to be utilized in the Bills Offense IMO.
  23. A light knit polypropylene fabric/mask would work well for the NFL IMO. Face shields might be an option.
  24. The Steelers game will be another real good measurement of what to expect come playoffs. Win or lose lessons learned will help Buffalo going forward IMO. I eagerly await the matchup...
