  1. Current NFL helmets are like cars without bumpers. Nicely done.
  2. https://safetyairproducts.com/ This cushion catches people in free fall going 120 mph without sustaining a concussion. The collisons are also causing cumulative damage. You say tiny, fair enough, data tells us 10% to 20% reduction If both players colliding wear one. Most small test studies I've looked at showed cutting concussion numbers in half or better albeit small sample sizes.
  3. Not in its entirety. How the current NFL helmet looks with the Guardian cap over it needs to be trimmed down. Or players won't wear it. By adding padding on the exterior its possible less is needed on the interior. (speculation) The technologies need to come together, helmet makers and maker of the Guardian cap IMO.
  4. Common sense tells you the padded protection/energy absorption actually does what it was meant to at the point of impact. Not after two hard shelled exteriors collide. If you can't understand this then I'm wasting my time. https://www.sportsdestinations.com/sports/football/guardian-caps-youth-football-programs-expected-34222 Maybe this will help When you think about the way a concussion happens, it's because your brain is floating inside your skull, and when you get hit or you experience a whiplash, it bounces around inside your skull," added Mel Haupt, Park's athletic trainer. "So, if we can add something on top of it to absorb some of that force, less force is going to get transmitted through the helmet, through your skull, and then into your brain.”
  5. You left a part out An adaptation by Bailey et al. examined head impact severity from two helmets colliding at various angles replicative of gameplay with various helmet model and soft-shell padding combinations [14]. They observed an average reduction in head impact severity by 9% compared to helmets not equipped with the Guardian Cap, and upwards of 20% when both helmets had a Guardian Cap [14]. From these early findings, it is important for researchers to consider both the helmet’s location of impact in addition to potential factors in gameplay scenarios that may influence the efficacy of soft-shell padding. https://academic.oup.com/acn/article-abstract/38/5/823/7199416?redirectedFrom=fulltext https://physicianresources.baptisthealth.net/news/nfl-s-new-guardian-caps-to-prevent-head-injuries-the-takeaways-for-the-athlete-in-all-of-us Myself personally, the Guardian cap and current top helmet makers need to come together and build a more trimmed down version. I'm not sure the same amount of interior protection is needed when more is provided on the exterior of the helmet. (speculation) Make it look good and not add extra weight players will wear it IMO.
  6. Data would show they help more when everyone wears one. Further reducing the helmet to helmet impact. Maybe the game of football doesn't get new rule changes making it very hard for defenders to make a tackle because their fool head is in between two tackling arms. How many other kinds of injuries would it prevent? QB's hand or arm coming down on a helmet can cause injury. Guardian cap helps prevent this from happening. Nicely put red
  7. Some players like Tua for instance are more vulnerable because of the cumulative damage already done. Something the Guardian cap also helps reduce and why I'm happy to see many football programs implementing the protection to its players at an early age.
  8. Thanks for the explanation
  9. Nervous energy is driving me nuts
  10. By speaking the truth? How can we not recognize both QB's ? If there was ever a better time for co MVP's this is it IMO. Naturally my fav is Josh, but lamar Jackson is playing the best football of his career in the NFL.
  11. How about breaking his hand on J K?
  12. They say football is just a game, but when I read comments like the one you just replied to its obvious how much a football team can mean to a person. Or to a city like LA that could really use a glimmer of hope right about now. Go Rams!!!! May we meet again in the Superbowl!!! Go Bills!!!
  13. Happy Birthday you mosquito sized ***** head!
  14. Been one of my favorite reads for years. The Bronco's have a very talented HC/ Offensive guru in Sean Payton. Won a championship. Knows how its done. Denver D that led the league in sacks. Franchise rookie albeit signal caller in Bo Nix. The kind of team you know just enough of to scare the dickens out of you . The Bronco's scared me. 10 to 7 at the half increased my anxiety. So I'm feeling you Bills fans live at the stadium. The Buffalo Bills on the other hand. Business as usual. Joe Brady comes back to school his once upon a time HC and boss. McD's D sends Payton and the Bronco's packing with only 7 points to show for itself. MERCY!!!! Thanks OP, much appreciated. Go Bills!!!!
  15. Lived there, Pheonix is overrated, poor Fitzy can't step outside without jumping in the swimming pool. Besides, Fitz loves the Buffalo Bills and has enough fur on him to run naked in the snow. Broadcasting has very little challenge and Fitzy is probably bored as hell with it. (I'm just saying)
  16. Tua overall has a winning record in the NFL and came very close to beating Buffalo in our last game vs Fins. McDaniels and Tua are joined at the hip much like Fitz and Gailey gone fishing. Speaking of Fitz OP, I still billieve the bearded one would make a brilliant OC and Fitzy's leadership abilities, football brain and knowledge of the Gailey O is being wasted in broadcasting. Myself personally, players like Tua, and even more so Damar Hamlin. The heart and courage they display for the love of the game of football is truly inspirational.
  17. Sean Payton is a very talented Offensive guru to coach under IMO. ( scary game coming up peeps ) Now serving under McD,so two very successful HC coaches in the NFL, Gurus on both sides of the football. Joe Brady likes to run the football. Distributes the ball out very well to all the play makers. It takes the right players to succeed. A complimentary football team on both sides of the football. Inept is what I would call Ken Dorsey. Luckily McBeane thought differently, Brady fit the bills ; )
  18. Joe Brady is a smart guy that can give any team he goes an offensive play book and mind that will succeed in the NFL IMO. Drafting the future franchise QB and developing him may appeal to Brady. Hopefully the Pats don't get any bright ideas because they have their franchise QB in place already. Yikes, we knew this was coming...
  19. I'll take it, Allen and Coleman have developed good chemistry. Myself personally, Keon Coleman will excel better in the short to intermediate pass range and has a skill set much like a Stevie Johnson. Allens mid range cannon shots on a rope put the ball up their higher where only Keon can reach them. My two cents...
  20. Seems fitting Rodgers plays most of the game and gets sidelined with the Jets scoreless. Gets to watch Tyrod Taylor score the only 2 T D's Nicely done T Mobile
  21. Gets my vote for favorite thread of the year.
  22. I have a miniature Bills helmet I balance on the tip of a fake candle for good luck. By the time I seen the candle on the turf with the helmet flipped upside down, it was game over. Earthquake or something, I swear it wasn't me ...😜
  23. Joe Brady must be so happy with how well Amari Cooper played vs the Chiefs. Here I was wishing we had somehow landed D Hop. Not anymore. Love Cooper's work ethic, his intelligence, most of all how quickly Amari developed good chemistry on the long ball from Josh Allen. Coleman is only going to get better, Kincaid is borderline elite. Same can probably be said about Cook. Shakir has shown elite play all season. Josh is about as elite as it gets at the QB position. Hard to not start thinking Superbowl peeps...
  24. Simple fix, add missed or wrong calls to the red flag challenge. Number of uses allowed stays the same. Perhaps when officials start getting put on the hot seat for bad officiating it will change. The important thing is to get the game called correctly. Especially on plays that can decide the outcome of the game. Bengals had 3 penalties that should have been called vs Ravens on the last play of the game. THREE Awwwww come on man
