I’m more than ok with OBJ even though he’s a attention ***** diva… def need more than what they currently have…. Just an additional draft pick isn’t enough.

    So was TO right?

I enjoyed having TO in Buffalo...

...more importantly...OBJ attracts attention on the field...

    ...Happy Diggs...

Yea I don't buy you either win it all or everything is failure. Of course the target should be winning it all. But it takes so much coming together to produce a Superbowl Champion. Including lady luck shining on you at key moments.

    I get that @GunnerBill

Josh Allen is an elite QB and while I realize how much goes into winning a Championship. I think its imperative the Buffalo Bills do everything possible known to mankind to win a Championship now while Josh Allen is in his prime IMO. Playoffs takes you up aginst the best O gurus in the league by way of coaching. Bills OC Ken Dorsey might be the weak link IMO.

Hopefully GM Beane is taking this under consideration...

Seems odd to do with a player who is disowning the Bills to go become member of Jerry Jones flock as some are claiming.

Bills are absorbing more of the cost to make him easier to trade?

Its doubtful Josh Allen would let that happen IMO.

    That got my attention.

This one might mean a slightly bigger FA move is coming.

I've been thinking OBJ all along because its something Von Miller wants. Takes care of upgrading 2WR. Helps Josh Allen and now Diggs can also benefit with OBJ on the field. Diggs wants a Championship at all cost.

Whatever is in the works, I love what these guys are doing to help the team.

Probably can't play anymore but I could see him as a QB coach to start and then an OC down the line.

Fitzpatrick has had plenty of time for his hip to heal.  Playing as backup to Josh Allen its unlikely Fitz even plays with the exception of mop up IMO.  Fitz's reason for not wanting to backup Allen in the past has more to do with Allens health then his own. Fitz is afraid he will jinx Josh Allen. Myself personally, Fitzpatricks knowledge of reading D's and as a student of the game can help keep Allen safe and productive real time in a football game.

You make a good point however in not knowing as a fan of Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bills where he's at in life both physically and mentally.

    Thanks Gregg

  6. I'm sure everyone knows by now who I want for Bills backup QB. Chan Gailey quit coaching completely in the NFL because he couldn't have Ryan Fitzpatrick running the Gailey Offense. If you want added innovation/ wrinkles to the Bills O, Fitzpatrick can help. If you want a student of the game that can assist Josh Allen real time against the oppositions D, Fitzpatrick can be that bearded guy. If you want a Bills backup QB that can step in and win when needed. Fitzpatrick has won many football games in the NFL. Last, but not least. If you want a man that really loves the city of Buffalo and loves Josh Allen, Ryan Fitzpatrick Fits the Bills.

    Thanks OP

itd be fine for a year. if diggs is really that far gone (i dont think he is), bringing in a player hes already lobbied for wouldnt be the tipping point on it and were already going there

    I agree,

I think Bills GM Beane is going after the best Offensive FA available to help Allen IMO.

I’m not overly concerned with where the player is picked, what bothers me is when you study and target a position and take the wrong guy. It’s an error in scouting imo. Wood over Unger, Williams over McKinnie, Ford over Elgton Jenkins, Zay Jones over Cooper Kupp, Sammy Watkins over OBJ, Evans etc. That type of thing. All pro guys at a position you literally just used a draft pick on.

    I agree,

Brandon Beane has done a good job getting Buffalo to where they are now IMO. Revamping the Oline will be a challenge. Myself personally, I don't care how its done. As long as it gets done and gives Allen better protection.

Yes and they acquired this pick by trading away a certain future first ballot HOF Left tackle, who was the best player on the team.

The Bills never really cared a whole hell of alot about blocking.

    Notorious almost.

not sure what the guys deal is or the situation that had guys after him but she was right for her actions. he gets that gun and it may have gotten way worse for everyone.

moral is: don't help anyone. its getting taught repeatedly in this society.

To my eye, Addison and JSN are MUCH better than Hyatt.  Both are technicians in route running, gaining separation and securing passes.  Hyatt looks like a track star with a limited route tree and questionable hands. Hyatt seemed to be running wide open on 90% of his targets.

Flowers looks to be a comparable talent to addison and JSN-  maybe not as refined but a better athlete.

johnston, addison, JSN and Flowers look to be the WRs worth a look in rd 1 of this draft.

Hyatt might be drafted rd 1 but he doesn’t have the WR skills (other than speed) to warrant the selection imo.  I see a lot of comparisons to a healthy Will Fuller…..but I don’t see that. I thought Fuller had much better ball skills and was a better route runner.

it looks like there will be a few decent WR options in rd 2-4.  I love Jayden Reed and he’d be an absolute steal in rd 3 (but likely won’t be there for us there).  Boutte, Tillman, Washington, Tyler, Rice, Palmer,  Mims, Hutchinson, wicks, Wilson, Jarrett, nacua, Mingo, Perry, Jones, Green.

If the top 4 WRs are gone, I hope we can trade down.  If Hyatt is the pick, so be it, I just don’t know if he’s ever going to be more than an MVS type (minus the height and wingspan).    Don’t reach on WR.  There’s some decent mid rd value value imo.   I’d rather draft Wright/Mauch or another OL rather than reach on WR

Hyatt has a 149.0 QB rating when targeted so in a QB's eyes he looks pretty damn good.

This is actually good for us. Addison would be a perfect compliment to Diggs and he might fall a little now. Don’t let the combine eliminate the fact that addisons game tape is elite and he’s one of the best receivers in the draft.

My guy right here to keep them Safety's back and open up Diggs.

By the way, Tottenham is not covered because it’s NEW. Their old stadium (White Hart Lane) had covered seats. All English soccer stadiums have covered seats….even the really old rundown ones. It’s been a standard there for most of the past century. That’s most definitely NOT the standard for NFL stadiums.

    Just saying.

The reason I brought Tottenham into the discussion is because its one of Populous's architectural crown jewels IMO. Also the type cable suspension used for the partial roof/ over hang is somewhat unique in design. It was brought into the discussion as a compliment to Populous. So why make it into something its not.

Did you know one of the hold ups on this project currently has to do with Buffalo trying to make sure as much of the construction as possible is done by local contractors?

Page down one to watch amazing footage of another Stadium designed by Populous (Tottenham) over hang in high winds.

I presented the same question. Nobody had an aswer for that but sure got a solid share of eyerolls and thumbs down from the dome heads.

People can have a change of heart when you see the kind of weather that can cancel a home game.

    Or worse...

  15. 10 minutes ago, SoCal Deek said:

The shape you're describing would better be described as a 'dome'....even if that word is forbidden on here. I guarantee they have studied it. The lake effect winds are not going to be a surprise to the designers. They were probably told about them at the very first meeting. Remember, Popolous is a design firm that specializes in sports venue design. Their staff is very versed in all things, sports. The notorious Rich Stadium conditions are well known to anyone who watches football, let alone these specialized experts.

Lol, hey man, I was trying to avoid mentioning the D word, and only used it once.

Populous has a great reputation. Absolutely. Buffalo and Orchard Park on the other hand has its own reputation as having the worst weather in the NFL. Somewhat unique conditions. 4 foot of snow adds up fast at 20 lbs a cubic foot.
