Start Josh Allen (healthy) or Matt Barkley?
Figster replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen could actually learn something watching Barkley in my humble opinion. If I'm Daboll or McD, after a performance like that Barkley is my starter until Allen is capable of performing at a higher level in the passing game. -
I really like our Buffalo Bills coaching staff. I can't even remember the last time the Bills O looked this good in the passing game. Zay what?

I didn't think anything could get me very excited the rest of the season without Allen, but Barkley puts a whole new spin on the QB position that I did not see coming. Nice recovery Mc Beane...

Matt Barkley Will Be the Bills' Starter vs. the NYJ
Figster replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo needs a good backup, who knows, Matt Barkley might be that guy. -
The Bills have the youngest team in the NFL with rookies now when Allen returns at the 2 most important positions on O and D. I think its easy to say the team is poorly coached when you look at the results so far. On the other hand I think its easy to understand why youth and lack of experience on a whole, especially at key positions, is resulting in poor execution IMO.

Ugly O play is a result of poor decision making by the Bills GM in regards to the Oline and QB position in my opinion. We have the cheapest Oline in the NFL and its not a very intelligent way to build a football team. Better Oline play and perhaps McCarron could show what kind of player he is without getting injured. Could a young HC with enough on his plate already do more? I suppose, but how about the Bills GM doing the job he is supposed to be doing.

If I'm the Pegulas and someone has to go its clearly Beane in my humble opinion. Sure, I'm grateful for Allen although the Pegula's probably had everything to do with it. I'm not grateful for the lack of veteran leadership or Oline protection Beane has provided for a rookie that wasn't even supposed to be playing If it wasn't for the GM's screw ups to begin with IMO. Shaw do you honestly think there is a coach in the league thats going to win football games with Peterman behind center? I don't...

Before the season even started the Bills ranked last in the NFL in what ESPN called QB confidence rating and this was while A J McCarron was still in Buffalo. Needless to say experience matters at the QB position. Thanks OP for the great read.

If Anderson is sidelined due to injury......

Trade something/ someone to the Raiders for A J McCarron back and the problem is solved IMO. Option two, Chad Kelly... -
Why not bring Chad Kelly in for a visit?

You mean the wood that got broke in half somehow?

In other words McCarron didn't come to Buffalo to be a backup to Peterman. I can't say as I blame him. I'm not sure what kind of spin Beane may have put on the situation, but coaches coach, GM's send players packing. -
No better way to divide and weaken the country even more from a Terrorist groups perspective IMO.

Pegula's were and in all likelyhood still are very high on Josh Allen so its not like McBeanes are in this alone IMO. I know I still am... -

Giving a rookie more then he can handle is a recipe for disaster in my humble opinion. Peterman flat out failed miserably, and Anderson is just learning the play book. So with all due respect Shaw I don't see how adding more plays when Buffalo isn't executing the ones they already have properly helps matters IMO. -

The best case scenario is for Anderson to play well enough for Josh Allen to learn something. I do think the break is well timed and will only add to Allen's fire and deep desire to succeed in the NFL. I love this kid. From an entertainment standpoint without Allen, I understand. -

Myself personally Shaw, the D has played fairly well , but in this league without an Offense that can control the clock to keep the oppositions high powered O off the field or match the intensity/ points scored its all for not. QB's like A Luck are going to put you into a shoot out. On the other hand when you look at the cards Daboll has been dealt at the QP position in Peterman, the rookie Allen, now a rusty, perhaps over the hill veteran in Anderson is easy to understand why the O has struggled as a unit in my humble opinion. The Bills GM worries me. -

Putting together the spectacular collection of talent takes time. Rookies also take time developing. Players like White, Edmunds and Allen are a good start IMO. -

Despite being a rookie that has a long way to go losing Josh Allen really took the air out of the team and the Bills fan base IMO. Thanks for the good read Shaw, Virgil, much appreciated fellas.
