  1. Mental gymnastics. The world is waking up to the frog boiling in the pot.
  2. "Nooooo Trump didn't mean to use Nazi dogwhistles for the 90000th time, it was actually this Turkish guy who didn't know any better!" "Nooooo, look at this strategically cropped picture of Biden with a red background he's a fascist nooooooo" Mental gymnastics! Mental illness is sad.
  3. In which case the meme doesn’t make any sense Also I’m a Catholic
  4. Because they come from two different lines in the budget. Glad someone with a baseline understanding of how government works could clear that up for you.
  5. Sounds very libertarian to me and reinforces my belief that most Republicans would send drag queens to internment camps if they could.
  6. This ideology is as out of date as communism. It cannot work in a world of 7 billion people connected by a tap away. Shopping isn't as simple as going to the general store for a sack of beans anymore. Every single item in our stores has a laundry list of chemicals and ingredients that have to be carefully regulated for our safety. We know how companies will happily obliterate the environment or sell us goods laced with blatantly dangerous chemicals (Johnson & Johnson, 3M Forever Chemicals, etc.).
  7. It's a start, but the best solution is creating dense, vibrant, urban communities that are both walkable and offer a wide range of public transit options to remove car dependency. 'Tis my career.
  8. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cmj66r4lvzzo You would think that both sides of the political aisle would want to introduce policy to massively increase the supply of housing in the U.S., but they don't. Republicans are sworn to protect housing values, and Democrats are sworn to misguided attempts at preserving "neighborhood character" and over-permitting (CEQR, for one).
  9. This actually correct, but it's not Biden's fault. It is up to the individual states and municipalities to establish a proper network of electrical infrastructure through permit reform. Texas, for all its faults, has been absolutely stellar at this.
  10. Libertarians are the only people more brain-damaged than MAGAs so this tracks.
  11. No, I'm talking more EFFICIENT farming that doesn't rely on massive subsidies. https://cropwatch.unl.edu/2019/taking-closer-look-most-efficient-farms
  12. We don't operate in a zero-sum game. We can do more than one thing at once. Our immigration system is broken. It takes thousands of dollars and YEARS to immigrate. That is unacceptable. If we want to compete with China, we need more workers, more families, and so forth. The world birth rates are all declining, and so it will fall on immigration to help us keep up. Other countries are having the same exact problem as us, albeit with different ethnic groups. Millions across the globe want a better life. Who are we to deny them? So, that is what this "dumb sh!t pandering ret@rded leftist" believes. Yes, our immigration system needs reform, but mass witch hunts and round ups are completely unacceptable means of doing it.
  13. You definitely don’t write down my posts then, because I’ve posted here before how much I can’t stand Omar. She’s a blight on the Democratic Party. Here’s another example, though I admit it’s not quite the same topic. Here in WNY we’re trying to expand the Metro transit line. In opposition, a group has formed desperate to ban the expansion. One of their reasons is “criminals will come into the suburbs.” What do you think “criminals” means?? I said if they judge others on their race, they’re racist. This isn’t a difficult concept.
  14. Just tune into local AM conservative talk radio if you need an example Depends on if they’re judging the immigrants on their race, as I believe many opponents of immigration do. They could simply be afraid of job loss or some other reason. I’ll note not to use sarcastic comments in threads that you’re a part of since you clearly cannot comprehend it
  15. Using ungodly amounts of heavily subsidized water instead of more efficient irrigation techniques, using horribly polluting nitrogen fertilizer (poor soil management), and generally being absurdly inefficient and polluting.
  16. Which take is this I’m defending again? I fully believe most of the hysteria surrounding the southern border is driven by racism. It’s has always been so. That’s why I get angry at policies like what Trump proposes because it SOLVES NOTHING and ultimately hurts the country.
  17. Why would you assume that? It’s just an example of a GMO I support. I am against the farmers who are protesting because I believe they’re a bunch of rent seekers who require massive subsidies to support their archaic ways.
  18. You kidding? I love GMOs. For example, I love golden rice and think it’s the future of fighting world hunger.
  19. Since no one has explained to me as of yet, why don’t you take a stab at explaining how this policy will be carried out? They gave me a couple lovely pieces of paper to prove it
  20. Oh I appreciate the crops, I don’t appreciate them fighting standards that will make crops more sustainable and environmentally friendly
