  1. NEED ONE or more:

    Bills (WIN/tie)

    or

    Pitt @ Balt (Pitt loss/tie)

    or

    Jags @ TN (Jag loss/tie)

    or

    Texans @ Colts (Tie)

Above are the scenarios for the Bills to clinch. I made a little website for everyone to discuss. Let the wailing and gnashing of teeth for week 18 begin!

GO BILLS, W and not worry about this junk!

Scenarios for other teams to clinch:

    PITT gets 7 seed with:

    1) PIT win + IND-HOU tie

    2) PIT win + BUF loss

    3) PIT win + JAX loss/tie

    4) PIT tie + IND-HOU do not tie + JAX loss

    5) (even w PIT loss) IND- HOU do not tie + JAX loss + DEN win

    COLTS get in with:

    -WIN & IN

-There is also no scenario in which the Colts make the playoffs with a loss.

The Colts could make the playoffs with a tie and:

-A Jaguars loss (win AFC South)

-A Steelers loss (win AFC No. 7 seed due to head-to-head tiebreaker with Texans)

A nice breakdown for those asking.

If KC holds on here we would only need one of the Steelers or Jags to lose OR a Houston/Indy tie to get in.

Agreed. Shut down the thread, all of this wailing and gnashing of teeth is a waste of time.

Start a new thread about those three games for week 18 and call it a night. (Which I think I will start)

Definitely wouldn't rule out the Titans getting a meaningless win to ***** with a division opponent.

    Agreed.

Titans would be motivated to eliminate the Jags

Also not relevant but interesting. The 1999 Jags went 14-2 in the regular season and loss to the Titans in playoffs. The Jags were undefeated, only to lose to Tennessee 3 times (regular season and the playoff loss)

Does just one of the two happening (Chiefs OR Seahawks winning) help us for next weeks odds, or was it all or nothing today?

Literally might be playing for the 2 seed or missing the playoffs next week. Brutal.

no, teams can lose (or tie) next week too, for the Bills to qualify.

I don't feel like wading through this entire thread to see which way the wind is blowing, so I'll just ask: are you, Bills fan, rooting for the Chiefs or the Bengals?

I'm rooting for the Bengals. My logic: I don't want the Bills weasling into the playoffs as a six seed, but if the Bengals win, the #2 seed is just a win over the Dolphins away.

weasel? you get in the playoffs however you can take it, the sooner the better
