McD and crew did their research on the travel protocol for heading over to London -- and reached out to teams who had made multiple trips over there for advice. The consensus was that Thursday evening travel was the best prescribed day/time for departure. What was lost in this equation was that historically BOTH teams had to travel over there during the same week -- and historically we have seen sloppy play in these games due to the change in typical weekly preparation by BOTH teams. In this case -- and for the first time ever -- the Bills were facing an opponent who did not have to endure the same turmoil they did during the days leading up to the game. As we saw this turned out to be a HEAVY advantage for the Jags -- and I doubt that the NFL will try this again given the unfair competitive imbalance that it clearly presented. The "experiment" failed.

You are right that the play calling and execution left a great deal to be desired. And I certainly was (am) not happy with Dorsey in particular. Yes, the Jags clearly looked sharper -- had FAR fewer missed tackles and significantly better 3rd down conversion rates. But I submit to you that this was more of a by-product of the advantage in weekly preparation, rest, etc. that the Jags experienced more so than any commentary on the quality of coaching. In fact, given the time of possession domination, etc., the fact that the Bills were only down 11-7 heading into the 4th quarter may say a thing or two about the quality of the Bills coaching.

I'm not going to read the other 16 pages. This is an excellent take on what happened. Lock the thread and PIN this post.

    Slide?

You wont get an argument from me LOL.

Im just trying to figure out/rationalize why JA would try to jump on that play.

Also on another note, Josh's stats since KC (really after 2nd half of GB) is disturbing. The only thing is with the injury he had, I dont want to give him a pass necessarily, but at the same time, not condemn him either for the second half of the season since he had the injury.

I actually don't put tonight on dorsey at all. That draw call was AWFUL but as for the whole night, he can't make josh see the field. 2 of joshs picks the TEs were wide open. Dorsey established a run game tonight. Josh had open recievers, he bailed out of the pocket instantly all night. 3 HORRIBLE picks, and HORRIBLE fumble had nothing to do with dorsey tonight.

Another good playcall was that pass to James Cook, IF Allen leads his pass just a little bit, its a TD

    We have a problem.

I dont feel like researching or finding "proof", but I want to say I've heard players say that when they are hit while in the air it doesnt "hurt" like it would if they were on the ground. (Does that make sense, hopefully? I think it does). Again I could be completely wrong, but I want to say I've heard that.

Also, Im not trying to defend his actions.

  5. It's stupid to allow college students with zero ties to the community or understanding of what needs that town has to vote in elections, especially local elections. I don't care if it means blue students effecting a red community or the opposite, its not fair to the citizens of that town. Most students in college live in a campus bubble, and have zero understanding what is happening in that community.

Torrence provided a huge upgrade at UF last yr and unlike many players at UF on the OL and DL that i think have been overvalued in drafts, Torrence was probably right on target with his 1st round grade.   I think if healthy he'll be a pretty solid player if not exceptional and i think that the right side of the OL for Allen is most important to the success of the offense.  If they hold their own this offense will be unstoppable.

So I dont have specific examples, but this is more of my feelings, but it seems there are these OL in the draft who had amazing college careers and by accounts of most fans of football think/say that they will be solid 10 yr players and yet they go late first or second round that by the end of their careers in the "redraft articles" will have that player going in like the top 20.

I’d be surprised if that’s correct.
My recollection is it was only that single game against the Broncos. If you have any photo evidence or links regarding that same ugly helmet worn in Oilers contest, please share.

I think you quoted the wrong person, but here is a picture after doing a quick google search.

Also, for the sake of the conversation, I think the helmet looks way better with the white uniform.

After all the ***** posting Einstein has done in this thread I can't tell anymore, so I gotta ask: are you serious?

Yes, I was being serious. I mean it's been at least been 5 years or more since Ive read it. Technically, I have "bought" a newspaper but it was either for the coupons or a couple of times I bought it cause of the headline or for the heck of it. Then I'd look at it for 5 minutes and think that was a waste of money. Anything thing I've "read", had zero effect on me. The last time I had any care of what is in the newspaper was because my name was is in it when I played high school athletics (which is ~20 years ago)
