Great points and I agree 110% To note, nothing that I do in reaction to them losing would scare her or anyone. I mean I'm frustrated and not happy with the outcome (and I get frustrated at myself internally for caring too much) but nothing that scare her or make her uncomfortable. Additionally, she has never even heard me cuss/say a bad word. 🙂

Thanks for the detailed response. If it sounds like two people, it might be my own internal battle with how I should proceed following the Bills. As far as my daughter, I think maybe what is my concern is her developing the same type of feelings I have when it comes to the Bills (like overly caring/bothered by the outcomes of their games).

I dont know how the players would have any interest in playing. You would have to give some type of really great reward to get them motivated then you would also have the risk of getting injured for third place.

Nice. For the Yankees, it was really just a time thing for me more then anything else. I've seen them win all of their other WS since 96 so winning/losing anymore with them doesn't bother me. It was the time.

So I didn't get NFL Sunday ticket this year for the first time in my adult life. I did not watch NFL games other then the Bills this year. I don't think I can stop being a Bills fan, but I'm going to stop watching (live) football next year. No fantasy as well. Maybe watch highlights but at this point I'm a grown man trying to live my life (with all the normal life things like so many others: wife, kid, a job, etc). I don't need to keep watching stuff that doesn't bring joy and only anguish.(regular season wins are meaningless winning is expected and losses are catastrophic for trying to get the all elusive #1 seed). Being good but coming short I think is worse then the drought. But at the end of the day, even if I were a Patriots or Chiefs fan, how is my life any different today? I won't stop being a fan but I use to be a huge Yankees fan and you know what supposedly they went to the World Series this year... I didn't watcha single inning of Yankees baseball all year.

Honest question. I would love for her to care about the Bills and actually have someone to enjoy games with (actually it's just to suffer with if we are being honest). My wife hates football and I'll be honest, it bothers me that she could care less about the Bills. I feel that I am just being selfish. I definitely don't want to force her into it. If she does on her own, then it's ok. However I think her life would be better off if she doesn't. This season was the first time I didn't subscribe to NFL Sunday ticket. I'm trying to move on with life and the Bills have consumed so much of my life. I did not watch any other NFL games this season other then the Bills. I believe my goal is stop watching the Bills as well. I guess my real question is I don't want to force myself on her deciding if she is going to like the Bills or not. Any advice would be appreciated. I wish I didn't care and I honestly don't want my daughter to go through life like I have.

Perhaps its so pre snap in huddle personal that the Bills see the Ravens put on when Reggie goes in game. Then they take advantage of something they saw by putting him at WR. With the ball going to take advantage of whatever the perceived mismatch is.

If they dont call holding and its 3rd and short, it could have been a pick 6 TD for the Ravens on the 3rd down play. It would have been a totally different game.

So that holding call on previous series was crap, but with that TD, everything is back on track to where it should be. If the Bills scored a TD on the previous drive, it's likely that the Von Fumble Scoop never occurs. EDIT: what I'm trying to say, you cant assume it would be 21-7 if they dont call holding. (hopefully that makes sense)

When I was in college in Carolina, I was so confused when everyone was saying USC and they meant South Carolina. Even in East TN, they are always referred to as South Carolina or the GameC ocks (dont know if g-c is considered a bad word on the filter)
