  1. Holy crap.Do you expect ANYTHING out of ANY draft pick, or just Ragging it??
  2. And that would be ok. For a second round throwback...dont ya agree? He is an upgrade over Brown. He dont need to be the jewel of the D. Just play his role. Idt the star of the D is on our team yet. Hopefully a stud Wlb😉
  3. Tit for Tat. I thought he looked like a rookie coming off an injury, making a switch of position and looked fine.A move back to a natural fit, and a clean bill of health (since who knows when, not even himself. ..) and an energetic staff, I can see him fit in perfectly.and be utilized properly.
  4. It was. He did. Not at his natural position mind you, but he did.7 sacks a year, dominate vs the run, and heart & hustle. Thats what I expect realistically from him every year moving forward. To think he had a bum shoulder all these years, and still produced at a high level, should be encouraging to us fans.Natural scheme fit, an ex-marine coach, and the luxery of dependable help/support, the kid looks the part. I expect him to mature fast. Just what I always wanted out of the overall #19 pick of the draft. Say what you want, but either Rex and Whaley,Whaley and Rex, or both...got that draft right.I expect Washington to have more sacks than Shaq btw..
  5. Very slow? Gimme a break. 4.62 at his pro day. 4.72 at the combine. Thats not very slow. Do your homework.compare times of 20 of your favorite lbers of all time. Get back to me....
  6. Lol...gotcha. I can see a very good year for the boys up front. I was just kinda being funny...but I Do, however, wonder if thats ever happened. Four DL from the same team, same year, making the pro bowl. If not, I'd like to make it happen👍
  7. Love your optimism, but yoy lost me when you said it wasn't out of the realm of possibility that all 4 DL make the pro bowl. Has that EVER happened? Alot of talent across the league to assume our 4 are the best 4 lol
  8. Actually, it is what Rex wanted. I recall the comment he made about actually having a dedicated, selfless guy to set the edge. It was a dig at Mario for quitting on the team. Regardless, thats what he does, and I expect it to continue in the pro's😉
  9. Re-signing McKelvin? Did I miss something?
  10. And that was/is his game. Set the edge, make sure tackles, and clean up the mess made from chaos inflicted by the pass rush. Thats EXACTLY what he was drafted for. So, 7-8 sacks from just setting the edge will be a GOOD thing!
  11. Its been stated in other threads that he is slow, and a "throwback" type player. Just to clear it up, his speed, while not blazing, is on par with many other good lbers. And to be deemed useless because he considers himself a "throwback" is laughable! Isn't that a GOOD thing? Fact is, he's a beast. A tackling machine, with a nasty streak, high motor, and selflessness that only throwbacks have. Coupled with natural instincts, and an ability to scrape and shed blockers, tells me he will never be as bad as some claim he will. Looking forward to seeing him lay out ballcarriers this year, and in future years. Go Bills!
  12. Who reputes him as being slow? I agree he's not blazing fast, but that dont make him slow by any stretch. And , being passed on by every team is ridiculous. 274 others were passed on also..many have had/will have very nice careers. Admit it, you just dont personally like the guy so you take the so-called pundits viewpoint to make your case. Fact is, he is NOT the first to call himself a "throwback". The guy is a beast. We should give him a few games before we decide he sucks. He was reported as flying all over the field last year before the injury...or did those reports escape you? At the very least, he's better than Brown. And for a second round pick, I can certainly live with that
  13. Then again....Mite's on a chickens ass. If he has a Heisman type year, dollar signs are gonna pop up in his eyes
  14. Safety #1. Behind Hyde we get Poyer, Anderson, etc. None do a thing for me. TE#2. Clay goes down, we got O'leary. Im a minority here to believe O'Leary can be a decent 2, but not 1. Lb#3. Brown is only servicable and can be masked with adequate help. But then we got Rags, who aint played a down, and by default wins a starting spot according to whatever position he wins/loses to Brown, and then Zo and a bunch of rookies and cast offs. Gerald Hodges, btw, helped our team alot. 3 spots between the 4.anyway,none may be best suited for the spot they win. Troubling to say the least. Cunningham was there for the taking and we passed...bummer Lastly, DE#4 We just simply need better depth
  15. Divisional Game Bystander.Diva, Good Bye!
  16. Dollar General Bust?Don't Go Backshoulder?
  17. Not saying he wouldn't useful in sub packages either. After all, we do face Brady's short attack twice every year. My point is, that's about all he'd be good for. Add in the injury risk, and it better be for cheap. Wasn't trying to imply an either/ or scenario.
  18. Exactly right. Maybe he's ok in coverage, but he is horrendous vs the run. Also, Hodges' grade was double that of Orr in run, and still higher vs the pass. I see not much value in him unless its for depth at a very affordable price... Add in the injury concerns, and I'd pass. If we need(we do) depth at lb, just wait till cuts come along and find someone that way
  19. I can realistically see a top 10 or so defense this year. McD can unleash the hounds, which should help with our young secondary. The big question will be the lbers. Tho im a big Reggie fan, we've not seen him play a single down yet in the nfl. Brown can be servicable and Zo/Hodges should be ok. Problem is, seems like most of them are best suited as mlb. We still never got an actual wlb who can cover consistently. So whoever gets the mike, the others by default will play the will...and im not a fan of starting players by default. However, I do think McD can move alot of players around at different times/situations to alleviate some of those perceived weaknesses. All in all, i expect a solid year. Perhaps not great, but 11 players on the field at the same time, all knowing their assignments, should improve the D by leaps n bounds
  20. I just want to see mental improvements...in assignments, in demeanor, etc.To me, thats the biggest, and most needed improvement of all. If McD can change that, we can be a more successful team with a chance at performing better
  21. Every great chef needs prep time. I have faith,as always, that THIS time we get it right😉 Im hungry damnit
  22. I must say, Jauron looked quite a bit like a liver, and Rex brought the onion. We tried to season it with an occasional Mularkey and Wade, but at the end of the day, it was still liver & onions. Let's hope for a cohesive stew for a change. Hell, I'd settle for a killer goulash at this point😉Simple, fulfilling, bang for your buck kinda dinner....
  23. Sooo....middle of the pack? Just like our record recently would indicate. I think its bullcrap honestly. I'd say top 5 fans. Even throughout the drought.
  24. I second that sentiment. The higher the pick we get next year, the better our roster gets.hopefully a franchise QB will be in the equation. If not, we still have plenty of room to improve.
