No QB plays perfect. The scheme is broken, the play calling is predictable, nobody can separate, Allen's skill set is not used properly. So yes everyone else is at fault. The obvious answer is the correct one.

Absolutely shocking the number of fans in this thread blaming Allen. That's what this regime has brought us to. Whatever the result of this season, short of a Super Bowl appearance they need to clean house. Another year of Allen's career cannot be wasted.

Good thing we didn't bother trying to run a serious interview process. McDermott just hands the job to the guy he's comfortable with.

Is this a real post? My least favorite part about McDermott is that he has made a certain segment of the fanbase blame Allen of all people.

And once again our much invested in special teams fails to make a play. This regime has totally mismanaged their priorities and they aren't even getting good returns from the misapportioned investments.

Our scheme sucks. Nobody can create separation and our scheme isn't creating it either. It's very much a "just line up and beat your man" offense.

An unforced mistake is our best defensive play of the day. I'll take it!

The DL is awful, again. Oliver has made one great play this entire season. Rousseau can push his man back but never finishes. DQ is over the hill. All those investments for crap production.

It's impossible to ignore the wide gap that exists between our offensive coaching and the other contenders. Can't just fire another OC though. The change needs to come from the top.

My god this offense really sucks. Their defense knows exactly what play we're running every time. Mack Hollins is still garbage. Just nothing easy at all.

Every designed screen or quick pass is immediately sniffed out by the defense. That part of our offense is completely broken.

Meh. Middling arm strength, inaccurate. Threw a bunch of interceptable passes against us in the wildcard round. Higher floor than Levis but lower ceiling too. Pretty much a lateral move.

Moulds is the quintessential example of a WR that took a couple years to reach his potential. For more recent examples, Davante Adams and Nico Collins. Coleman was known to be raw and young even for a rookie. Expecting him to be #1 WR caliber right out the gate was never fair to him. You can see all the physical tools that made him a highly graded prospect. Now he needs to learn how to use those tools to separate and he needs to come down with downfield catches in tight coverage more frequently.

Nothing weird about what's going on with Elam. There are simply two players on the roster that are better than him. If one of them goes down to injury, Elam will get his shot.

Josh Allen and good run blocking won us the Jets game. Davis did what we needed him to do, he was not exceptional. Personally I think Ty Johnson could have replicated his performance for the most part.

I put Rousseau in the same class as Oliver. Both players show elite flashes at times, but then you go multiple games where they are basically invisible, and they never make any kind of play against a good opponent in the playoffs. It's very frustrating honestly. I get the urge to extend them because it is hard to find even good talent at those positions, but Allen is about to get a raise so I don't know that we can afford to give another player in that tier a market value contact. Luckily we don't need to make the decision on Rousseau for another two offseasons. I imagine we'll draft an edge rusher high next year, we'll see how he does in 2025, then evaluate from there. I do not support giving him an early extension like we did with Oliver and Knox. Let it play out.
