  1. Yes, its completely nuts to put TT ahead of any of those guys. They are forced to carry a much bigger load than TT (79 attempts) vs. Big Ben (110), Rodgers (134), & Wilson (115).

But maybe you are right and Beane should see if those teams would want to trade Qbs because TT is a top 10 qb in qbr.

You put Russell Wilson ahead of Tyrod this season?

Try watching the games instead of looking up pass attempts. Is that seriously the metric you're using?? Not even pass yards, pass attempts??

  2. And this is where advance stats completely miss the boat. TT has a better qb than Rodgers, BigBen, and Wilson.

...and? It's only 3 games into the season so we need to wait for it all to shake out. But is it really that shocking to you that over a 3 game sample Tyrod could look better than those QBs? The Steelers offense has weapons all over the field and couldn't beat the Bears who have a poor defense. Russell Wilson has looked like crap this year, Tyrod has easily been a better QB than him so far. Rodgers is clearly far better than Tyrod but he has struggled as well.

  3. When you are constantly noticing someone on TV during the game it is usually because 1 reason.

They are being targeted hard. The gameplan is to go at them and see if they can hang. Humber has been targeted very heavily all 3 games. Making some plays and missing some

Poyer has been targeted a lot all 3 games as well and is holding it down . They may start moving away from Poyer and go to attacking Humber more

Tre got tested last week, had a rough start and finished Strong. If I'm attacking anyone on the defense it is Humber

Great points. Denver tried attacking our young corners and it wasn't working for them. Vance Joseph said as much in his presser, Tre and EJ played better than he expected. Humber is probably the weak link but he's holding his own. I love this defense, players and scheme.

  4. Awesome stuff as usual. I didn't know the tight ends were part of the pass protection problem but it makes sense. Luckily we just faced arguably the two toughest front 7s in football in a row, so it will get much easier from here on out.

EDIT: I just watched it. There was a defender untouched coming right at him. He has to make the pass because Zay was so wide open. But he was being rushed and hurried which caused the bad throw. A quartersecond more time he probably hits it. But it's no excuse. TT has to make that completion. Not sure you would call that an unforced error though.

That play was so frustrating. Like you said he needed a quarter of a second more to make the throw. I don't really hold it against Tyrod but he probably holds it against himself.

  5. key word - average

    next key word - 2017

    Chargers and Cowboys and Bills

    LA Chargers

    Philip Rivers 22/33 for 192

    Rushing 22 for 64 @ 2.9 ypp avg

    Dak Prescott 30/50 for 238

    Rushing 14 for 40 @ 2.9 ypp avg

    Tyrod Taylor 20/26 for 213

    Rushing 33 for 75 @ 2.3 ypp avg

Maybe Buffalo has the Better defense and maybe the Broncs are not as good as they were.

    2017 Bills D 12 ppg, Denver D 18ppg. 6 point Delta.

I'm not sure what this post is trying to say? Tyrod has played better against Denver than Rivers or Prescott. Dak got his yards in garbage time, you know that thing you use to disparage Tyrod's stats all the time. Do you think their defense took a step back? Did you think that before this week, or only after Tyrod played well against them?

  6. Yes, it was a team Win. The passing game was "good enough" to get the Win when Denver was able to stuff the run.

Other than being 20/26 everything else TT did in the passing game was his nominal performance. 213 yards on the button is his average.

6-16 on 3rd down needs to be improved.

Getting on the same page as Zay Jones is a must.

Denver allowed an average of 188.1 passing yards per game in the 18 previous games, or 183.5 on the road. So Tyrod had about 25 more passing yards than they allow on average. This despite a run game that wasn't working at all.

You know these stats don't exist in a vacuum, right?

  7. The Gift is the Bils Defense.

And the offense/special teams. In their previous 18 games before they played us, Denver allowed an average of 18.6 points per game. On the road in 2016, their defense allowed an average of 19.2 points per game. So we scored about a touchdown more than their average no matter how you look at it.

And of course Tyrod himself. Denver allowed an average passer rating of 70.9 to opposing QBs in the previous 18 games (or 70.8 on the road in 2016). Tyrod had a 126.0 passer rating, well above their average allowed.

Of course the defense deserves credit for the game, they played outstanding. But this was a team win.

  8. Go pound sand. You said the same thing before the Denver game and when the Bills crushed them, you tried to pretend you had not said they would dominate the Bills. Not worth talking to you.

There are a few posters like this. They whine about how the Bills don't have a chance, then when they win it's all excuses and moral losses. I am not sure how these people call themselves fans.

  9. Tyrod did what he had to do to secure a win.

The defense played great. Special teams were great. And the offense sustained drives and moved the chains.

With no run game to speak of, I credit Tyrod for playing a smart football game, protecting the ball, getting crucial first downs and for carrying the offense to enough points to get the win.

It was a great team win and Tyrod was a big part of it.

Not trying to pick on you, but what do you think about Cam Newton as an elite QB right now? Still elite and just injured or is there a bigger problem going on?
