  1. He was terrible last night. There is no such thing as a comeback win in preseason because the final score is meaningless. Preseason games are just a series of practice scenarios. It doesn't count as a comeback because the defense isn't game planning to stop it. Sure he played a little better as the game went on and the worst players on the Bears depth chart took the field. Any remotely competent QB should have been able to move the ball at will yesterday. It was embarrassing.

Remember when you guys got so mad when I said McCarron was trash like 5 months ago.

It wasn't too long ago there were people here mocking the idea that Peterman would make the team, let alone start. Now he might be the odds on favorite.

Nothing if you want to delay the development of a qb that you traded up to take with the 7th overall pick.

Allen just turned 22 and has been focusing on football for less than 5 years. I highly doubt riding the bench for 8 games will delay his development all that much. There's a fair argument to be made that putting him behind our line before he's gotten used to NFL game speed will delay his development a lot more.

Nice, clean pockets on all three of these well executed throws.

Yeah but the argument is that the pocket was clean because he threw the ball on time before the pass rush had a chance to get to him. I don't know for sure how true that is, I'll leave it up to the coaches. But you can't really deny Peterman throws the ball about a half second quicker than Josh Allen which is an eternity in the pocket.

The reason there are no other 5 interception games in one half in the NFL is because there aren't any other  OC's in the league

who would have kept calling for passing plays after watching a very rattled 5th round rookie QB in his first game struggle.

Dennison and McD must have been telling Peterman after each inception to put it all behind him and keep throwing the damn ball.

Correct. I blame Dennison for that game as much as Peterman. You're starting a rookie QB with less than a full week of practice as the starter, on the road, against a nasty defense. The game plan was terrible for that situation. I also blame Dennison for the pick he had at the end of the playoff game. Ooh I have an idea, let's have Peterman throw an outside curl route to a mediocre receiver who's covered by one of the best CBs in the league on the last drive of the game. Dennison should have been fired before the clock ran out.
